Weather: OvercastTrack: Good Two broken wires in the back straight rail were discovered after the running of Race 10 with the meeting put back by one race.

Into the bend CAWBOURNE BEAU (4) angled outwards checking OPAWA SUMMER (5), OPAWA ROYAL and MEGA GIRL (8) who all lost ground. PHIL WART (3) ran wide into the bend and lost ground. QUE TEE PIX (2) checked off the back of POISED BOY (7) on the home turn losing some momentum. |
| Race 2 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | CAWBOURNE RANGA (8) was last to jump. OUT BY FIVE (5) angled outwards soon after the jump tightening OPAWA RUFUS (6) and GRANT A WISH (7). OPAWA RUFUS then ran inwards severely checking OUT BY FIVE and STAR GUN (3) with these runners losing considerable ground. BOTANY MOLLY (4) was sandwiched between runners on the bend and lost ground. OUT BY FIVE was referred to the vet for assessment. |
| Race 3 | ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C1 - 390 | UNO FLASH (2) angled outwards checking TEPIRITA DESIRE (3) for a stride in the initial stages. WYNDHAM (6) ran inwards in the back straight checking BLACK TANK (5) who then angled outwards checking NEW INGILLTAB (7) who lost ground. TEPIRITA DESIRE and WYNDHAM came together into the bend. On the home turn OPAWA LEGS (8) shifted inwards marginally causing CAWBOURNE CHIEF (4) to lose momentum. |

| Race 5 | SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C3 - 390 | WAIMAK DAVE (5) was a clear last on jumping. THRILLING CLOVER (7) and MARMALADE SKIES (6) angled inwards placing RAY DOSH (4) in restricted room in the back straight. Into the bend THRILLING CLOVER was badly dragged down by RAY DOSH with both runners having their chances extinguished. |
| Race 6 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C2 - 390 | The favourite GO DOLPHIN POWER (3) was last to jump with WHERE'S JOHN CEE (7) and MIGHTY FORTUNE (8) also settling well back. BIGTIME ALLGO (4) angled outwards into the bend pushing CALM SPIRIT (5) and MIGHTY FORTUNE over extra ground. At the conclusion of the race BIGTIME ALLGO collapsed and died. An autopsy will be carried out on the dog with results to be conveyed to Stewards. |
| Race 7 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C2/3 - 457 | DITTMAN (7) was last to jump. ANOTHER STAR (4) ran outwards checking CHARLIE'S CHOICE (6) in the early stages. Into the bend an improving CHARLIE'S CHOICE ran inwards causing severe tightening to ANOTHER STAR, DYNA DIEGO (2) and CAWBOURNE PHILIP (3) with DITTMAN also inconvenienced. |
| Race 8 | BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C4 - 390 | Authorisation of payment was held up until Stewards viewed the start of the race after it appeared that the boxes opened fractionally before the lure reached the starting point. After viewing all replays Stewards were satisfied that no dog was inconvenienced and payment was authorised. CAWBOURNE HEIDI (5) was badly checked on a number of occasions in the back straight when racing between MISS SWEET (4) and STARBURST HANNAH (6) with CAWBOURNE HEIDI dropping to the rear. CAWBOURNE HEIDI was referred to the vet for assessment. |

| Race 10 | SGRC Maiden Distance - SPECAd - 630 | OPAWA BRO (2) was tightened into the first bend and lost ground. Wider out NOGGIN (6) and WAGON WHEEL (8) both ran wide into that bend and lost ground. |
| Race 11 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS - C5 - 457 | The meeting was put back one race due to the discovery of two broken wires on the rail in the back straight. MAMAJA (6) and RODRIGUEZ (7) were the slowest into stride. Into the bend CIRI RIOLI (8) angled inwards coming together with the favourite RAW ENERGY (1) for a stride with NO UNDIES SUNDY (5), WOT PRICE CURLY (4) and MAMAJA all receiving checks in behind. WOT PRICE CURLY hit the rail in this incident and was referred to the vet for assessment. |
| Race 12 | JUSTRACING.COM.AU - C5 - 390 | DRYSDALE (7) and HOMEBUSH SARGE (8) were last to jump. TRICKY HARRY (1), ZEBIDIAH (2) and HEZA SENSATION (3) were all tightened and came together into the bend losing ground. |
