Incident Reports

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	The favourite ADDICTED bumped with JOHN BAXTER when the start was made and they settled back. Soon after, ADDICTED, GO RUSSEL GO, JOHN BAXTER and ADDIS MATE jostled together losing momentum. Racing into the bend, ADDICTED, JOHN BAXTER and GO RUSSEL GO jostled together and lost further ground. ADDICTED recovered the best of the three and made up ground well for 3rd placing.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	INTENSE ZOOM and LOOPTASTIC were slow to begin losing three lengths and they stayed back throughout the race. One of the favourites SHEZA WHAT WHAT began well to share the lead going to the first corner but then began to drift and bumped with HO HO HO on the bend. SHEZA WHAT WHAT then drifted to the rear and her galloping action appeared very awkward and she fell prior to reaching the lure. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. It was suspected that SHEZA WHAT WHAT may have pinched a back nerve.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 305	GROOVY LEO, ALL FOR ONE and RUTHLESS bumped together when the start was made and they settled at the rear. CLUAIN MEALA was handy to the lead going into the bend but was checked when WUNZEE improved through on her inside and CLUAIN MEALA was forced out onto WESTERLY WIND and they both lost ground and went back to finish in the last two places.
Race 4	Gary Ross Decorator C0 - C0 - 520	ANOTHER ANOTHER and BIG JOB JONESY bumped together going into the first bend and BIG JOB JONESY lost four lengths in the incident. A few strides further on BILLY HOLMES shifted out and collided with the hind quarters of ALL ABOUT AMY which was brought down and BILLY HOLMES lost several lengths in the incident. ALL ABOUT AMY was referred to the Vet for assessment and was found to be suffering pain over the left shoulder joint.
Race 5	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	YEAH NAH and JAGER bumped together at the start with YEAH NAH suffering the most and settled at the rear. YEAH NAH shifted out going into the bend forcing KIWI RANGER to also race wide over extra ground.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	BUBBLE OSTEE and NOAKI HURRICANE were slow to begin and settled at the rear. BUBBLE OSTEE shifted out going to the first corner and NOAKI HURRICANE clipped a heel of BUBBLE OSTEE and blundered for a stride but he recovered well to win the race.
Race 7	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	COLD TURKEY was the slowest to begin from the boxes and was bumped shortly after when SCARILICIOUS shifted in. Racing into the bend, CAWBOURNE ANNA and RIBA LORDA where both crowded for room when KATE ROSE shifted out off the rail. Also affected was the trailing COLD TURKEY which improved up onto the heels of CAWBOURNE ANNA, losing ground and momentum. Entering the home straight, RIBA LORDA had to check off the heels of CAWBOURNE ANNA which shifted out wider on the track.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305	GINA MAC stumbled shortly after jumping away, however recovered quickly. OPAWA BLACK and GINA MAC were crowded for a short distance after the start when CREME DA GENES shifted out. Both OPAWA BLACK and GINA MAC lost a length or so as a result. HOMEBUSH AWESOME shifted in at the point of the bend crowding CREME DA GENES which then shifted out across the heels of HOMEBUSH AWESOME, racing wide and losing momentum. OPAWA BLACK and GINA MAC came together and bumped when racing around the bend. When racing in the bend, THRILLING HALO improved up onto the heels of HOMEBUSH AWESOME and shifted out forcing CREME DA GENES wider on the track. Favourite CREME DA GENES which received a checkered run throughout was referred to the Veterinarian and was cleared of any injury.
Race 9	Keenan Concrete C1 Final - C1f - 520	BOTANY SEATON shifted in shortly after jumping away crowding SUE SEWS SOCKS in onto RITZA JACK which was bumped and becoming unbalanced briefly. Approaching the first bend, BOTANY SEATON had to check off the heels of RITZA JACK which shifted out on the point of the turn. As a result BOTANY SEATON raced wide rounding the bend.
Race 10	The Rock 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 305	CALM RITA was the slowest away from the boxes however recovered well to be on the pace going into the bend. There was general tightening when racing into the first bend with WUNYA shifting out checking HAT TRICK CHAOS and MR.BIG STUFF which was forced wider on the track. HAT TRICK CHAOS lost several lengths as a result. Also affected were the trailing HOMEBUSH ESME and EUNUCHS LUCK both had to check and race wider to avoid HAT TRICK CHAOS who came back into the line of those runners.
Race 11	Punter Of The Year 2013-19th July C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA GIFT began awkwardly and lost three lengths or so as a result. DUM DIDDLY DO which raced adjacent to the fence, raced in restricted room in the back straight when WHAT A PEANUT shifted ground in on several occasions. WHAT A PEANUT shifted out at the point of the bend causing YOUR ON FIRE to check off the heels of ZIPPIT SWEETIE. This resulted in YOUR ON FIRE losing several lengths and momentum. DIM DIDDLY DO was referred to the Veterianrian at the request of the Trainer and was found to be suffering a spike wound injury to the toe.
Race 12	Box 9 Catering C1 - C1 - 520	MAMMY BROWN angled in shortly after the start crowding MY LIL LUCIFER and DARBY LANE which lost ground. Shortly after BELLE CADEAU and DARBY LANE were crowded for room between NOISY LEO which shifted out and RUNS LIKE AL which shifted in. DARBY LANE lost three lengths or so as a result. NOISY LEO ran wide rounding the first bend, forcing BELLE CADEAU over extra ground. RUNS LIKE AL made the final bend awkwardly making heavy contact with DARBY LANE which became unbalanced. RUNS LIKE AL was referred to the Veterianrian for assessment and was cleared of any injury.
Race 13	Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305	SISAL was slow to begin. Into the bend, SISAL shifted out wider on the track and in doing so made contact with the heels of GUNNA EXCITE which became unbalanced briefly. JIMMY THE BUCK ran wide rounding the bend and early in the home straight forcing ANOTHER PIZZA, which was to the outside of that runner over extra ground.
Race 14	Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 520	Shortly after the start, GRADUATION and BOTANY MOLLY bumped and made contact with BOTANY MOLLY becoming unbalanced for a short distance. Racing around the first bend, BOTANY MOLLY and OPAWA STU collided with both runners faltering in their stride. OPAWA STU lost several lengths as a result. Into the final bend, TIME FOR WHAT had to steady and check off the heels of BOTANY MOLLY which shifted out. TIME FOR WHAT lost a length or so as a result with the trailing OPAWA STU having to check off the heels of that runner.
Race 15	Renown Bakery C1 - C1 - 305	FACE THE DEMON was slow to begin. JOLOKIA shifted in at the point of the bend crowding SEDGEBROOKE LAD which went back and lost a length and momentum as a result. Entering the home straight, RED HOT DUTCH shifted out abruptly off the heels of JOLOKIA forcing SNUFFALOPOGAS and SEDGEBROOK LAD over extra ground.
Race 16	Guthrie Bowron C1 - C1 - 305	Racing into the turn, GENIA HAKA angled in toward the rail resulting in TANYBRYN becoming crowded and having to steady and check off the heels of that runner. TANYBRYN lost several lengths as a result. ASIA OSTEE shifted out and made contact with TANYBRYN around the bend, with TANYBRYN becoming unbalanced and being forced wider on the track. DIXIE QUEEN raced wide throughout.
