| Race 1 | General Engravers Ltd Sprint - C1 - 375 | WHERE'S THE CAT was awkwardly away for a stride ,he was caught behind runners in the early rush when looking for racing room ,he was unable to get clear until the home straight where he finished well for 3rd placing at the line . IKE JONES raced wide in to and across the top bend . |
| Race 2 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Stakes - C0 - 457 | ERENA'S GIRL lost a couple of lengths at the start ,she attempted to make whilst ground racing wide in to and across the top bend ,eventually finishing towards the rear at the line CIRCUS ACT drifted across the top bend to the rear ,he lost a couple more lengths turning for home finishing several lengths in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found The Stewards discussed the performance of CIRCUS ACT with the Trainer J Black ,who advised the Stewards that he was disappointed with the run and the dog will not be perservered with any longer and has been retired from racing . |
| Race 3 | YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C3 - 375 | SYDILICIOUS was slow away by several lengths ,he attempted to make ground in to the first turn , he ran on to the heels of CIAO FOR NOW with both of these runners being hampered losing ground ,SYDILICIOUS made good ground there after along the inner to finish in midfield TIGER KAREN and MEGA UPLOAD raced widest across the top bend and in to the home straight covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running . |
| Race 4 | Cogswell Surveys Ltd Stakes - C1 - 457 | CAWBOURNE LOGAN after being tardy to box was slowest away by a couple of lengths ,THRILLING REBEL was also only fairly away with these two runners racing in the rear there after . Racing on to the top bend JINGA JAM and TEEGZ came together with both runners being checked and losing ground ,they never got back in to contention there after . |
| Race 5 | Garrards Horse And Hound Sprint - C3 - 375 | BIG BOLT ( fav ) lost his footing in behind as they jumped away from the start ,he lost 5 or so lengths being a clear last in to the first turn, BIG BOLT made ground there after running in to 5th placing at the line . SENORITA CHANG raced handy but wide throughout covering a fair amount of extra ground ,was still able to finish in to 2nd placing at the line . |
| Race 6 | Greyhound North Distance - C2d - 650 | MR CHINO and JETSUN FLAME both stumbled slightly on leaving the boxes . |
| Race 7 | The Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C5 - 375 | EXPLOSIVE OSTI and KIWI GIRL were slow away ,KIWI GIRL was checked and tightened back from between THIS IS SWIP and EXPLOSIVE OSTI soon after ,KIWI GIRL then ran out making contact with ATE POWER , KIWI GIRL went back to a clear last in the running racing widest across the top bend and in to the home straight covering a fair amount of extra ground throughout . COSMIC PEARL and LORD WILL bumped racing in to the first turn when vying for the lead . |
| Race 8 | Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Sprint - C2 - 375 | VIVA VANE ( fav ) was slow away from the start ,he was bumped and checked sideways as ANOTHER BURST and ONLY KATE collided ,VIVA VANE lost ground back to the rear ,VIVA VANE was held up for racing room racing and catching heels when tightened in to the first turn with REALON RUMBA on his outer being severely checked and going back when catching the heels of VERY CHILLY who moved inwards at this point . VIVA VANE finished midfield at the line with REALON RUMBA losing all chance after the earlier interference finishing towards the rear . |
| Race 9 | Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C4 - 375 | Soon after the start LOCHINVAR VINCINI, TARAPUNGA and MAHONIE all came together for a stride ,racing in to the first turn LOCHINVAR VINCINI was checked losing several lengths as TARAPUNGA cut inwards towards the rail taking the racing line of LOCHINVAR VINCINI who was unable to get in to contention there after . |
| Race 10 | All Sew Embroidery Sprint - C5 - 375 | From the jump GRIZZ angled inwards forcing WE'RE SO LUCKY in on to SUPERIOR IZMIR and DOWN THE BACK these runners were all checked with WE'RE SO LUCKY and SUPERIOR IZMIR being tightened and checked back ,SUPERIOR IZMIR shifted inwards catching the heels of AGENT VAN ALDEN as he and BELLSWILL came together . BELLSWILL drifted back racing across the top bend finishing several lengths in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found . BELLSWILL had not race since the 7-2-2013 with the connections expecting a good performance today and were disappointed with the run being unable to offer any explanation . BELLSWILL will be thoroughly vetted before his next start . |
| Race 11 | Palamountains Nutrition Stakes - C4/5 - 457 | Racing in to the first turn ZAGATO angled inwards to the rail galloping on the heels of EL JARRAH who faltered then drifted back to a clear last in the running thereafter very uncomfortable in his galloping action finishing a distance in the rear at the line EL JARRAH was referred to the vet for assessment . |
| Race 12 | Affordable Pet Accessories Stakes - C2 - 457 | LOCHINVAR BRANDO ( fav ) jumped away awkwardly ,was then quickly in to stride BUBLIN GOLD from the wide box was away well vying for the lead racing to the first turn ,just lost his footing in behind when clear of other runners almost falling ,he recovered his stride to be a clear last in the running trying hard to make ground however was too far back to improve . BUBLIN GOLD was referred to the vet for assessment. After reviewing the film several times the Stewards could not see any reason given the very good state of the track as to why BUBLIN GOLD lost his footing at that point . |
