Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly but the Stewards again had concerns regarding the amount of water being applied to the track, particularly in the later part of the programme and this matter will be addressed with the Club Management.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C3 Heat 1 - C3q - 305 Heat 1	JUST A BOY began awkwardly losing ground but was quickly into stride and was handy going into the bend. He then checked over the heels of MR BIG STUFF and raced wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in 3rd place. HOMEBUSH HELL'S lost ground at the start when tightened between GEORGE BAXTER and HOMEBUSH BUFFY who both shifted ground in their initial strides from the boxes.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C3 Heat 2 - C3q - 305 Heat 2	BUT IT'S GREAT shifted in from the start and hampered ANOTHER LADY and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY for a couple of strides. ANOTHER LADY shifted in going into the bend and checked HOMEBUSH BRITNEY which lost two lengths. MR. MAJESTIC raced wide on the bend losing ground.
Race 3	NZ Breeders Stakes Heats (Group 1) Heat 1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	OPAWA CASPER was checked and turned sideways going into the first bend and he then shifted out severely checking ANOTHER FANTASY and THRILLING CHARLY with all three dogs losing several lengths and all chance of a first four placing.
Race 4	NZ Breeders Stakes Heats (Group 1) Heat 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	OSTAPCHUK shifted in going into the back straight and checked JETSUN FLAME which went back and out hampering ANOTHER JEWEL and they both lost three lengths. JETSUN FLAME shifted in on the final bend hampering BABY JAMES which went back onto ANOTHER JEWEL and they lost three lengths and stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 5	NZ Breeders Stakes Heats (Group 1) Heat 3 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 3	BUMPA STICKER was tightened between KIWI GIRL and HOMEBUSH CHOPPER in the run to the first corner and BUMPA STICKER went back and out forcing NEWTON WILLOW onto KIWI RANGER and they both lost ground. Soon after, KIWI GIRL checked over the heels of HOMEBUSH CHOPPER and shifted out forcing OPAWA WEBBY and MATILDA'S BABE wide going into the first bend.
Race 6	NZ Breeders Stakes Heats (Group 1) Heat 4 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 4	RED CRYSTAL shifted in going into the back straight and checked BONE NERD which went back and out checking HEY YOU and OPAWA SWEDE and all three lost ground. OPAWA SWEDE recovered the best of the three and made up ground well for 2nd placing.
Race 7	NZ Breeders Stakes Heats (Group 1) Heat 5 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 5	BACKYARD BULLY checked off the heels of OPAWA WALLY going into the first bend and shifted out forcing THRILLING LOGIC to also race wide. THRILLING LOGIC made up ground well to finish in 3rd place but BACKYARD BULLY stayed back to finish with the rear group.
Race 8	NZ Breeders Stakes Heats (Group 1) Heat 6 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 6	KNOW ATTEMPT was slow to begin and settled back. He then bumped with JAY CEE HURT going to the first corner and JAY CEE HURT then shifted in and bumped with NOT A KNOW and they lost momentum. OLYMPIC MEDAL was awkwardly placed between NOT A KNOW and JAY CEE HURT going into the back straight and lost three lengths. FERGIE'S BELLE dropped back going into the final bend and checked OLYMPIC MEDAL and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	HOMEBUSH CRAIG and EMMA MARIE were both slow to begin losing two lengths. CAWBOURNE PLUNGE shifted in going into the bend and checked CIAO FOR NOW which lost three lengths and he finished in 2nd last place.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	ASHER and THRILLING AVA came together and bumped going into the first corner when racing at the rear and they lost ground, settled at the rear and stayed back for the remainder of the race.
Race 11	Mickey's Super Liquor C5 - C5 - 305	HOMEBUSH LIGNITE was crowded from the outside going into the bend and he went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	CHEETAH WOODS, which was having his first start for over a month , weighed 2.7 kilograms up in weight and the Handler in charge confirmed that this was an intentional increase. WATERBUG and JACK'S FIRST began awkwardly losing ground and settled back. CALLAHAN led into the bend but slipped behind losing a length and forced CHEETAH WOODS and ROSEMORE OSTI wide into the bend over extra ground and they finished at the rear.
