Track: Heavy The meeting was held in abysmal conditions but the track was still able to be groomed and remained in a safe state despite being very slushy.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Handler Andy McCook was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 in that he wasn't present to catch GYPSY HUNTER at the conclusion of Race 10 as arranged.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	CAMRAY (4) and MR. BLOBBY (5) were last from the traps. When improving into the bend MR. BLOBBY checked outwards off the back of SYRIP'S GIRL and lost momentum pushing FULLA PRIDE (7) and ANOTHER PIZZA (8) wider on the track.
Race 2	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C0 - 295	MULBERRY MACRO (2) was very hard to box in this event with this dog being placed on the box first list for his immediate engagements. MULBERRY MACRO and PEP'S POT (4) were last to jump. MULBERRY MACRO checked outwards off TEEVEE GIDGET (5) into the bend and pushed SLINGO (3), PEP'S POT and NOPEE (7) very wide with this trio losing their chances. On the home turn KNOW PITY (6) angled inwards checking TEEVEE GIDGET who lost a couple of lengths. Following the race TEEVEE GIDGET was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 3	Yella Mustard At Stud Dash - C0 - 295	GO PATCH (7) was very slow to clear the boxes with CAR BOOTIE (6) also settling well back. OPAWA JEAN (2) and SON OF GRACE (4) came together for a stride on the home turn when vying for the lead.
Race 4	Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C0 - 520	WAGON WHEEL (4) was last to jump. OPAWA JAKE (5) and WAGON WHEEL came together in the initial stages. OPAWA LEANNE (2) ran inwards in the run to the first bend badly checking CASINO BLACK (1) and then making heavy contact with the rail . This bitch then ran very wide into the back straight losing ground. On the home turn WAGON WHEEL and CASINO BLACK came together for a stride.
Race 5	Hampden Tavern Dash - C1 - 295	WHITE LEGS (4) was last from the traps. OHOKA HART (7) ran inwards in the early stages checking JET TO MARS (6) who lost ground. OHOKA HART continued his quest for the rail checking HOMEBUSH DAPHNE (5) into the bend. In behind these runners MUM'S PRODIGY (2) angled outwards with JET TO MARS again the recipient of a check. BELFAST SUZY (3) checked outwards off TWISTER AL (1) on the home turn losing momentum.
Race 6	racingdogs.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	LINE HONOURS (7) was last to jump. OPAWA BRO (6) ran inwards into the bend as PSEUDONYM (1) angled outwards causing tightening to QUE TEE PIX (4), MULBERRY BROOK (3) and HEAR HARE HERE (2) with this trio dropping to the rear. PSEUDONYM and LINE HONOURS both raced wide around the first bend. On the home turn PSEUDONYM was badly dragged down by OPAWA BRO with both runners losing momentum and HEAR HARE HERE and QUE TEE PIX being inconvenienced in behind.
Race 7	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	TAIERI PLAINS (6) weighed in 2.7kgs above his last race weight on 5 April with co-trainer Ray Casey advising that this was the intention. KNOW LIES (4) was last from the traps. WORD FOR WORD (3) ran outwards in the back straight hampering KNOW LIES and TAIERI PLAINS for a few strides. KNOW LIES and TAIERI PLAINS continued to jostle into the bend when racing at the rear. On the home turn WORD FOR WORD again shifted up the track pushing HOMEBUSH LIMBO (5) over extra ground.
Race 8	Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C1 - 520	KNOW FUTURE (4) and OUR HOPE (8) were the last to jump. WYNDHAM (10) ran inwards in the early stages coming together with JINJA JAM (5). Soon after BARNABY BALE (3) angled outwards contacting WYNDHAM. BARNABY BALE then faltered and pulled up in the back straight. Following the race BARNABY BALE and WYNDHAM were both referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 9	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C1 - 295	AVEC LAMOUR (6) angled inwards in the early stages checking ANOTHER STREET (4). On the home turn BE PREPARED (1) checked outwards off the back of ANOTHER STREET and lost ground.
Race 10	Flair Stakes - C1 - 520	KNOW TASTE (5) and GEE CEE BEE (10) were the slowest in the initial stages. GYPSY HUNTER (1) angled outwards into the first bend placing SERAPHINE JEWEL (3) and OPAWA SIR (4) in restricted room for a few strides.
Race 11	Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH ESME (10) was last to jump. SADDLEBACK PATCH (7) ran inwards checking CAWBOURNE CLOCK (6) in the early stages.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C1 - 295	FLIRTATION WALK (3) ran outwards soon after dispatch checking RITE ROUND RANGE (4), TEPIRITA CHARGER (5), HOORAY FOR HAZEL (6) and HOMEBUSH AWESOME (8) who all lost ground. FLIRTATION WALK then checked outwards on the home turn losing a length.
