Track: Good The track was presented in very good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and was conducted in overcast weather with only occasional showers.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: YA LAUGHIN was a late scratching from race 2 when the Trainer was unable to make contact with the Clubs point of contact for scratchings, despite reportedly making several attempts to do so.

Race 1 Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375 SNUFFALOPOGAS shifted in going to the first corner and checked BILLY HOLMES which lost three lengths. Soon after, HOT KING COLE shifted in when going to the lead and checked ALMOST GOT IT which went back hampering SNUFFALOPOGAS and ELLO ELLE and they were both forced a little wide going into the bend.
Race 2 Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375 THRILLING MIGHT shifted in from box 8 at the start and crowded inside runners for some distance and eventually checked TEKAU and SHAGA BANGA BANG and they lost several lengths and all chance. REBEL JOE and OPAWA BLACK were also hampered and lost a little ground in the incident. SHAGA BANGA BANG was classed as falling and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 3 J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 457 OPAWA STU began awkwardly losing three lengths but was quickly into stride and was mid field going into the bend. He then drifted back and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. THRILLING GRACE shifted in from the start and hampered TIME FOR WHAT, BOTANY MOLLY and MISSION DRIVE for a few strides. BOTANY MOLLY was referred to the Vet for assessment at the request of the Person in charge of the dog.
Race 4 Manawatu Raceway C1 - C1 - 375 BLACK MERCEDES shifted in going into the bend and checked WORKING WAIKATO which went went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 5 Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 457 JAG YOU ARE drifted to the rear soon after the start and stayed back to finish several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. QUEEN ROWDY shifted in going to the first corner and checked CRUSHED MONKEY which made brushing contact with the rail and lost four lengths and all chance.
Race 6 Marton Dash C2 - C2 - 375 RAVEON shifted out to race wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 7 Feilding Stakes C2 - C2 - 457 CHELSEA'S BEAUTY shifted in from the start and checked THAT'S KING and THRILLING DEAL and they settled well back. THRILLING DEAL was held up for several strides behind THAT'S KING on the bend.
Race 8 www.racingdogs.co.nz C3 - C3 - 375 MISS FOLEY was very slow to begin losing several lengths and she tailed the field throughout the race.
Race 9 Shannon Stakes C4 - C4 - 375 CHEMICALLY FREE shifted out in the run to the first corner and caused checks to SHANGHAI SAM, ANOTHER RAEWYN, EVER SO HOPEFUL and MIRAGE and they all lost ground with SHANGHAI SAM the most affected and he went back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 10 Foxton Stakes C5 - C4/5 - 457 NECTER was handy going to the first turn but was checked, went back to near last and then raced very wide on the bend and into the straight over extra ground. SECRET SPRITE shared the lead on the bend but was checked from behind by FINN MCMISSILE and drifted back through the field and finished in last place.
Race 11 Cloverlea Dash C4 - C4 - 375 STARLA was found to be In season when removed from the kennels to race and was declared a late scratching. SEE TO BELIEVE was slow to begin losing two lengths but he recovered well to finish in 2nd place. COSMIC FURY was bumped from the inside going into the bend and went back to the rear. He then made up ground well to finish in 3rd place.
Race 12 Pension Day Clarkie C5 - C5 - 375 CALL ME RALPH and BIGTIME JET were a little slow to begin losing a llength. DADDY LOWE was awkwardly placed between WEE DIGER and ATE POWER for some distance on the bend and they eventually bumped together entering the home straight with DADDY LOWE suffering the most and he went back to finish in last place.
Race 13 Ashurst Dash C5 - C5 - 375 TILT YOUR GLASS and JACK'S FIRST drifted to the rear in the early stages and raced together several lengths behind the other runners from there. TILT YOUR GLASS and DRYSDALE raced wide over extra ground on the bend and into the straight.
