Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly apart from some alterations to start times due to disruptions at the Te Aroha gallops.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: There were a number of scratchings as a result of the atrocious weather in the South Island disrupting meetings and causing abandonments and transfers of some race days and there were no penalties imposed as a result of those scratchings. BOSTON CHANEL, DUM DIDDLY DO, MAMMY BROWN and HAPPY CLAPPY all completed Satisfactory Trials which were required under Rule 81.1.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	SECONDS GOOD shifted out abruptly from the start and collided with COYOTE CAUGHT YA and lost three lengths. COYOTE CAUGHT YA was also affected but recovered well to finish in 3rd place.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	BOOT THE CASH shifted in abruptly from the start forcing INTENSE ZOOM in onto RANGER CHICK and all three lost ground. BOOT THE CASH raced a little erratically and hampered INTENSE ZOOM for some distance. The Stewards were not entirely happy with the performance of BOOT THE CASH and the dogs racing manners will be closely monitored in subsequent starts.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C0 - C0 - 520	BILLY HOLMES checked over the heels of GUCCI RUSH going into the first corner and ran wide on the bend over extra ground.
Race 4	Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 305	This race was started three minutes late due to hold ups at the Te Aroha gallops. CUTS DEEP shifted in going into the first corner and checked SNUFFALOPOGAS which lost three lengths. OPAWA JEN shifted in soon after and hampered CUTS DEEP which lost a little ground.
Race 5	Gary Ross Decorator Maiden Final C0 - C0f - 305	ALMOST GOT IT jumped on terms with the other runners but then spread itself behind losing several lengths and he finished well back. TARRYN'S PRIDE was checked going into the bend losing three lengths and he stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	CALM RITA was slow to begin losing three lengths. CALM RITA raced onto the back of UNO GREEN going into the first corner and they both lost ground. BLACK HENNESSY shifted out going into the bend and bumped with SEDGEBROOK LAD and they both lost ground.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	SUMMER TENSION was bumped soon after the start and settled back but she recovered well to win the race. INNER BEAUTY drew box 8 and was forced to race wide into the first bend over extra ground, settled at the rear and stayed back throughout.
Race 8	Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305	This race started 5 minutes late at the request of Raceday Control. RUNS LIKE AL was slow to begin losing three lengths. SUB SILENTO shifted in going to the first corner crowding RIJEKA which was checked losing three lengths and SUB SILENTO continued to shift in crowding NUTS FOR SURE which also lost three lengths and they stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 9	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	UNO ORANGE was slow to begin and settled back. MASONYX checked over the heels of SECTIONED on the bend and shifted out making contact with UNO ORANGE which was pushed very wide entering the home straight.
Race 10	Renown Bakery Wanganui C1 - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 11	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305	YEAH NAH and OPAWA GIFT were both slow to begin losing three lengths. MORNING LIGHT was handy in 2nd place going into the bend but was galloped on by NINA BE GOOD and they both lost several lengths and went back onto SISAL and YEAH NAH which also lost ground in the incident. MORNING LIGHT was sore following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	FACE THE DEMON began awkwardly and OPAWA CHARLIE was also slow to begin and they settled back. OPAWA CHARLIE checked over the heels of JOLOKIA going into the bend and shifted out to race over extra ground but finished well for 3rd place.
Race 13	Keenan Concrete Wanganui C1 - C1 - 520	HAIR HE IS shifted in from the start crowding runners drawn further in with OPAWA MIATA and IMAGINATION the most affected and they stayed back throughout the race.
Race 14	Box 9 Catering Wanganui C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	SYDILICIOUS and REGINA HAKA were slow to begin and settled back. BUMPA STICKER began awkwardly and lost ground and he then wanted to race away from the rail and shifted out across the heels of HOMEBUSH ALEX going into the bend. BUMPA STICKER made contact with JETSUN JULES in the incident and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 15	Mid Winter Christmas @ The Races 5th July C2 Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	JUDGE TO EXCEL made contact with the rail on the first corner and he was referred to the Vet for assessment. SCOTT NO MONEY was galloped on and checked from behind by JIMMY JURANTE on the first corner and JIMMY JURANTE then shifted out making contact with FLYING BLAKE which fell. FLYING BLAKE was quickly on his feet and finished on the lure but was also referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 16	Punter Of The Year Competition 19th July C2 Ht3 - C2q - 305 Heat 3	The favourite STUNT DOUBLE checked off the back of FURIOUS RESPONSE going into the bend and lost a little ground. She then bumped with HOMEBUSH ROSEBUD on the bend losing a little momentum.
