Race 1	Awapuni Dash C1 - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH ALEX jumped away awkwardly, settling at the rear of the field. RUNS LIKE AL and NINA BE GOOD jostled for a short distance after the start. Eventual winner RAVEON when leading, ran wide entering the home straight covering extra ground.
Race 2	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	Shortly after the start, NITRO LUIS angled in making contact with the hindquarters of YES HE WILL which became briefly unbalanced. Rounding the bend, KATE ROSE shifted out abruptly off heels crowding SUPREME SHELLEEN out onto YES HE WILL which losing its footing in-front and falling. YES HE WILL lost all chance as a result and was sent to the Veterinarian for assessment where no injury was detected. SAND BUSTER shifted out abruptly rounding the bend in search of clear racing room and early in the home straight shifted back inwards finishing the race off well for third.
Race 3	J P Print Petone C1 - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH JULIE, MISS MOET and KOTUMBA were all crowded approaching the turn when runners from the outside angled in at the point of the bend. MISS MOET and HOMEBUSH JULIE both lost ground as a result(3L) and never recovered from there on finishing towards the rear of the field. MISS MOET was sent to the Veterinarian at the request of the Trainer and found to be suffering from a split webbing in the right hind.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway C2 - C2 - 375	MY LITTLE OAH was the slowest to begin. GROOVY SHANE and CAWBOURNE STEFFI were both crowded and lost ground(2L) when racing toward the bend between EUNUCHS LUCH and PREFONTAINE who both shifted ground. CAWBOURNE STEFFI angled out wider rounding the bend forcing MY LITTLE OAH over extra ground. CAWBOURNE STEFFI remained wide from there on.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 Ht1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1	BOSTON CHANEL angled inwards shortly after jumping away tightening TARRYN'S PRIDE which became unbalanced briefly and losing ground(2L). AMY WINEGLASS was crowded racing down the back straight when ANOTHER ANOTHER shifted in towards the rail. AMY WINEGLASS as a result was checked and lost several lengths(5L). AMY WINEGLASS then angled out wider on the track for the remainder covering extra ground.
Race 6	Marton Stakes Ht2 C1 - C1q - 457 Heat 2	Favourite THRILLING BRAVE was slow to begin however showed good speed to drive up between runners throughout the back straight, going on to win the race well. QUEEN ROWDY shifted in abruplty from the boxes when in search of the lure. Racing into the turn, ALMOST GOT IT bumped with KING LUMPY forcing that runner onto heels and having to check. KING LUMPY then when in search of clear racing room angled out forcing ALMOST GOT IT over extra ground.
Race 7	Ashurst Sprint C3 - C3 - 375	KEZZ jumped away awkwardly and settled toward the rear of the field. HOT KING COLE after showing good early speed was checked on the point of the bend when FLYING BLAKE shifted out. HOT KING COLE as a result became unbalanced and lost valuable momentum and ground(3L). Shortly atfer HOT KING COLE had to steady off the heels of UNO GREEN and never recovered from there on finishing at the rear.
Race 8	Feilding Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	KANGO KLINK was crowded shortly after the start between WHAT'S UP GEE and CRUSHED MONKEY who both shifted ground. MI TI PA after begining with the field, was observed to not be hitting out correctly in its action and going into the first corner lost several lengths(5L). MI TI PA found the line well to finish in second last placing however was sent to the Veterinarian for assessment where a pectoral muscle injury was detected. Stewards spoke with Kennel representitive Luke Harding regarding the performance of this bitch however he could not offer any tangible excuse.
Race 9	Cloverlea Dash C4 - C4 - 375	RUN JUNIOR RUN was crowded shortly after the start when TIZ NOW shifted in towards the lure. SHANGHAI SAM shifted ground inwards abruplty off heels at the point of the bend tightening THRILLING CAIRO and RED MOOVA HOOVA which both as a result lost ground(2L). RUN JUNIOR RUN and TILT YOUR GLASS raced wide entering the home straight covering extra ground.
Race 10	Shannon Sprint C5 - C5 - 375	DADDY LOWE shifted out abruptly on the point of the bend checking UNO ALLEGRO which became unbalanced and made heavy contact with LITTLE BLACKSPOT. UNO ALLEGRO and LITTLE BLACKSPOT lost valuable momentum and ground as a result(4L) and never recovered from there on. Rounding the bend, CHARMING NEV angled wider making contact with DADDY LOWE which became unbalanced. MIRAGE from its wide box draw, raced wide throughout.
Race 11	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	JUST MAC was the slowest away from the boxes and settled back. BIGTIME LATTE and TRENDY KNOCKA"S jostled throughout the back straight and at the point of the bend, BIGTIME LATTE angled in checking TRENDY KNOCKA"S which lost its footing behind and going back through the field. The trailing DONKEY DEEP had to shift ground outwards abruptly to avoid the heels of TRENDY KNOCKA"S. A shortly distance further, JUST MAC improved up onto the heels of TRENDY KNOCKA"S who again became unbalanced and lost its footing. As a result TRENDY KNOCKA"S lost considerable ground and effictively all chance.
Race 12	Foxton Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	TENKAY DOWN and THAT"S KING were the slowest to begin. THAT"S KING shifted in on the point of the bend with the trailing TENKAY DOWN having to check off the heels of that runner. TENKAY DOWN then make his run wide rounding the bend, running home well to finish sixth.
