Track: Good Considering the torrential rain that has fallen in Canterbury this week the track was presented in wonderful order.

Judicial report: Trainers D Stapleton and K Bonnett were fined $100.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 when JOEY'S SECRET was presented 1.6 kgs above her last race weight on 24 May. Trainer J McInerney was fined $100.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 when GALBA JOHN was presented 2.4 kgs above his last race weight on 31 May.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	SON OF GRACE (1) and HOORAY FOR HAZEL (2) were the slowest to jump. SON OF GRACE ran outwards in the back straight pushing HOORAY FOR HAZEL outwards who collided with ARE TEE MAY (5) and ALL AGAINST ME (8). On the home turn FLIRTATION WALK (7) having run wide around the bend appeared to ease for a stride and run inwards coming together with HOMEBUSH ESME (4) on two occasions with FLIRTATION WALK losing momentum. Stewards deemed the run of FLIRTATION WALK to be unsatisfactory with this dog having to complete a satisfactory trial before resuming. Co-trainer Andy McCook advised that the dog would be trialled in blinkers. The winner HOMEBUSH ESME was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Jenny Dryland Dash - C0 - 295	WONGWAY GEORGIE (1), FANTAS FICTION (2) and JOEY'S SECRET (5) were all slow to jump. CLAREMONT DIVA (7) ran inwards in the back straight checking MILDRED LILLIAN (4) for a stride. The favourite BEADMAN (8) ran wide on the bend and into the home straight costing the dog some ground and its winning chance.
Race 3	Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C0 - 520	OPAWA JAY (1), LACEY (5) and OPAWA LAUREN (8) were the last trio on settling. LACEY angled outwards when improving into the first bend checking PAT PATTY (6) and pushing COWBOY FOXY (7) and OPAWA LAUREN wider with this trio settling at the rear. COWBOY FOXY dropped out over the concluding stages with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 4	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C0 - 295	Prior to this race the track was upgraded to Good. In a very straggly start ANOTHER ANOTHER (1), HOMEBUSH JULIAN (9), VIENNA (5) and CEC DIVINE (6) were all slow from the traps. ANOTHER ANOTHER and HOMEBUSH JULIAN came together in the back straight when racing at the rear. Into the bend VIENNA ran outwards checking the favourite BOWMAN (8) who lost ground and his chance.
Race 5	Islington Tavern Dash - C0 - 295	The favourite LA FONTAINE (1) and GO NOLA (3) both missed the start badly with PEP'S POT (6) also settling well back.
Race 6	Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C1 - 520	GYPSY HUNTER (1) was a clear last on jumping. CLARETOWN LEROY (6) headed straight for the rail in the initial stages causing tightening to MISS ISABELLA (5), OPAWA CASSIDY (4) and PADDY BAXTER (3) with this trio losing ground. CLARETOWN LEROY then received a check and lost a length as OUR HOPE (2) angled outwards with the pair making contact. Into the first bend CLARETOWN LEROY checked off the heels of MISS ISABELLA and dropped to the rear. On the home turn BOTANY PETE (8) and OUR HOPE came together with this pair losing momentum.
Race 7	The Miller Bar & Cafe Sprint - C1 - 295	WAIMAK DAVE (6) was last to leave the traps. MIGHTY MONICA (3) ran inwards in the initial stages checking ANOTHER STREET (2) who lost ground with FULLA PRIDE (1) being inconvenienced. EL MAESTRO (5) ran outwards soon after colliding with MUSTANG MAGZ (7) and GRACY RACER (8). MIGHTY MONICA received some tightening into the bend and lost ground.
Race 8	C.T.V. Dash - C1 - 295	TOTALLY CONFUSED (4) proved very difficult to box prior to the start of this event. GALBA JOHN (8) was a touch slow and settled last. TOTALLY CONFUSED ducked inwards in the early stages checking the favourite DAMARJO (3) for a stride. Into the bend TOTALLY CONFUSED angled inwards checking BILLY BRAND (2) and AYKROYD (1) with this pair losing ground. DAMARJO was slightly hampered at this stage.
Race 9	Coalgate Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295	SOME SAY (9) angled outwards in the back straight pushing RED EYE MAX (5) on to outside runners with SHEEZA FLOWER (6) being badly checked and dropping to the rear. HOMEBUSH AWESOME (7) and CAMRAY (8) were also shifted wider on the track losing ground.
Race 10	Happy Birthday Murray Wigley Stakes - C1 - 520	PSEUDONYM (8) was a clear last on jumping. OPAWA PATCH (2) ran outwards in the early stages checking JINJA JAM (5) and CHILL OUT RALPH (6) with this trio settling at the rear. HEAR HARE HERE (4) was tightened into the bend losing ground. CHILL OUT RALPH was held up for room until late in the run home.
Race 11	Little Brown Jug Stakes - C1 - 520	LINE HONOURS (2) was last to jump. NOISY LEO (1) ran outwards in the early stages causing a check to BOTANY KEVIN (4) and hampering THIRSTY KELVIN (5) for a few strides. LINE HONOURS (2) checked off the back of BOTANY KEVIN into the first bend and ran outwards pushing OPAWA ANDREA (7) and JET EVEN (8) over extra ground. BOTANY KEVIN angled outwards checking THIRSTY KELVIN for a stride on the first bend. On the home turn OPAWA ANDREA shifted down the track checking THIRSTY KELVIN who lost ground. On the home turn GEE CEE BEE shifted outwards when looking for racing room and caused a check to NOISY LEO who lost some momentum.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C1 - 295	ZIGGY WAR PAINT (7) ran inwards at the jump checking LIQUORICE WHIP (6) with this pair settling at the rear. DYNA BROWNLOW (5) was turned sideways at this stage losing momentum. General tightening into the bend caused BEE OSTEE (2) and RITE ROUND RANGE (1) to lose ground along the inside with BANK ROLLER (4) also receiving a check at this stage.
