Track: Dead The track was in excellent condition at the start of the night's racing but was downgraded to slushy after Race 9 due to the persistent rain. The track still provided a safe racing surface.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Prior to the meeting a deputation of trainers and handlers walked the track with Stewards in view of the very cold conditions that were prevalent. After discussion and consultation with the Veterinary Surgeon it was unanimously agreed that the meeting continue with the situation being reviewed throughout the night.

Judicial report: Racing Integrity Unit Staff completed an investigation into a complaint of misconduct at the Christchurch GRC held on Monday 10 June 2013. After hearing from all parties Trainer Blair Shaw was issue with a severe reprimand and warned that a repetition would lead to charges being laid. Trainer J McInerney was fined $100.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 when RINGA DING weighed in 2.1 kgs above his last race weight on 30 May 2013.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	ROXY RASCAL (9) ran inwards at the start checking RINGA DING (6) and HOMEBUSH MAYHEM (5) who was in the process of angling outwards. GOTTA GO ACE (1) ran outwards in the back straight causing KNOW PRIDE (2) to be tightened. KNOW PRIDE was again checked and turned sideways into the bend losing ground. GOTTA GO ACE shifted up the track slightly on the home turn brushing with HOMEBUSH MAYHEM for a stride.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Craig White Dash - C4 - 295	FIREMAN'S ESCORT (8) dropped to the rear in the initial stages. GAZZA'S PRIDE (4) ran outwards sharply in the early stages making solid contact with FIREMAN'S ESCORT who was attempting to cross to the rail. BOTANY PRANCER (5) ran inwards in the back straight coming together with WANDY JEWEL (3). Into the bend as TRANS TASMAN (7) crossed as BUGSY BANGLES (1) angled outwards checking BOTANY PRANCER who lost ground inconveniencing WANDY JEWEL and FIREMAN'S ESCORT in behind.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295	WOT PRICE CURLY (2) ran outwards in the back straight pushing ENABLE (3) and ANOTHER BLEND (4) in the back straight. Soon after ENABLE angled outwards and checked ANOTHER BLEND who lost ground.
Race 4	Buy Sell & Exchange Sprint - C5 - 295	MARMALADE SKIES (5) ran outwards as HOMEBUSH HELEN (7) angled inwards in the early stages resulting in the favourite ZEBIDIAH (6) being checked and losing ground. PEARL'S BOY (2) ran outwards into the bend making solid contact with ETCHED IN STONE (8) with PEARL'S BOY losing ground. On the bend MARMALADE SKIES checked off the back of ZEBIDIAH and dropped out to a clear last. MARMALADE SKIES was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 5	Angler's Arm Tavern Stakes - C3 - 520	KNOW HONOUR (8) was a clear last at the jump. BANBIT (2) ran outwards and received a check in the early stages. At the end of the back straight ANOTHER COURSE (1) was tightened and lost ground.
Race 6	Garrard's Horse & Hound Sprint - C5 - 295	SAHARA RAMA (4) ran outwards into the bend checking CIRI RIOLI (7) who lost ground with ELKI (8) being slightly hampered wider out.
Race 7	Ashburton GRC Punters Contest Sunday 23 June Stakes - C3/4 - 520	TAKE NO PRISONERS (7) was last to jump. OPAWA BOMB (3) angled inwards in the early stages causing KIN NIKKI (2) to change ground to the outside. In the home straight PINDARI (4) angled outwards checking BOB'S EYE (8) when looking for racing room.
Race 8	2013 Canterbury Laurels - R/A - 520	ANOTHER JEWEL (7) was the slowest from the traps. OPAWA MARG (2) and TEPIRITA DESIRE (3) came together in the early rush. OPAWA MARG then checked outwards off the back of JUST JORDANA (5) into the first bend and ran outwards severely hampering JINJA JAM (8) who lost a large slice of ground. JINJA JAM did remarkably well to get up for fourth.
Race 9	Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C5 - 295	MORE BETTER (7) was a shade slow to jump. Into the bend LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE (8) ran inwards causing severe tightening to KNOW TRUST (6), DIXIE LEE (5), PRETTY GOOD (4) and PICK THE TIP (3). Of this quartet the favourite DIXIE LEE and KNOW TRUST dropped out losing their chances. DIXIE LEE was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 10	2013 Garden City Classic - R/A - 520	Prior to this race the track was downgraded to slushy. STOLEN MONEY (6) was the last to jump. KNOW ATTEMPT (2) angled outwards into the first bend pushing an improving STOLEN MONEY wider on the track. STOLEN MONEY was again checked on the home turn dropping to a rearward position.
Race 11	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C5 - 520	GEOFF THE REF (8) was last to jump. OPAWA RAPID (4) was checked in the early stages when racing to the outside of RUSSELL HART (3). GORDON BALE (6) angled inwards in the run to the first bend causing tightening to ULTIMATE DREAM (5) and RUSSELL HART. RUSSELL HART then ran outwards into the bend pushing GEOFF THE REF over extra ground.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	SOSAN (8) ran inwards in the run to the bend checking ADINI (5) and LIFES A LAUGH (4). ADINI (5) then ran outwards badly checking KNOW JEALOUSY (6) and RODRIGUEZ (7) who both lost ground and their chances.
