ATTACK WIDE (4) ran inwards in the back straight severely tightening STARBURST BENNY (3) and COSMIC ECHO who both lost ground. In behind these runners QUE TEE PIX ran inwards sharply and collided with this pair dropping to the rear. |
| Race 2 | Fanta Claws At Stud Stakes - C0 - 520 | ZULU BRO (6) missed the jump and then stumbled for a stride settling five lengths last. CASINO BLACK (3) and the hot favourite OPAWA MEZ (8) were also in the rear group on settling. OPAWA CHRIS (7) angled inwards into the first bend causing tightening to COURT THE BELLE (5) and STICH UP (2) on his inside. An improving ZULU BRO ran wide around these runners which in turn pushed CASINO BLACK over extra ground. MCJOPSON (1) was inclined to shift up the track into the first bend keeping OPAWA MEZ wider when this bitch was attempting to improve. |
| Race 3 | Angler's Arms Tavern Dash - C0 - 295 | VIENNA (3) was a clear last on jumping. KERAMUS (5) ran outwards into the bend and badly checked his sister KERAMUS GIRL (6) and MARY MARLOW (8) with this pair losing ground. CONNECT THE DOTS (2) was badly hampered in behind these runners. KERAMUS then checked off the back of HETFIELD (7) and lost ground with HETFIELD losing momentum at this stage. On the home turn KERAMUS ran inwards when recovering and tightened VIENNA who lost a length. |
| Race 4 | Chris & Lisa Earl Stakes - C1 - 520 | OUT BACK BILL (1) was the tardiest from the inside. OPAWA CASSIDY (5) was tightened in the early stages as KNOW FUTURE (6) angled inwards with OPAWA CASSIDY dropping to the rear. Soon after OHOKA SANDY (3) was tightened for room and ran outwards checking KNOW FUTURE. THIRSTY KELVIN (8) commenced to weaken at the end of the back straight hampering OUT BACK BILL in behind with OHOKA SANDY being badly held up and losing momentum. |
| Race 5 | racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295 | WANDY MILLAH (5) and FLIRT WITH ME (6) both dropped to the rear in the early stages after FLIRT WITH ME ran inwards and the pair collided. Into the bend HOMEBUSH AWESOME (8) angled inwards and came together with the hindquarters of CEC DIVINE (7) who had been forced outwards with HOMEBUSH AWESOME falling. She regained her paws and ran to the lure clear of any injury. CAWBOURNE RANGA (4) and STAR GUN (9) also lost ground at this stage with WANDY MILLAH and FLIRT WITH ME being forced wide when attempting to improve around these runners. |
| Race 6 | Terra Keroma At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520 | GYPSY HUNTER (2) and OPAWA JEAN (6) were both a touch slow to begin. OPAWA JEAN ran wide around the first bend. RITE ROUND RANGE (5) received a slight check at the end of the back straight with OPAWA BRO (1) being forced wide at this stage. OPAWA STRETCH (8) angled inwards on the home turn coming together with BANK ROLLER (4) with this pair losing momentum. |
| Race 7 | Coaster's Tavern Dash - C1 - 295 | MASSAGE ONLY (1) was the last from the traps. GO NOLA (8) angled inwards on the bend with MOP HEAD (7) clipping her heels and running wide. This pushed HOMEBUSH LIMBO (6) and MASSAGE ONLY wider on the track. CAWBOURNE HURDO (3) angled outwards on the home turn pushing GO NOLA outwards on to CLAREMONT DIVA (2), MOP HEAD, HOMEBUSH LIMBO and MASSAGE ONLY with this quartet losing their winning chances. |
| Race 8 | Speight's Stakes - C1 - 520 | WANDY CHLOE (3) was last to jump. OPAWA PEARL (2) was tightened in the early stages and dropped to the rear. BLUSHING BELLE (6) ran wide into the first bend pushing KNOW SOLUTION (7) over extra ground. On the first bend GAME GIRL (4) angled inwards tightening WANDY CHLOE who lost ground. At the end of the back straight AXEL GRINDER (1) clipped the heels of the pacemaking THREE KNOTS (9) and lost a length. |
| Race 9 | Vital Petfoods N.Z. Bred Sprint Heat - C1q - 295 Heat 1 | PETRA HAKA (2) and BLUE GALE RISE (6) were the last pair on jumping. JACK'S A JEWEL (1) ran outwards in the back straight pushing PETRA HAKA and BLUE GALE RISE wider on the track. Into the bend JACK'S A JEWEL continued his outwards movement coming together with SON OF GRACE (8) for a stride. |

MEGA GIRL (4) ran inwards sharply in the early stages checking GOLDSTAR JEANIE (2). MER DE NOMS was then checked when attempting to improve along the inside with this runner dropping to the rear. |
