Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	OPAWA GIFT and WHAT A PEANUT were slow to begin and settled back. The leader LITTLE RASCAL shifted out slightly going into the first corner and hampered HAT TRICK CHAOS which became unbalanced going into the bend and lost four lengths but recovered to finish in 3rd place. HOMEBUSH HALEY and WHAT A PEANUT were both referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 2	Morrie Gibbons Signs C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	OPAWA PRINCE began awkwardly losing four lengths but made up ground well to finish in 4th place. The favourite ZIPPIT SWEETIE drew box 8 and was held out a little wide going to the bend and was checked when making contact with WUNYA , became unbalanced on the bend and dropped back to finish in last place.
Race 3	J P Print Petone C1 - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 4	Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305	SURF QUAKE was slow to begin. ALL THE RAGE shifted out from the start and THANKS CHARLIE shifted in and this resulted in jostling between those two dogs and HOT KING COLE and YALDHURST EDWARD and they all lost ground and settled at the rear. ALL THE RAGE and HOT KING COLE raced a little wide on the bend, made contact and lost ground and finished in the rear group.
Race 5	Broad Roofing C3 - C3 - 305	CALM RITA was the slowest to begin and settled back. SCOTT NO MONEY shifted in soon after the start and caused checks to FOUR TOO MANY and STOCK TAKER and they both lost ground. BUT ITS GREAT shifted in going into the bend and collided and jostled with SCOTT NO MONEY with both dogs losing several lengths and they stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 6	Wanganui Security C2 Feature - C2 - 520	SMILE FOR DADDY and MI TI PA bumped together going into the first bend and they lost three lengths. GONE AWOL was jostled and checked back to last on the home turn when racing between MONKEY QUEEN and MI TI PA. GONE AWOL was referred to the the Vet for assessment at the Handlers request.
Race 7	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	jUST A BOY was the slowest to begin but made up ground well to win the race. HOMEBUSH DOMINO was handy on the bend but was checked losing several lengths when JUST A BOY improved through on her inside. AUSSIE HAKA, then galloped on the back of HOMEBUSH DOMINO and they both lost further ground and finished at the rear. HOMEBUSH DOMINO was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution.
Race 8	Harrison Hire Master C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	SEVEN IRON was checked and lost ground on the first bend. HELLO ELLO checked off the heels of MISSING MELODY on the final bend and lost ground but recovered quickly to finish in 2nd place.
Race 9	Mickey's Super Liquor C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	TIZ NOW shifted in from the start and bumped SANDS OF TIME and a few strides further on, TIZ NOW again shifted in bumping SANDS OF TIME and she lost ground on both occasions and settled at the rear. RANDO REASON made contact with the hind quarters of KRUSSIAN going into the bend and KRUSSIAN became unbalanced and lost a couple of lengths.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	ANOTHER BREEZE became awkwardly positioned in restricted room going to the first corner and into the bend losing four lengths and he never recovered and finished last.
Race 11	Wanganui Jockey Club C5 - C5 - 305	LLAMEDOS was handy on the bend but checked off the heels of the leader GURU GOOSE and went back through the field . She was then galloped on by RED MOOVA HOOVA and they both lost ground with LLAMEDOS being the most affected and she finished in last place.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	WEE DIGER, SLANGEVAR, RUN LACEY RUN and ERUZA bumped together going to the first corner and they all lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last four places.
