Race 1	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1 - 390	HAZZA'S LAD and NOISY LEO collided shortly after the jump and lost momentum. Into the turn NO LANE took the lead and then ran wide and lost several lengths.
Race 2	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C1 - 390	GLENN IS GOODSEY jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths. At the jump SMASH DORA shifted sharply inwards and lost ground after striking SHADOW WOLF. Into the turn ELLE WAVES crossed over and checked AYKROYD. On the turn GLENN IS GOODSEY struck the hindquarters of RUBY'S GIRL and went wide on the track.
Race 3	COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C1 - 390	FANTA'S FEVER jumped awkwardly at the start. RUMBALL AND ICE was slow to begin. MIGHTY FORTUNE and MARY MARLOW both made contact shortly after the jump. BLACK TANK shifted inwards approaching the bend checking FANTA'S FEVER. After the race DRIVE FIVE was examined by the veterinarian and found to have suffered a minor puncture wound on the left hind leg with no stand down required.
Race 4	WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C2/3 - 390	OPAWA WALLY and FINGER POP were both slow to begin. NEW YORK AFFAIR shifted inwards In the run to the bend checking WANDY PAUL and OPAWA WALLY on its inside. WANDY PAUKL was further tightened at the point of the turn.
Race 5	100% SELECTRIX - C2/3 - 390	THEOKOLES was 2.3 kg above its previous start weight however this was outside the 28 day period allowable. COSMIC BOLERO jumped awkwardly. STARBURST HANNAH and DYNA FRIER made contact at the jump. OKUKU WEE MAN shifted outwards after the start dictating STARBURST HANNAH wider on the track. DYNA FRIER mad contact with the hind quarters of OKUKU WEE MAN rounding the turn forcing OKUKU WEE MAN wider on the track. When questioned regarding the weight variance on THEOKOLES from its previous start kennel representative S Barber advised THEOKOLES was 1.7kg lighter in its previous start and it was the intention of the connections to return to its normal racing weight.
Race 6	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457	JIBBAJABBA JEWEL become awkwardly placed in the boxes prior to the start and was very slow to begin losing several lengths. In the run to the turn CAWBOURNE BEAU shifted outwards simultaneously as ZAHRA run inwards placing GIRL PRIDE in restricted racing room. GIRL PRIDE checked off the heels of WUNZEE rounding the bend with GIRL PRIDE being forced wider on the track. POISED BOY was also inconvenienced in this incident. JIBBAJABBA JEWEL ran wide rounding the bend. The Stewards were satisfied after viewing the replays of the start that JIBBAJABBA JEWEL had not turned in the boxes and was forward facing at all times.
Race 7	CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C1 - 457	WANDY CHLOE was slow to jump. GAME GIRL and SHEEZA FLOWER both made contact in the run to the bend. Both these runners ran wide rounding the bend.
Race 8	HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM EADE - C2/3 - 457	CAWBOURNE KIM bounded at the jump and lost several lengths.Racing into the bend OPAWA WEBBY shifted inwards with a reulting check to SHIRAZ ROSE and STARBURST CLEMMY which brushed the running rail. SHIRAZ ROSE after being checked was forced outwards with BOB'S EYE and OPAWA BART both being forced wider on the track.
Race 9	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C4/5 - 457	NO UNDIES SUNDAY shifted inwards at the start checking CHARLIE'S CHOICE. BLACK EMILY ran wide entering the home straight. After the race HOMEBUSH IRIS was examined by the veterinarian and found to have a small cut above the right eye with no stand down recommended.
Race 10	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C4 - 390	AUSTIN WANA was slow to jump. In the run to the turn HEZA SENSATION, MISS SWEET and CLAREMONT PIZZA came together several times with all three losing momentum. Into the turn AUSTIN WANA shifted outwards and checked MISS SWEET and CLAREMONT PIZZA.
Race 11	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C4/5 - 390	HOT MANGO scrambled away from the jump. HOT MANGO checked off the heels of BOLT RAMA approaching the bend. HOT MANGO and OPAWA LEGS made contact rounding the turn.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C4/5 - 390	FIZZLE BALE was slow over the early stages. Racing into the turn LITTLE MIDNIGHT which had shifted inwards caused generally tightening to several runners including JUST A MATE, SOSAN, MATTI OAH, RUSSELL HART and FIZZLE BALE. As a result FIZZLE BALE had to check off the heels of JUST A MATE making heavy contact with JUST A MATE with both runners running wide on the track. FIZZLE BALE become unbalanced with further contact being made with JUST A MATE.
