Judicial report: Co-Trainer D Fahey made application under Rule 82.5 for OPAWA ZARA to be re-examined by the on course Veterinarian after it was stood down for a ten day period at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club's meeting on Friday, 20th September 2013. This examination revealed OPAWA ZARA to be free of any injury and the ten day stand down has accordingly been rescinded.

An investigation was opened into the reasons why LAW TO EXCEL, which was engaged in race 10 on today's programme, was able to be paraded at the start without the appropriate race rug on.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	Both BOTANY KEVIN (4) and ZOE BRAND (5) were slow to jump. Racing into the bend ALL AGAINST ME (3) checked off the heels of BELFAST SUZY (2). BELFAST SUZY raced wide around the bend forcing ZOE BRAND to cover extra ground. ALL AGAINST ME was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment which revealed the dog to be slightly tied up. No stand down was deemed necessary.
Race 2	Fanta Claws At Stud Dash - C1 - 295	BEE OSTEE (6) and WHAT I LIKE (5) were squeezed by LA FONTAINE (7) shortly after the start. CAWBOURNE BEAU (8) and WHAT I LIKE bumped when racing around the bend forcing WHAT I LIKE to race wide and CAWBOURNE BEAU to lose ground. QUATTRO (1) checked off the heels of CLAREMONT DIVA (3) shortly after leaving the bend.
Race 3	Robbie's Bar & Bistro Dash - C1 - 295	BILLY WEST (6) was a late scratching at the table on Veterinary advice. Racing into the bend TEEVEE GIDGET (4) raced in restricted room between BLUE GALE RISE (2) and CAWBOURNE PORSHE (5), this resulted in RED EYE MAX (3) suffering a slight check. BLUE GALE RISE had to check off the heels of CAWBOURNE PORSHE rounding the bend.
Race 4	C.T.V. Maiden - C0 - 520	Racing into the first bend VINNIE BAXTER (5) came down the track forcing SHELDON BAXTER (4), TAI BAXTER and HOMEBUSH MARLOW (2) to race in restricted room with the latter losing ground.
Race 5	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	Racing into the bend BELISCONI (9) raced in restricted room to the inside of KATIE ATE IT (4) and was severely checked.
Race 6	Terra Keroma At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520	GOLDSTAR JEANIE (5) was a late scratching at 4:39pm after being found to be in season. This Bitch was stood down for the mandatory 28 days. Racing out of the final bend OPAWA CASSIDY (7) checked off the heels of GAY THORLEY (3).
Race 7	Bill's Bar & Bistro Dash - C1 - 295	Racing into the bend PARTY ROCK (5) climbed onto the heels of LIQUORICE WHIP (9) costing this runner its chance in the event. MULBERRY CATO (1) was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 8	Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C1 - 520	Shortly after the start KNOW SOLUTION (3) was placed in restricted room between THRILLING JONAH (2) and BIZARRO (4). Racing into the first bend BABY JAMES had to check off the heels of KNOW SOLUTION. KNOW SOLUTION was referred to the vet for assessment .
Race 9	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	DON'T CALL ME (1) was slow to jump. Racing into the bend PANDORA DOLL(7) Was placed in restricted room between BLACK TANK (5) and CANDY BELLE (8) who had to check off the heels of DON'T CALL ME shortly afterwards.
Race 10	Garrard's Horse & Hound Stakes - C1 - 520	The start of this event was delayed due to the correct number being required for LAW TO EXCEL (10). OPAWA CUDDLES (2) had to check off the heels of MOON AND SEA (3) shortly after the start. Just prior to the first bend LAW TO EXCEL was checked when racing between OPAWA CUDDLES and OUT BLACK BILL(8)
Race 11	racingdogs.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	Shortly after the start PADDY BAXTER (7) bumped STICH UP (5) down the track. Racing past the winning post on the first occasion KNOW TASTE (2) was placed in restricted room between OHOKA TAYLOR (1) and MULBERRY HUNTER (9). MULBERRY HUNTER then continued down the track causing OHOKA TAYLOR to check. Racing into the first bend STICH UP raced on the heels of MULBERRY HUNTER which caused KNOW TASTE (2) and OHOKA TAYLOR to race wide.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C1 - 295	KETUT (4) was inclined to race wide around the bend.
