Track: Good The Stewards recieved some complaints regarding the fact that during the later part of the meeting, there was water layng on the track near the rail, particularly in the back straight and that this resulted in some runners having some difficulty maintaining traction. The Club Manager, the Curator and the Stewards discussed the matter, viewed Video of some race incidents and are confident that the concerns expressed will be rectified prior to the next meeting.

Judicial report: MR LOCHLYN was a late scratching from Race 12 when the dog was not presented after gaining a start from the reserves and was stood down for 28 days under Rule 64.5.
After hearing from the Raceday Secretary and the Trainer, the Stewards accepted that there were some mitigating circumstances involved and elected not to impose a monetary penalty on this occasion. GENIA HAKA turned in the boxes losing all chance and under Rule 72.13, is required to complete a Box Trial before its next race day start.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	HOLLY LOLLY, HOMEBUSH JULIAN and DIXIE QUEEN were slow to begin and settled back. I'M A CATCH shifted in going into the first corner and checked DIXIE QUEEN who lost two lengths. At the same time, HOMEBUSH JULIAN shifted in checking HOLLY LOLLY which lost four lengths and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	GENIA HAKA turned in the boxes losing all chance and finished a distance behind the 2nd last dog and is required to complete a box trial under Rule 72.13 before its next start. HOMEBUSH AWESOME shifted in going into the bend and checked HOMEBUSH SMOKE and HOLD UP HARRY who both lost ground and finished well back. BOOT THE CASH was referred to the Vet for assessment due to being lame folllowing the race.
Race 3	J P Print Petone C0 - C0 - 520	JIMMY BUFFETT and BOTANY KEVIN were slow to begin and settled back. BOTANY SEATON and BIGTIME TIP collided going into the first bend and lost ground with BOTANY SEATON going back onto JIMMY BUFFETT with both dogs losing several lengths and they finished at the rear. BLACK HENNESSY led for most of the race but tired badly over the final few strides and finished in 3rd place.
Race 4	Guthrie Bowron C0 Final - C0f - 305	QUEEN COBRA and QUEEN ROWDY shifted ground soon after the start and this resulted in FLYING BLAKE who was drawn between being hampered and settling back. BOTANY PETE and FLYING BLAKE bumped together going to the first corner , became unbalanced for a couple of strides and both lost a little ground.
Race 5	Gary Ross Decorator C0 - C0 - 305	FANTASTIC ANNA was slow to begin and settled back. SECTIONED and HOMEBUSH DIAMOND bumped together going to the first corner losing a little momentum. FANTASTIC ANNA clipped the heels of NOPEE going to the first corner and NOPEE went off stride and drifted back to finish several lengths last. She was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution. ALLEGRO ROXS led until the home turn but was involved in contact with SECTIONED and WHERE'S RICAN at that point and lost what appeared to be a winning chance and finished in 3rd place.
Race 6	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 Ht1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1	CLINTON BAXTER and THAT'S KING were slow to begin and settled back. UNO GREEN was checked on the first bend and went back onto THAT'S KING with both losing ground and they stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish at the rear. The favourite FIERCE STAR , who had not started for three weeks, led in the early and middle stages but began to tire on the final bend and finished in 4th place and will clearly benefit from the race.
Race 7	Palamountains Nutrition C1 Ht2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2	BOTANY MOLLY began awkwardly losing ground and settled at the rear. WHAT'S UP GEE shifted in going into the first bend and checked VERY CHILLY who lost several lengths
Race 8	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	LAUGH LIKE SANTA was slow to begin losing three lengths. FLAYOSC checked off the heels of SARAH'S COOL on the bend, went back and was galloped on by LAUGH LIKE SANTA and fell. LAUGH LIKE SANTA, SUB SILENTO and HOMEBUSH SUE were all affected in the incident, lost several lengths and finished in the rear group.. SARAH'S COOL shifted out on the home turn and collided with MATILDA'S BEST and they both lost momentum. FLAYOSC was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 305	CAWBOURNE TINA, HIGH FLY HUNTER and TECHNO TACHO were all checked losing four lengths going into the bend and they stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish in the last three places.
Race 10	Broad Roofing C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	WAIMAK DAVE was slow to begin losing three lengths. TAWNY PORT was inconvenienced soon after the start when racing adjacent to the rail where the track was slippery with surface water.. ERUZA and KEZZ came together going into the bend and soon after, KEZZ galloped on the back of ERUZA and they both lost ground . A few strides further on WAIMAK DAVE collided with ERUZA and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group. HOMEBUSH BUFFY was handy going to the first turn but then appeared to be having difficulty maintaining its place, possibly due to the track being slippery and she drifted back to eventually finish in last place.
Race 11	Wanganui Security C2 Ht 2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	All clear.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C1 D - C1d - 645	DARBY LANE was slow to begin losing two lengths. SAHARA STORM appeared to lose its footing briefly when entering the home straight with over a circuit to run and she shifted in sharply losing momentum.
