Judicial report: Trainer D Stapleton made application to the stewards prior to the race meeting for PAYMENT DUE (Race 2) to be allowed to wear ear plugs. After consultation with the RIU veterinarian the application was duly granted by the stewards.

Race 1	Happy 60th Ken McFarlane Sprint - C1 - 310	CAWBOURNE CLOCK was slow to begin. Racing towards the bend BLACK TRIGGER was crowded for room and ALL TOO HARD was jostled and forced outwards becoming momentarily unbalanced. On the turn for home HAZZA'S GOT SWAG had to check out off the heels of SAM'S FLYIN NORM.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310	PAYMENT DUE was presented to race to race up 2.6 kilograms in weight. Trainer D Stapleton confirmed this was planned as the dog had not raced for several months. JOEY'S SECRET was slow to begin. THIAGO shifted in after the start making firm contact with SOME GENES. Racing into the bend SOME GENES shifted out forcing ROSE BOW out onto PAYMENT DUE which was buffeted and lost ground. ROSE BOW continued to shift ground outwards taking HOMEBUSH TITAN wider on the track. Stewards ordered a post race vet examination of PAYMENT DUE which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 3	Roofing Solutions Stakes - C2 - 545	SEA SPRAY DORIS, OPULENT and KNOW PERIL all jostled over the early stages.
Race 4	Bramwell Scaffolding Stakes - C1 - 545	SHADOW WOLF and TANTO'S WHISPER made heavy contact on jumping away with both runners losing ground. Racing to the first turn GIRL PRIDE lost ground when shifting in and making firm contact with BIG GIRL WELSHY. Into the bend PUKEKO EXPRESS shifted out making contact with SHADOW WOLF who was forced wider on the track.
Race 5	Far South Challenge Heats - C5q - 545 Heat 1	KNOW ATTEMPT was slow to begin. Into the first turn OPAWA SWEDE shifted in causing KNOW ATTEMPT to shift outwards checking WILD GROVE, RAW ENERGY and BONE NERD.
Race 6	Green Island Super Liquor Sprint - C1/2 - 310	VITALIZE jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths. Into the bend FINGER POP made contact with AYKROYD which lost ground.
Race 7	Pryde Engineering Sprint - C3/4 - 310	Racing into the bend KID KAHN shifted outwards checking BOTANY PRANCER and PRIMITIVE with all three runners losing ground.
Race 8	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C3/4 - 545	SHOULD BE CARLOS was slow to begin. Racing towards the first bend AUDULTEROUS and HOMEBUSH IRIS made firm contact resulting HOMEBUSH IRIS shifting out onto CELESRTIAL MAGIC who was turned sideways into the line of HOMEBUSH VIOLET with both these runners falling. Badly checked as a result was SHOULD BE CARLOS. At the end of the back straight BOB'S EYE lost momentum when shifting in and making contact with LINCOLN FLYER. All runners completed this event. Stewards ordered post race veterinary examinations of CELESTRIAL MAGIC and HOMEBUSH VIOLET with the subsequent examination revealing no injuries to either dog..
Race 9	Far South Challenge Heats - C5q - 545 Heat 2	KNOW CLASS, SPEEDY KAZZA and NO UNDIES SUNDY jostled over the early stages. PALUCKA was turned sideways racing towards the first bend when making contact with OSCAR TUIVASA. Into the first bend OSCAR TUIVASA and NO UNDIES SUNDY made firm contact. KNOW CLASS was held up for racing room rounding the home turn.
Race 10	Roofing Solutions Sprint - C3 - 310	HEZA SENSATION was slow to begin. Into the bend HEZA SENSATION clipped the back of THRILLING CLOVER and fell. THRILLING CLOVER completed the race and was checked by the Veterinarian which revealed no abnormalities. .
Race 11	Speedprint Shop Sprint - C5 - 310	ANOTHER COLT was slow to begin. Racing towards the bend HOMEBUSH HELEN was checked when squeezed between runners resulting in the trailing DRYSDALE being checked and forced wider on the track and making contact with ANOTHER COLT.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 8th October Sprint - C3/4 - 310	Racing towards the turn MISS SWEET was clipped from behind by DYNA GROLL. Well into the bend AS FAR AS and TAIERI PLAINS made firm contact. MISS SWEET was observed to have an injury to the near hind on pulling up. Stewards ordered a post race veterinary inspection of MISS SWEET which revealed only a minor laceration.
