Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer J McINERNEY was warned and reminded of his obligations in respect to kennelling by the required time. Trainer I FENSOM was fined $100.00 under Rule 69.11 in accordance with the minor infringement table when COWBOY FOXY was presented to race 1.8kg lighter than the last recorded race weight. Trainer M GRANT was fined $100.00 in accordance with the minor infringement table for presenting CAWBOURNE RANGA 1.6.kg lighter than the last recorded race weight. OPAWA STRETCH (J&D Fahey) which was stood down at Southland on 25 June was presented to the Vet under Rule 82.5 and found to be free of injury. Accordingly that stand down is rescinded.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	STARBURST BENNY (1) was slow to begin. Racing into the first bend YAPSTER JEWEL (5) and HEAR HARE HERE (6) were tightened and checked when squeezed between MUSTANG MAGZ (4) which shifted out from the rail and WUNYA (8) which was shifting down towards the rail. YAPSTER JEWEL (5) was further hampered turning for home when racing tight between WUNYA (8) and ALL AGAINST ME (7).
Race 2	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C0 - 295	Shortly after the start FLIRT WITH ME (2) CAWBOURNE POLLY (4) and STARBURST PAUL (6) came together and jostled for some distance. Rounding the turn HOT TEA (8) checked across the heels of STARBURST PAUL (6).
Race 3	David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C1 - 295	THIRSTY KELVAN (7) was slow to begin. THIRSTY KELVAN (7) shifted abruptly inwards towards the rail shortly after the start and made firm contact with WORD FOR WORD (2) with both runners being unbalanced momentarily. DYNA BROWNLOW (4) was tightened between runners nearing the first bend and lost momentum. THIRSTY KELVAN (7) and BILLY BRAND (9) jostled for some distance when rounding the turn for home with THIRST KELVAN (7) checking across the heels of BILLY BRAND(9) resulting in both runners losing momentum.
Race 4	Sky High Scaffolding Stakes - C0 - 520	COWBOY FOXY (5)and LACEY(7) were slow to begin . Racing past the winning post for the first time KNOW SOLUTION (6) jostled with COURT THE BELLE (8) before shifting inwards and making contact with LACEY(7) , KNOW SOLUTION(6) lost ground as a result .OPAWA ROYAL (2) retired from the event rounding the first bend and was referred to the vet for assessment . OPAWA LEANNE (4) ran wide in both straights. COWBOY FOXY(5) which tailed the field throughout was sent to the vet for assessment. Trainer I FENSOM was informed that a repeat performance from COWBOY FOXY(5) would lead to that runner being stood down for being uncompetitive.
Race 5	Garrard's Horse And Hound Dash - C1 - 295	TEAKOA (8) was very slow to begin. Racing into the first turn JET EVEN (4) lost momentum and ground when first contacted from behind from RED EYE MAX (6) and then from KNOW WISDOM (7) which shifted inwards towards the rail.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C1 - 295	Both TAIERI PLAINS (5) and RENNER'S GIFT (2) were slow to begin . RENNER'S GIFT(2) was hampered racing into the first bend when racing tight to the inside of MIGHTY MONICA(4) .RENNER'S GIFT(2) was sent to the vet for assessment. Rounding the turn HOMEBUSH LIMBO (1) was checked when contacted from behind by CAWBOURNE HURDO (3) resulting in both runners losing ground. CONALOO(8) was hampered when racing between runners rounding the final turn .
Race 7	Robbie's Bar & Bistro Stakes - C1 - 520	MOON AND SEA (5) and OPAWA CASSIDY (8) were slow to begin . BOTANY COMET (1) was hampered when outside runners shifted down towards the rail in the run to the first turn. At the end of the back straight OPAWA SIR (2) was hampered from behind by OPAWA CASSIDY (8) and lost momentum.
Race 8	Yaldhurst Hotel Dash - C1 - 295	SON OF GRACE (2) was slow away .Shortly after the start EL MAESTRO (9) made firm contact with CAWBOURNE RANGA (3) with both runners becoming unbalanced momentarily. Into the first turn RUBY'S GIRL(4) was checked and lost all chance when racing tight between OHOKA HART (1) and WHITE LEGS(6).
Race 9	Flatpack Houses Ph 03 3715005 Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA NATTY (8) was slow to begin. In the run to the first bend OPAWA SUMMER (2) was checked when contacted from behind by LINE HONOURS(1) and shifted out into the running line of BOTANY KEVIN (4) and OPAWA NATTY (8) resulting in both runners losing ground . OPAWA SUMMER(2) lost all chance in this incident.
Race 10	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes Final - C1f - 520	OPAWA ANDREA(8) was slow early. Passing the winning post on the first occasion CLEARTOWN LEROY (1) made firm contact with OUR HOPE(2) checking outwards and forcing VOREDA(7) OPAWA ANDREA and OPAWA BRO(5) over extra ground . CLEARTOWN LEROY (1) and OUR HOPE (2)lost all chance in this incident.
Race 11	Chris & Lisa Earl Sprint - C1 - 295	MAX'S LAD (9) was slow early . MULBERRY HUNTER (4) ran wide rounding the bend.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C1 - 295	KNOW LIES (4) was slow away. Shortly after the start MAKE YOUR POINT (6) shifted inwards and made contact with OHOKA SANDY (5) and NOISEY LEO (3) with all runners being unbalanced momentarily.
