Judicial report: OPAWA TOKEN (Lane & Wales) completed a Satisfactory Trial in terms of Rule 81. Trainers J Lane and R Wales were fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 when CHILL OUT RALPH failed to have a catcher in attendance after the running of Race 9. The Lane/Wales combination and G Cleeve were both questioned in regards to being late to retrieve their dogs for Race 10. Their explanations were accepted in this case but both were reminded of their obligations.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	MULBERRY BROOK (1) and BLACK TANK (5) were last to jump. MULBERRY BROOK ran outwards into the bend coming together with OPAWA RUFUS (7) and pushing BLACK TANK and BIZARRO (6) wider on the track.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Malcolm Grant Sprint - C0 - 295	DUCO TO DUCO (5) and GO NOLA (7) were somewhat dilatory from the traps. WITCH WOOD ROSE (2) angled outwards in the initial stages checking MULBERRY MACRO (3) for a stride with the favourite SON OF GRACE (4) also being inconvenienced. SON OF GRACE was tightened into the bend and lost some momentum.
Race 3	Bill's Bar & Bistro Sprint - C1 - 295	JIMMY CEE (1), RED EYE MAX (3), GOTTA GO ACE (4) and GALBA JOHN (6) formed the last quartet at the jump. COALPIT MICK (5) angled outwards into the bend checking WHITE LEGS (7) who lost ground. JIMMY CEE checked outwards off the back of WHITE LEGS on the bend and lost a length.
Race 4	Flair Dash - C0 - 295	PANCHO PISTOLES (2) was extremely slow with GROOVY LEO (8) also settling well back. MUSTANG MAGZ (5) was tightened and then checked in the back straight dropping to the rear.
Race 5	Coalgate Tavern Maiden Stakes Final - C0f - 520	OPAWA ROYAL (7) was slow to jump. Into the first bend PAW NO MORE (2) was badly dragged down by ROB'S MATE (4) and faltered not completing the race. PAW NO MORE was referred to the vet for assessment. At the end of the back straight OPAWA ROYAL was checked from behind by WAGON WHEEL (3) with OPAWA ROYAL losing momentum.
Race 6	racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 295	WINSOME EXTRA (8) was very slow from the traps with KIOWA SUE (3) and TEAM DREAM (5) also settling well back. KIOWA SUE ran wide on the bend and lost more ground.
Race 7	The Miller Bar & Cafe Stakes - C0 - 520	ONE DREAM (9) was a clear last on jumping. GIRL PRIDE (8) ran inwards checking POISED BOY (6) in the early stages. POISED BOY then angled inwards into the first bend inconveniencing ONE DREAM. On that bend ONE DREAM ran outwards marring the running of POISED BOY with this pair continuing to jostle for some distance and losing their chances. ONE DREAM was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1.a. and must complete a satisfactory trial before resuming. BOTANY SEATON (10) ran outwards on the first bend checking GIRL PRIDE with this pair losing ground.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C2 - 295	VITALIZE (4) and OPAWA LEGS (5) were the last pair to jump. PARKERMON (1) was tightened into the bend and lost ground with VITALIZE hampered in behind.
Race 9	David Emerson Consultancy Stakes - C1 - 520	NITRO EXPRESS (2) was last to jump. CHILL OUT RALPH (5) ran inwards checking CLINTON BAXTER (4) in the early stages with CLINTON BAXTER dropping to the rear. GEE CEE BEE (3) angled outwards into the first bend pushing NITRO EXPRESS over extra ground.
Race 10	Addington Events Centre Dash - C1 - 295	GO BRIDIE (7) was a clear last at the jump. PHIL WART (1) angled outwards on the home turn pushing HOMEBUSH LIMBO (2), CAWBOURNE CLOCK (3) and UNO FLASH (5) wider on the track. In behind these runners an improving GO BRIDIE angled outwards off the back of PHIL WART to obtain racing room. In the home straight GO BRIDIE again ran outwards when short of room checking CAWBOURNE CLOCK for a stride.
Race 11	Little Brown Jug Dash - C2 - 295	WINSTON WHO (4) was last from the traps. CLAREMONT PIZZAZ (2) angled outwards into the bend severely checking GO DOLPHIN POWER (3) who dropped to the rear.
Race 12	Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C1 - 520	PIED WARRIOR (4), BIG TOKEN (7) and OPAWA ANDREA (10) were the last trio at the jump. JINJA POP (6) ran inwards in the early stages checking OHOKA FRENCHI (3). PIED WARRIOR faltered and dropped away into the back straight finishing a long last with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment. On the home turn OHOKA FRENCHI and CHEVY CHEVELLE (1) came together for a stride with CHEVY CHEVELLE losing momentum.
Race 13	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295	KENNY'S COMET (1) and ZIGGY WAR PAINT (2) were the last to jump. KENNY'S COMET ran outwards into the bend with ZIGGY WAR PAINT receiving a check and losing ground. On the home turn BATIATUS (6) ran inwards pushing SADDLEPACK PATCH (5) down to the rail with this runner losing ground.
Race 14	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	IONA BRIGHTSPARK (1) was last out. SWAPAN (3) angled inwards in the back straight tightening CAWBOURNE GLOW (2) and IONA BRIGHTSPARK who both lost ground. On the home turn SWAPAN checked outwards off the back of ANOTHER PIZZA (6) and lost some momentum.
Race 15	Speight's Sprint - C1 - 295	The start of this race was delayed as two ducks needed to be removed from the track. JACK'S A JEWEL (1) angled outwards in the back straight checking KNOW SKILL (2) and TWISTER AL (3). BOTANY PETE (8) angled inwards in the back straight and tightened CAWBOURNE CHIEF (7) who in turn was badly dragged down by AVEC LAMOUR (6) with this bitch falling. AVEC LAMOUR regained her paws and ran to the lure. In the home straight BOTANY PETE faltered after reaching the lead shortening stride to finish fifth with this runner being referred to the vet for assessment. TWISTER AL was also referred to the vet for assessment after this race.
