Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly until shortly before the start time for race 8 when fog moved in over the track and the meeting was put back by one race in the interests of safety as the Lure driver was unable to clearly see the lure. The fog lifted sufficiently to allow the races to continue after a short time and the meeting proceeded smoothly from there and concluded 20 minutes later than the advertized time.

Judicial report: ANOTHER FANTASY, which was stood down on 05.07.13 due to a seasonal condition, was presented and examined by the Vet under Rule 82.5 and the original stand down was rescinded under Rule 82.6.
The time clock failed for the first of three heats for the Punter of the Year Cup and as a result, the three 3rd placegetters and the three 4th placegetters were drawn from a cup in the prescence of a Steward, to make up the field for the final.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned into the alleged use of abusive and foul language towards the Office Staff by Trainer Luke Phillips and the matter will be referred to the Judicial Control Authority .

Race 1	NZRS Sprint Ht1 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 1	ERUZA was slow to begin losing two lengths. LOUIELICIOUS shifted out slightly going into the bend and had to check over the heels of ANOTHER HIT and lost a length. Soon after, ERUZA checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DOMINO and lost two lengths.
Race 2	NZRS Sprint Ht2 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 2	MOON WARROWER shifted in soon after the start and forced RENE RANGER in across the heels of MEGA UPLOAD causing RENE RANGER to fall and he was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 3	NZRS Sprint Ht3 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 3	NEWTON WILLOW and BUMPA STICKER were a little slow to begin and settled back. IONA HAKA shifted in soon after the start causing checks to FULLA TORQUE, THRILLING HAVOC and MOODY MAN and they all lost a little ground with FULLA TORQUE the most affected. THRILLING HAVOC, NEWTON WILLOW and BUMPA STICKER bumped together entering the home straight and became unbalanced for a couple of strides.
Race 4	NZRS Sprint Ht4 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 4	KEZZ was slow to begin losing two lengths. CALL ME RALPH was also a little slow to begin but then looped the field to win with ease.
Race 5	NZRS Sprint Ht5 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 5	All clear
Race 6	NZRS Sprint Ht 6 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 6	HEY YOU shifted in from the start and caused checks to LITTLE RASCAL and MATILDA'S BABE and they lost ground and settled at the rear. LEADFOOT LENNY and CRYSTAL WAVE were also hampered and lost momentum in the incident. MATILDA'S BABE and LITTLE RASCAL collided going into the bend and LITTLE RASCAL fell but was quickly back on her feet and finished on the lure. She was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 7	NZRS Sprint Ht7 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 7	JACK'S FIRST checked off the heels of LITTLE BLACKSPOT going into the bend and BANBIT which was following, then checked off the heels of JACKS FIRST and lost a little ground. FINGER POP shifted out on the bend and checked VICKI'S QUEST and they both lost ground, went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 8	Punter Of The Year Cup Ht 1 C5 - C5q - 520 Heat 1	BUGSY BANGLES and OSCAR TUIVASA bumped together for some distance on the first bend , again in the back straight and again going into the final bend and as a result, they lost several lengths and finished in the last two places. BUGSY BANGLES was referred to the Vet for assessment , was found to have sustained minor grazes but was not required to stand down.
Race 9	Punter Of The Year Cup Ht 2 C5 - C5q - 520 Heat 2	BELLA DIOR was checked entering the back straight losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 10	Punter Of The Year Cup Ht 3 C5 - C5q - 520 Heat 3	SPEED LEGEND was the slowest to begin losing a length was near the rear going into the first bend. He then made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. MICK MANIA and KIKI RHODE bumped together and lost ground going into the first bend and they stayed back and finished in the last two places.
Race 11	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C4 - C4 - 520	DIVA RHODE was checked going into the first bend and shuffled back to the rear and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 12	Morrie Gibbons Signs C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	COSMIC FURY was slow to begin losing a length. CALAMITY FREE shifted in going into the bend and checked GURU GOOSE who lost four lengths and all chance of a first four placing.
