| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295 | OPAWA WALLY (1) was last to jump. SEA SPRAY TICH (7) checked off the back of FIREMAN'S ROCKET (8) and dropped out to a clear last. An improving OPAWA WALLY angled outwards on the home turn pushing EXCUSE PLEASE (4) and PHIL WART (5) wider on the track. |
| Race 2 | Sky High Scaffolding Sprint - C3/4 - 295 | KNOW LIES (3) was last from the traps. OPAWA LEGS (5) was tightened in the back straight and lost ground as CAWBOURNE PLUNGE (6) ran inwards. Into the bend HOMEBUSH EDITH (7) angled inwards causing tightening to FINGER POP (9) and CAWBOURNE PLUNGE who lost ground with OPAWA LEGS and CAMPAIGNER (2) being badly interfered with losing their chances. Trainer Blair Shaw was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner BUGSY BANGLES. He stated that last week on its downgrade run the dog was badly checked when improving and from the outside draw today connections were confident of a bold effort. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C3 - 520 | OPAWA BRO (3) settled at the rear. RED TYPHOON (2) and WANDY ON IN (5) bumped together for a stride in the run to the first bend. |
| Race 4 | C.T.V. Dash - C5 - 295 | NOT A KNOW (5) was tightened in the run to the first bend and lost ground. |
| Race 5 | Hampden Tavern Dash - C3 - 295 | RUNWAY QUEEN (1) and ALISARAY (2) were last from the traps. The favourite ATTACK WIDE (5) was tightened in the early stages and then ran inwards checking ALISARAY who was angling outwards. OPAWA RUFUS (7) and ADULTEROUS (6) both ran inwards in the back straight causing severe checks to WANDY PAUL (4), SMASH AMEGO (3) and RUNWAY QUEEN who lost ground. Into the bend SMASH AMEGO fell when racing to the outside of RUNWAY QUEEN. SMASH AMEGO regained his paws and ran to the lure with no abnormalities being found after assessment by the veterinary surgeon. |
| Race 6 | Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C4 - 520 | In the early stages CRINITI'S (8) crossed to the rail causing tightening to a number of runners with FEAR GO (5) and STARBURST CLEMMY (4) the worst affected and the favourite CELESTRIAL MAGIC (6) together with HOMEBUSH VIOLET (7) being forced to settle in midfield. On the home turn CELESTRIAL MAGIC shifted up the track forcing FEAR GO wider. |
| Race 7 | Flair Dash - C3/4 - 295 | WANDY GENO (7) ran inwards in the back straight causing tightening to BENNY'S ANGEL (6), CAWBOURNE CHIEF (5) and ENABLE (1) with this trio losing ground. On the bend ENABLE checked off the back of MEMPHIS HOTCAKES (2) losing more ground. |
| Race 8 | Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C5 - 295 | BUTTERBEAN (7) and WANDY BOILER (8) were the last pair on jumping. KNOW RIVAL (1) ran outwards in the back straight and came together with favourite DIXIE LEE (3) who lost momentum. BELLWAVE (5) was also checked in this incident. Soon after DIXIE LEE was again checked and lost ground with ROQETTE (4) and BELLWAVE being inconvenienced in behind. |
| Race 9 | Yaldhurst Hotel Stakes - C5 - 520 | UNSHAKEN (3) and WAYLEGGO (7) were the last pair to jump. BANBIT (9) was tightened in the run to the first bend as HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (8) crossed to the rail. At the end of the back straight CAWBOURNE RENEE (6) was checked and lost ground when racing to the outside of GORDON BALE (5). On the home turn UNSHAKEN angled inwards checking HOMEBUSH CHOPPER who lost a length when this pair were racing in the rear group. |
| Race 10 | Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C3/4 - 295 | NITRO MABEL (5) ran sharply inwards in the early stages checking KIN NIKKI (3), JUST A MATE (2) and TRICKY HARRY (1) who all lost ground. Into the bend NEW YORK AFFAIR (10) stumbled and lost ground with TRICKY HARRY being badly checked and losing his chance. Following this race KIN NIKKI was referred to the vet for assessment for a torn nail. |
