Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting was conducted in nice weather and proceeded smoothly.

Judicial report: The Board of the Wanganui Greyhound Club have ruled that the wearing of Jackets while handling Greyhounds in races is now optional for a trial period of three months.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	ANOTHER ANOTHER jumped inwards abruptly from the start and checked COOL HEIR which lost ground and settled at the rear. MISS SARA shifted out into the line of COOL HEIR as he improved and COOL HEIR galloped on the back of MISS SARA with both dogs losing three lengths and all chance of a first four placing.
Race 2	Woodville Sprint C1 - C1 - 375	CAWBOURNE ANNA shifted in going to the first turn and checked MISS MOET which lost two lengths. The 2nd dog MASONYX shifted out over the heels of the winner CREME DA GENES close to the finish line and hampered HOME BREWER which was finishing well. MASONYX was observed to be slightly lame following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C1 - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH DIAMOND shifted in from the start and crowded YEAH NAH and KOTUMBA which both lost ground and settled back. KOTUMBA shifted out on the bend and checked YEAH NAH and NINA BE GOOD and they lost ground and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway C1 - C1 - 375	MAC TAN was a little slow to begin and settled back. TIME FOR WHAT was checked going into the bend losing two lengths but recovered to make up ground well and finished in 3rd place.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 457	ALMOST GOT IT shifted in going to the first corner and crowded RUNS LIKE AL onto FLOSSY HAKA which was jostled for several strides and eventually checked losing several lengths. RUNS LIKE AL also lost three lengths in the incident. FLOSSY HAKA was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request.
Race 6	Marton Dash C2 Final - C2f - 375	THRILLING TUNE was bumped going into the bend, became unbalanced losing ground and he stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 7	Ashurst Dash C2 - C2 - 375	COARSAIR was awkwardly placed in restricted room between EUNUCHS LUCK and FLIRT ACADEMY going into the first corner and lost three lengths. Several strides further on, FLIRT ACADEMY shifted in and was galloped on by PETROL VOUCHER and they both lost three lengths.
Race 8	Feilding Dash C3 - C3 - 375	SEE TO BELIEVE shifted in from the start and caused checks to RANDO REASON, YALDHURST EDWARD, STUNT DOUBLE and TENKAY DOWN who was the most affected and he lost five lengths..
Race 9	Cloverlea Sprint C5 - C5 - 375	COSMIC MACK was awkwardly placed between runners approaching the home turn and was checked and ran wide into the straight losing ground and finished in last place.
Race 10	Shannon Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	One of the favourites BIGTIME JET was the slowest to begin and he then became awkwardly placed inn restricted room going into the bend and lost ground. A few strides further on, NECTER was checked back onto BIGTIME JET and they never recovered and finished at the rear.
Race 11	Foxton Sprint C5 - C5 - 375	ATTIRE and DONKEY DEEP bumped together when the start was made and settled back. One of the favourites CHARMING NEV jostled with COSMIC FURY going to the first corner and COSMIC FURY was eventually checked losing three lengths when tightened between CHARMING NEV and DARLEK KHAN and DARLEK KHAN also lost ground in the incident.
Race 12	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 - C4 - 375	FIRE BOY BAXTER was very slow to begin losing several lengths and he stayed back throughout the race. One of the favourites TARAPUNGA was crowded going to the first corner and lost ground. He then shifted out to race a little wide on the bend and finished in 5th place.
Race 13	Bulls Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	CAWBOURNE TILLY was checked losing three lengths when the start was made but she made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. ANOTHER DOLLAR and WHATS UP GEE were also checked soon after the start and lost two lengths. DECEIVER was checked going into the bend and she went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
