Track: Dead The racing was held in unpleasant weather on a slushy track but the meeting proceeded smoothly with no interruptions to the programme.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	COYOTE CAUGHT YA began awkwardly losing three lengths but he made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. JUDY IN DISGUISE shifted in on the bend and checked DIXIE QUEEN which then ran wide into the straight losing ground and finished well back.
Race 2	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	OPAWA MIATA and FLYING BLAKE bumped together soon after the start and FLYING BLAKE lost three lengths. FLYING BLAKE then ran wide on the bend but kept up a strong run to win the race. OPAWA MIATA shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to AMICUS CURIAE and IMAGINATION and they went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 457	MISSION DRIVE, OKUKU SURPRISE, RICH LIST and SECRET NADIA were all checked going to the first corner and lost ground. The favourite ARMISTICE DAY was handy enough on the bend but drifted for no apparent reason losing three lengths and finished in 6th place.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway C1 - C1 - 375	REBEL JOE shifted in from box 7 at the start and caused crowding to several runners drawn further in as they reached the first corner and KUROHARA and OPAWA BLACK were the most affected and they went back to the rear and finished well back. NINA BE GOOD was checked approaching the home straight and was forced wide over extra ground.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 375	GHOST CHIPS and SWISS ALPS began very awkwardly losing four lengths. WORKING WAIKATO appeared reluctant to race against the rail going into the bend and shifted out across the heels of FASTBACK KING , was checked and went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 6	Marton Stakes C1 - C1 - 457	DARBY LANE , JAG YOU ARE and SUMMER TENSION were all slow to begin. SUMMER TENSION recovered the best of the three and finished in 2nd place. WANDY KYLE went off stride soon after the start and drifted back to finish a long last and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 7	Feilding Dash C1 - C1 - 375	YA LAUGHIN was a little slow to begin and after starting from box 8 , was forced to race wide. YA LAUGHIN then checked off the back of MIC PLAYER on the bend losing further ground and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 8	Foxton Dash C1 - C1 - 375	JOLOKIA shifted in going into the bend and checked TAPU BOY and HOMEBUSH DIAMOND which both lost several lengths, went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. JOLOKIA checked over the heels of DOUBLE TAPP entering the home straight and ran wide.
Race 9	www.racingdogs.co.nz C2 Feature - C2 - 375	KYLIE'S BELLE was handy on the bend but lost its position and went back onto THRILLING HALO and they lost three lengths. KULIE'S BELLE then made up ground and finished in 3rd place.
Race 10	Shannon Stakes C2 - C2 - 457	SHODSIE jumped on terms with the other runners but could not keep with the early pace and dropped back to race four lengths last in the early stages. However once into stride, he made up ground and finished in 4th place. THRILLING DEAL and ERIC'S SONG were checked going into the bbend losing ground back to the rear and they stayed there to the finish.
Race 11	Cloverlea Dash C2 - C2 - 375	All clear
Race 12	Ashurst Dash C3 - C3 - 375	BOUND BY PRIDE, KAZILLION and TIME FRAUD were all checked going to the first corner with TIME FRAUD being the most affected and she lost five lengths and all chance.
