Judicial report: Due to insufficient catchers being present on course for todays meeting discretion was shown in relation to catching dogs in distance races today.
Very strong winds were prevalent throughout todays meeting.

Race 1 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C0 - 310 | TEPERITA ENFORCE and JOEY'S SECRET were both slow to begin. Racing down the back straight HOMEBUSH TITAN shifted in tightening MULBERRY MACRO and TEPERITA ENFORCE with both runners becoming unbalanced losing momentum. MULBERRY MACRO ran wide on the final bend and into the straight. |
Race 2 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 545 | TANTOS WHISPER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start ZAHRA shifted out making contact with SHEZ KEEN.who was shifted out into the line of MASTER AT ARMS resulting in that runner checking TAI BAXTER. Racing into the first bend SHELDON BAXTER dictated ZAHRA wider on the track. |
Race 3 | Speedprint Shop Stakes - C1 - 545 | Racing into the first bend AUTUMN SPIRIT and OPAWA LEEANNE made contact. OPAWA LEEANNE and AUTUMN SPIRIT both ran very wide down the back straight. |
Race 4 | Roofing Solutions Sprint - C1 - 310 | LA FONTAINE shifted inwards at the start causing tightening to ZED KAY MAN, MAX'S LAD and HAZZA'S LAD. LA FONTAINE continued to shift inwards down the back straight making contact with COSMIC ECHO on several occasions. HAZZA'S LAD and LA FONTAINE made heavy contact racing into the bend with both runners losing their momentum. ZED KAY MAN shifted off the heels of HAZZA'S LAD near the home straight which forced MAX'S LAD wider on the track. |
Race 5 | Forbury Sports Bar Sprint - C1 - 310 | RED EYE MAX was slow to begin. SANDI CLAWS and FIREMANS LEGACY made firm contact on two occasions racing down the back straight with SANDI CLAWS losing some momentum. Into the bend HAZZA'S GOT SWAG lost some ground when checking off the heels off RUBY'S GIRL. |
Race 6 | Roofing Solutions Stakes - C1/2 - 545 | ROB'S MATE shifted in after the start crowding CAWBOURNE KESHA and SEA SPRAY DORIS. CAWBOURNE CRAZY and OPAWA STRETCH made contact racing into the first bend. SEA SPRAY DORIS ran very wide in both straights. |
Race 7 | Pryde Engineering Stakes - C3 - 545 | COVER TO COVER raced wide in the early stages. OPAWA BART was crowded and lost momentum over the early stages. OPAWA BRO was checked on the home turn when runners either side shifted ground. |
Race 8 | Green Island Barber Sprint - C1/2 - 310 | COSMIC GALAXY was slow to begin. HETFIELD shifted in abruptly at the start making firm contact with SHIRAZ ROSE with both runners losing ground as a result. Racing into the bend MAKE YOUR POINT shifted out checking FANTA'S FEVER who lost ground and in doing so also hampered HETFIELD. SHIRAZ ROSE had to steady racing into the bend when awkwardly placed on the heels of FANTA'S FEVER. |
Race 9 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C3 - 310 | RONROSE HILL shifted in at the start inconveniencing OPAWA WALLY. Racing into the bend OPAWA WALLY and AUSTIN WANA shifted in crowding THEOKOLES who lost ground. TAIERI PLAINS had to steady and shift outwards further into the bend when RONROSE HILL crossed to the lead. The trailing CAWBOURNE PLUNGE was forced to race wider on the track as a result. OKUKU WEE MAN raced wide on the home bend and the final straight. |
Race 10 | Turbo Pick Six - C4 - 545 | CELESTRIAL MAGIC, BOB'S EYE, CRINITI'S and HOMEBUSH VIOLET all jostled in the run down the front straight. SHOULD BE CARLOS, PALUCKA and HOMEBUSH IRIS jostled racing into the first turn. HOMEBUSH VIOLET was dictated wider racing into the first turn. CRINITI'S was checked racing off the back straight losing ground when awkwardly placed on the heels off HOMEBUSH IRIS. |
Race 11 | Green Island Super Liquor Sprint - C4 - 310 | BUCK ALEC shifted in and crowded ZEBIDIAH who lost ground racing into the turn. SOSAN and OPAWA RUFUS also jostled racing into the turn. Further into the bend OPAWA RUFUS had to check outwards off the heels of HEZA SENSATION. On the home turn BUCK ALEC shifted outwards forcing MISS SWEET wider. |
Race 12 | Racing Again Tuesday 24th September - C5 - 310 | CHARLIE's CHOICE was slow over the early stages. PRINCELY DOLLAR shifted in just after the start crowding CAWBOURNE QUEEN, WISE WONDER and BUGSY BANGLES. Racing into the bend PRINCLEY DOLLAR shifted out hampering OSCAR TUIVASA which lost momentum. As result the trailing CAWBOURNE QUEEN was also hampered. Well into the bend CHARLIE'S CHOICE and ANOTHER COLT made firm contact. Stewards ordered a post race veterinary examination of PRINCELY DOLLAR which was trapped momentarily under the lure on pulling up. The subsequent examination revealed only a minor injury to the dogs ear. |
