| Race 1 | Awapuni Sprint C0 - C0 - 375 | COOL HEIR was a little slow to begin. ANOTHER DRINK and YAMBLA FLYER bumped together when the start was made. YAMBLA FLYER was awkwardly positioned inn restricted room going into the bend and was checked back to the rear. He then went off stride and finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment. TEN ELEVEN shifted out on the bend and forced CIRCLE OF LIFE to also race wide. |
| Race 2 | Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375 | COLD TURKEY, KOTUMBA and REBEL JOE bumped together as the start was made and they settled at the rear and were never able to improve their positions and finished in the last three places. HOMEBUSH ALEX shifted in going into the bend and checked HOME BREWER which lost two lengths. COLD TURKEY was observed to check over the heels of OPAWA BLACK entering the home straight and lost ground. |
| Race 3 | J P Print (Petone) C1 - C1 - 375 | GO WITH IT drew box one and was crowded as runners drawn further out shifted in and she went back to the rear. GO WITH IT was again checked on the bend losing two lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 4 | Manawatu Raceway C1 - C1 - 375 | MAINLAND SONIC was slow to begin losing two lengths and he stayed back throughout the race. MASONYX and SAND BUSTER came together and jostled for several strides near the finish line. |
| Race 5 | Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C2 Ht1 - C2q - 375 Heat 1 | One of the favourites BLACK HENNESSY was crowded going into the bend and lost ground. He then raced wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra groubnd and finished in 6th place. |
| Race 6 | Marton Dash C2 Ht2 - C2q - 375 Heat 2 | KAZILLION shifted in from the start and caused checks to BOUND BY PRIDE, MISSING MELODY and WUNYA and they all lost ground and settled back. |
| Race 7 | Ashurst Stakes C1 - C1 - 457 | CAWBOURNE ANNA and BELLDEEN were both checked going into the bend and they went back to the rear and never recovered the lost ground. |
| Race 8 | Feilding Dash C3 - C3 - 375 | ARMOUR and TENKAY DOWN jostled together for several strides going to the first corner and dropped back to the rear. TENKAY DOWN made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. EXCESSIVE SPEED was handy going into the bend but was checked soon after lodsing five lengths and all chance and he finished in last place. |
| Race 9 | Cloverlea Dash C4 - C4 - 375 | General tightening going to the first corner resulted in TALK IT OVER and EVER SO HOPEFUL losing their positions and they went back to the rear. |

| Race 11 | Foxton Sprint C4/5 - C4/5 - 375 | THRILLING HAVOC was hampered when the start was made and settled back. ATTIRE bumped with THRILLING HAVOC going into the bend and became unbalanced losing three lengths. BELLA DIOR was lame after cooling down following the race and was assessed by the Vet. |

BIGTIME KAREN was checked and blundered losing several lengths going into the bend and she stayed back for the remainder of the race. BIGTIME KAREN was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution. |
