Judicial report: Trainer R Blackburn was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 in that she failed to catch AXEL GRINDER at the conclusion of Race 4 as arranged.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C4 - 295	AUSTIN WANA (8) was the last to jump. WANDY CHICK (4) and RINGA DING (5) were both tightened in the early stages and lost ground. Into the bend WANDY CHICK angled outwards causing SOSAN (6) to be checked and drop to the rear. WANDY CHICK and AUSTIN WANA both came to grief at the lure but suffered no ill effects.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Marcie Flipp Sprint - C4 - 295	WANDY BOILER (4) and BATIATUS (6) collided soon after the jump and dropped to the rear. OPAWA RUFUS (3) was badly tightened into the bend as ZEBIDIAH (8) crossed towards the rail with OPAWA RUFUS then shifting up the track and pushing KNOW WISDOM (7) very wide on the bend. Shortly after ZEBIDIAH lost some momentum as he continued to angle inwards and contacted PURE AND SPECIAL (2) who also lost a length. OPAWA RUFUS fell at the lure and together with BATIATUS were checked and passed by the vet after her assessment.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4/5 - 295	PRIMITIVE (8) was the last from the traps. STARBURST BLANCH (4) angled inwards in the early stages dictating the line of BUGSY BANGLES (3) for some distance. BUGSY BANGLES then checked off the back of runners into the bend and lost momentum.
Race 4	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C3 - 520	AXEL GRINDER (4) was a clear last at the jump. FIREMAN'S ROCKET (5) checked off the heels of OHOKA FRENCHI (2) in the run to the first bend and lost a length. On the entrance to the back straight OPAWA BRO (1) angled outwards when placed close to the heels of POPSTAR ROCKET (7) checking RED TYPHOON (6) who lost ground. OPAWA BRO then continued his outward movement pushing ALISARAY (8) very wide on the track. RED TYPHOON changed ground to the inside on the home turn losing some momentum. OPAWA BRO fell at the lure but was cleared of any injury. Stewards viewed all angles available to ensure that OPAWA BRO had not turned his head when shifting outwards in the back straight and determined that this was a racing incident and as such no further action was deemed necessary.
Race 5	Opawa Racing Dash - C4 - 295	KNOW LIES (2) was last from the traps. GOTTA GO ACE (8) angled inwards on the home turn coming together with OPAWA LEGS (6) for a stride and then with the momentum shifting outwards tightening KNOW LIES and contacting STING ME (7) for a stride. FIZZLE BALE (3) lost ground in the early stages and finished a distant last with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C4 - 520	BLACK EMILY (4) and PALUCKA (8) were the last pair on jumping. HOMEBUSH IRIS (1) ducked outwards for a stride at the jump and checked TAKE A TRICK (2). TAKE A TRICK was then badly tightened into the first bend and lost ground checking BLACK EMILY in the process. OPAWA NO EAR (5) also received a check into this bend and caused inconvenience to PALUCKA who was improving to his outside.
Race 7	Speedy Recovery Calum & Chase Weir Dash - C4/5 - 295	ANOTHER COLT (7) was last to jump. KNOW RIVAL (6) checked outwards off the back of ELKI (8) on the home turn and pushed NOT A KNOW (4) wider on the track.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C4/5 - 520	SPEEDY KAZZA (5) ran outwards in the early stages checking SHOULD BE CARLOS (7) and BIGTIME KELINA (8) who both lost ground. On the first turn INDI'S GRACE (6) checked outwards when contacting WAYLEGGO (4) on her inside. This outward movement caused KNOW CLASS (3) to shift wider and badly check SPEEDY KAZZA with this bitch being forced to the extreme outside of the track and losing her chance. BIGTIME KELINA was held up behind runners on the home turn making ground late for fifth.
Race 9	C.T.V. Distance Feature - C2d - 645	THRILLING JONAH (7) dropped to the rear soon after the jump after being checked by JINJA POWER (6) who had run outwards. This dog was then tightened into the first bend and dropped to a clear last. BOB'S EYE (2) angled outwards into the first bend pushing JINJA POWER and ULTIMATE DREAM (8) wider on the track.
Race 10	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C4/5 - 295	ATE PIZZA (7) ran inwards checking the favourite CIRI RIOLI (5) in the early stages with CIRI RIOLI settling in midfield. WANDY JEWEL (3) angled outwards into the bend pushing KNOW JEALOUSY (6) and JUMPIN' JULIA (8) wider on the track.
Race 11	Sky High Scaffolding Stakes - C4/5 - 520	FEAR GO (9) and KNOW ATTEMPT (8) were very slow to jump with RAW ENERGY (4) also settling well back. OPAWA JED (5) ran outwards in the early stages checking CAWBOURNE PHILIP (7). At the end of the back straight BANBIT (6) angled inwards and tightened RAW ENERGY who was improving along the inside with this runner then losing ground.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4/5 - 295	ETCHED IN STONE (6) was last to jump. HOMEBUSH CHURRO (5) was checked in the early stages and dropped to the rear as CAWBOURNE QUEEN (7) ran inwards. STARBURST JOSH (8) crossed the face of the field in the back straight checking PEARL'S BOY (3) with both runners losing momentum.
