Into the turn THIAGO shifted ground outwards and forced POISED BOY outwards with PEP'S POT and ELLE WAVES taken wide on the bend. On the turn POISED BOY struck the rear of ZAHRA who was turned sideways and both dogs again made contact into the straight both finishing at the rear. |
| Race 2 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457 | PUKEKO RAPTOR was slow to jump. HOMEBUSH JULIAN and JOEY'S SECRET bumped twice over the early stages. On the bend OPAWA HALLY shifted inwards resulting in HOMEBUSH JULIAN shifting ground outwards with PUKEKO RAPTOR being dictated wider on the track. |

Approaching the home straight AUTUMN SPIRIT shifted inwards forcing MIGHTY FORTUNE inwards onto SEA SPRAY DORIS which was turned sideways. |

At the point of the bend IVA CUNNING PLAN shifted ground outwards sharply onto PUKEKO EXPRESS. IVA CUNNING PLAN continued to shift outwards with a resulting check to SHEEZA FLOWER. |
| Race 5 | SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C2 - 390 | BLACK TRIGGER shifted inwards over the early stages dictating SAM'S FLYIN NORM inwards. PARKERMON ran wide rounding the bend. |
| Race 6 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C4 - 390 | MISS SWEET rolled inwards approaching the bend with FULLA TORQUE and BOTANY PRANCER being inconvenienced. OUR BEOWULF checked off the heels of ANYTIME WILL approaching the bend. |
| Race 7 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1 - 457 | As the field tightened racing into the first bend THIRSTY KELVIN struck the back of OPAWA STRETCH which lost its momentum. OPAWA STRETCH was then galloped on from behind by PUKEKO PROWLER which resulted in OPAWA STRETCH falling. OPAWA STRETCH regained its feet and completed the race. PUKEKO PROWLER and MOON AND SEA were both inconvenienced by the fallen OPAWA STRETCH. A post race veterinary examination was requested by the Stewards on OPAWA STRETCH. The stand down was rescinded on 1 July at Addington. |
