Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Stewards questioned co-trainer C Weir and Club Secretary T Music regarding the late scratching in Race 1 of CAWBOURNE PORSHE at 11.05am. After considering the evidence presented, Stewards were satisfied that a communication error had occured between both parties and deemed that no further action was necessary. PHAT PANTS was stood down under Rule 80.1.b for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial after failing to pursue the lure in Race 7. ZOE BRAND was stood down until the completion of one trial after an unsatisfactory performance in Race 7. Co-trainer D Fahey was fined $50 for presenting MEGA REXY late for kennelling.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	Racing into the first turn SON OF GRACE (1) checked off the heels of OKUKU BOBO (2) and lost momentum resulting in the trailing QUE TEE CHICKS (3) and PARTY ROCK (5) being hampered. Rounding the bend SON OF GRACE and JUMPIN SALLY (6) bumped on several occasions. Late in the run home SON OF GRACE had to shift ground outwards after being placed in restricted room by JUMPIN SALLY.
Race 2	Sky High Scaffolding Sprint - C0 - 295	BLACK BARRACUDA (1) and SMOOCHY JEWEL (10) were slow to begin. BLACK BARRACUDA was checked leaving the back straight by BUBLIN JED (3) which shifted down to the rail. Into the turn FIGLIA (6) checked off the heels of RUSTY KNIFE (8) and was obliged to shift wider on the track to regain her balance. Leaving the bend RUSTY KNIFE and SMOOCHY JEWEL made contact.
Race 3	Angler's Arms Tavern Dash - C1 - 295	Racing into the turn HOMEBUSH NOS (6) and AL'S BEST MATE (1) shifted ground resulting in KATIE ATE IT (2) and BLUE GALE RISE (3) which were racing between both dogs being checked.
Race 4	Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C1 - 295	MULBERRY BROOK (2) was slow to jump. Into the turn MULBERRY BROOK lost ground after being hampered by LIQUORICE WHIP (3). OHOKA BLUE (9) and SPRINKLES (7) bumped leaving the turn.
Race 5	Barron's Supplies Stakes - C0 - 520	MR BARRY (5) was very slow to begin. Shortly after the start HOMEBUSH MARLOW (4) shifted outwards and collided with KAINO (7). Early in the run home WEE TERRA (3) checked off the heels of MR BARRY.
Race 6	Hampden Tavern Stakes Heat - C1q - 520 Heat 1	TODDY'S A FLYER (4) and HOMEBUSH ZELDA (8) made contact in the run to the first bend. Into the first turn FALSE NOTION (1) was checked by AIR FLOW (6) and lost significant momentum. HOMEBUSH ZELDA shifted inwards rounding the first bend and made contact with the rail. HOMEBUSH ZELDA was referred to the vet for assessment. When spoken to regarding the performance of THRILLING SOUND, co-trainer B Evans explained that she was confident of a good performance from the dog and was of the opinion that THRILLING SOUND races best when able to jump quickly and position itself close to the pace.
Race 7	C.T.V. Dash - C1 - 295	ZOE BRAND (7) stood in the boxes as the field jumped losing considerable ground. HOMEBUSH ESME (8) became awkward in its galloping action shortly after the start and lost ground finishing some distance from the remainder of the field. HOMEBUSH ESME was referred to the vet for assessment. Into the first turn PHAT PANTS (3) when leading eased. Rounding the bend PHAT PANTS shifted outwards dictating the line of MAMALULU (5) which was forced wider on the track. PHAT PANTS again eased turning into the home straight when clear of the field. PHAT PANTS was examined by the veterinarian and cleared of injury. Co-trainer A McCook admitted a breach of Rule 80.1.b in that PHAT PANTS failed to pursue the lure and was stood down for 28 days (1st offence) and must trial satisfactorily on one occasion. Trianer B Dann was spoken to regarding the performance of ZOE BRAND. After considering submissions from Mr Dann and viewing replays of the race, Stewards deemed the performance of ZOE BRAND to be unsatisfactory and the dog was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.
Race 8	Hampden Tavern Stakes Heat - C1q - 520 Heat 2	Into the first turn KNOW FUTURE (5) and MASSAGE ONLY (4) made contact, with the trailing OPAWA CASSIDY (3) being checked. MASSAGE ONLY and KNOW FUTURE continued to make contact rounding the first bend. BOTANY KEVIN (8) checked off HUSTLER AMBITION (6) turning into the back straight.
Race 9	Hampden Tavern Stakes Heat - C1q - 520 Heat 3	STICH UP (2) shifted outwards onto WUNZEE (3) soon after the start. Into the first turn NOM DE PLUME (5) shifted down the track and crowded the racing room of CAR BOOTLE (4) and WAGON WHEEL (1) who was checked. WUNZEE and STICH UP were also checked in this incident. CAR BOOTLE (4) and NOM DE PLUME (5) continued to make contact rounding the first bend. WAGON WHEEL was checked by SONIC DUFFER (8) turning into the back straight. As a result STICH UP was forced wider on the track.
Race 10	Hampden Tavern Stakes Heat - C1q - 520 Heat 4	In the run to the first bend BANK ROLLER (7) had to check off the heels of MOON AND SEA (2). BABY JAMES (1) lost contact with the field rounding the first bend and finished last by a considerable distance. BABY JAMES and GIRL PRIDE (5) were referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 11	Hampden Tavern Stakes Heat - C1q - 520 Heat 5	Racing into the first turn YAPSTER JEWEL (1), KNOW TASTE (4) and OPAWA CUDDLES (6) collided. Rounding the first bend MCJOPSON (3) checked off the heels of OPAWA MEZ (5) losing momentum.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C1 - 295	CANDY BELLE (2) and HILTON FRIDAY (3) came together racing into the first bend.
