Track: Good The meeting was put back one race prior to race 7 when a group of Trainers expressed concern regarding an area of the track on the bend prior to the home straight. After being inspected by the Stewards and the Curator and his Assistant, some minor remedial work was carried out and the meeting proceeded without any further interruption. With 16 races, it is of interest that there were no reported injuries during the meeting.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	ONE EAR POISED began a little awkwardly and lost a length. HOMEBUSH CORAL and HO HO HO jostled together for several strides going to the first corner and HOMEBUSH CORAL was eventually checked back to the rear. HO HO HO bumped COYOTE CAUGHT YA from behind on the bend and COYOTE CAUGHT YA dropped back, was galloped on by ONE EAR POISED and he went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	KNOCKA OFF TIME shifted in when the start was made and bumped RUTHLESS which lost ground and settled at the rear where she remained for the entire race. The 2nd placed dog WUNZEE shifted in early in the home straight and checked KNOCKA OFF TIME which lost ground and this possibly cost the dog a closer placing than 4th at the finish.
Race 3	JP Print Petone C0 - C0 - 520	GUCCI RUSH shifted in going to the first corner and checked JUST LIKE PRINCE which then raced wide into the first bend losing ground and he stayed well back throughout.
Race 4	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305	All clear.
Race 5	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	ANOTHER GUNNA was slow to begin and settled back but made up some ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	KIRIBATI GIRL made contact with the hind quarters of GUNNA EXCITE going into the bend and shifted out forcing RED HERRING wide into the bend and they both lost ground.
Race 7	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 520	The meeting was put back by one race prior to the start of this race. ( Refer to Judicial Section ) TIME FOR WHAT was slow to begin losing two lengths. TEPIRITA TUITEKA shifted out going into the first corner and bumped BELLE CADEAU which was forced wide into the bend.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C2 - C2 - 305	MY BAD JONNY and STILL HELINA were slow to begin and they settled back and stayed well back throughout the race.
Race 9	The Rock 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA GIFT and MONKEY QUEEN bumped soon after the start and a few strides further on , CAWBOURNE REEAH and OPAWA GIFT also bumped together. MONKEY QUEEN shifted out going to the first turn and jostled with SYDENHAM OPAL with both losing ground.
Race 10	Morrie Gibbons Signs C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH ESME shifted out slightly going into the bend and checked ZIPPIT SWEETIE which lost four lengths and went back to the rear and finished last. I'M A CATCH shifted in going to the home turn and checked HOMEBUSH ESME and soon after , checked DUM DIDDLY DO and they both lost ground.
Race 11	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	DOLLY WIND shifted in from the start and bumped SYDENHAM JADE for a stride. WHITE LEGS checked off the heels of SUE SEWS SOCKS going to the first corner and shifted in and bumped UNO CHARM and SYDENHAM JADE. DOLLY WIND and SUE SEWS SOCKS jostled going into the first bend and they shifted out slightly forcing OPAWA TOKEN wide on the bend.
Race 12	Box 9 Catering C2 Final - C2f - 305	SYDILICIOUS was very slow to begin losing five lengths and all chance of a first four placing.
Race 13	Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305	GIRLY DREAMZ was slow to begin losing three lengths but she made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. SUB SILENTO checked off the back of NINA BE GOOD going into the bend and lost two lengths.
Race 14	Guthrie Bowron C1 - C1 - 305	GENIA HAKA, FAWN ALLEGRO and KIWI RANGER jostled together when the start was made and they settled back. WAIMAK DAVE shifted in going into the bend and checked TANYBRYN which went back onto KIWI RANGER and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 15	Renown Bakery C1 - C1 - 305	JAGER and SEDGEBROOK SKITE were a little slow to begin and settled back. RICH LIST was handy enough going to the first corner but changed stride, became unbalanced and drifted back to near the rear. He then made up ground from there to finish in 4th place.
Race 16	Last Race of the Season C1 - C1 - 305	One of the favourites ADDICTED was one of the slowest to begin and he was then checked losing ground going into the bend and was never able to make up the lost ground and finished in 2nd last place.
