Race 1 | Trophy Plus Series Final - C0f - 318 | There was a 2 minute delay to the start of this race at request of TAB. ON THE HOUSE (3) and THIS TIME PEDRO (8) were slow to leave the boxes. Entering the first bend CAWBOURNE KIRSTY(7) shifted in causing tightening to SKYHIGH LEVI (6) who shifted in making contact with ON THE HOUSE with SKYHIGH LEVI being checked. As a result of this incident CAWBOURNE KIRSTY was unbalanced shifting out hampering THIS TIME PEDRO who was nearly brought down losing his chance and ON THE HOUSE was obliged to race wide for the remainder of the race. |
Race 2 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C0 - 318 | There was a one minute delay to the start of this race following the delay to the previous race. SAM BOY(8) was slow to leave the boxes. When racing into the first bend FOUND ROMAN (2) made contact with the hindquarters of SOUTH BAY DREAM (5), both these runners were momentarily unbalanced with FOUND ROMAN losing ground. Also inconvenienced in this incident were CHANCE ON ME (6), LE ROUX (7) and BRAVE PHOENIX (3) with BRAVE PHOENIX then racing wide. Rounding the bend SAM BOY shifted out making contact with FOUND ROMAN. Following the race SAM Boy was referred to the vet for assessment. |
Race 3 | Happy 80th Morrie Mosen - C2 - 318 | After leaving the boxes LOCKEY'S CALL (3) and PENO BOY (4) came together for a few strides when LACE THEM UP (6) shifted in looking to cross to the rails. With PENO BOY then making contact with the hindquarters of LACE THEM UP before shifting out hampering LINCOLN FLYER (5) and JACKSON TOWN (8) who were both taken wide losing their chances. |
Race 4 | Sel's TAB Mangere Series Final - C1f - 318 | BOSS LADY SLOY (8) was slow away. Shortly after the start BON VOGUE (6) and THRILLING EDGE (7) jostled for a few strides. When entering the first bend ASIA OSTEE (1) and TESTIFY (5) came together when both these runners shifted ground. When shifting in rounding the bend BOSS LADY SLOY became briefly unbalanced when making contact with MIC PLAYER (2) who shifted out. |
Race 5 | Manukau Sprint Series Heat 1 - C5q - 318 Heat 1 | When racing toward the first bend OPAWA SACHA (2) and HAUKO (3) came together for a few strides. When entering the first bend COSMIC PEARL (1) shifted out taking EXPLOSIVE OSTI (7) wider on the track. HARVEY NICHOLS (6) was momentarily held up entering the final straight before shifting out into clear racing room. |
Race 6 | Clendon Inn Stakes - C1 - 527 | When entering the first bend CRAFTY GRAHAM (4) shifted in making contact with BAM BAM (2) who was checked. |
Race 7 | $25,000 Pick6 Sprint - C1 - 318 | IMAGINATION (7) was slow to leave the boxes. KING'S MISTRESS (3) shifted in abruptly leaving the boxes making contact with CAWBOURNE BULLY (2) and knuckling. When racing into the first bend TIGER KAREN (5) and REDSKY (8) made brief contact. REDSKY was then taken wider when KING'S MISTRESS shifted out making heavy contact with REDSKY becoming unbalanced losing ground. |
Race 8 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Series Final - C1f - 527 | At the entrance of the back straight the leading dog got to within two metres of the lure. The Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound had been substantially inconvenienced and duly authorised payment. The lure driver Erena Korokehe was reminded of her obligations in respect to the lure distance. JETSUN DREAM (5) and DIVA RHODE (6) were tightened at the start when THRILLING MARTY (4) shifted out and ALPINADOR (7) shifted in. Entering the first bend THRILLING MARTY was checked losing ground when racing in restricted room. Also making contact were ALPINADOR and HIT BOOST (8) with this runner becoming briefly unbalanced losing momentum. Rounding the first bend GAINSFORD (1) was unbalanced when looking to improve outside the leader making contact with CLOVER APPEAL (3) who was racing to the outside of GAINSFORD. |
Race 9 | Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C4 - 318 | FAMILY'S PRIDE (1) was slow to leave the boxes. HOT LASS (4) and JETSUN PLAYBOY (9) were tightened and checked shortly after the start when runners either side shifted ground. When entering the first bend SO INSIGNIFICANT attempted to shift in making contact with and checking FAMILY'S PRIDE who shifted out hampering HOT LASS and JETSUN PLAYBOY who both ran wide on the track losing considerable ground. Following this event FAMILY'S PRIDE was referred to the vet for assessment. |
Race 10 | Plaster Board Ltd Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | SPACE RACE (3) was checked losing ground shortly after the start when runners either side shifted ground. Racing toward the first bend TUMMY KRUNCHES (9) and PEGEON APPEAL (6) came together on several occasions when TUMMY KRUNCHES attempted to shift in and again when PEGEON APPEAL shifted out with PEGEON APPEAL losing ground as a result. |
Race 11 | Manukau Sprint Series Heat 2 - C5q - 318 Heat 2 | When leaving the back straight ELLY'S GIRL (8) received a check when racing to the outside of BLACK HOMBRE (2). Entering the final bend LADAKH (9) lost ground when WINSOME BUTTER shifted in. The lure driver reported the lure was lacking its normal speed and requested it was changed prior to the last race. Stewards withheld payment until it had been determined that no dog had been substantially inconvenienced by the positioning of the lure. |
Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C3 - 318 | FLYING FABIO (1) was slow to leave the boxes. Racing toward the first bend OPAWA JOHNNY (3) shifted in making solid contact and jostling with FLYING FABIO with both runners becoming briefly unbalanced. This contact continued rounding the bend with both runners losing ground. Following this race MR MAJESTIC (8) was referred to the vet for assessment. CHARLIE'S FUND was weighed in 2.2kgs lighter than his previous race start on 10/2/13. When questioned regarding the weight drop trainer NP Green advised it was an intentional change. |
