Race 1 Awapuni Sprint C0 - C0 - 375 INNER BEAUTY jumped inwards at the start and collided with TEPIRITA JAZIL and they both lost ground and settled at the rear. TEPIRITA JAZIL was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request.
Race 2 Woodville Sprint C1 - C1 - 375 The favourite STOCK TAKER began awkwardly, lost her footing behind and lost three lengths. STOCK TAKER then had to check of the back of KEZZ going into the bend losing further ground and all chance of a first four placing. AYKROYD shifted in going to the first corner and forced DOGGED DAN into the line of LAVENDER SAL who had to check and went back to last where she stayed until the finish.
Race 3 J P Print Petone C1 - C1 - 375 General tightening going to the first corner resulted in checks to HAZZA'S GOT SWAG,MISSION DRIVE, KAPAI MAX and FASTBACK KING who all lost ground. MISSION DRIVE recovered the best of those affected and finished in 2nd place. WHERE'S CARLOS led from the start and was several lengths clear into the home straight but then eased and finished in last place. WHERE'S CARLOS was referred to the Vet for assessment and a 10 day stand down was recommended due to a pectoral muscle injury. However, WHERE'S CARLOS was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for failing to pursue the lure and is required to complete a satisfactory trial befor next racing.
Race 4 Manawatu Raceway Stakes C1 - C1 - 457 HOMEBUSH LESTAT, COVER TO COVER and TIME FOR WHAT were slow to beginlosing two lengths. HOMEBUSH LESTAT checked off the back of HOMEBUSH LAYLA going into the first corner and went back onto THRILLING CLOUD and they both lost four lengths and finished at the rear.
Race 5 Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 375 FLAYOSC began awkwardly losing three lengths but made up ground well to finish in 4th place. CAWBOURNE BURN was awkwardly placed behind UNO GREEN going into the bend and lost ground. SHAGA BANGA BANG momentarily faltered in the home straight and finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request.
Race 6 Marton Dash C2 - C2 - 375 CAWBOURNE BROOKE shifted in from the start forcing LITTLE MIDNIGHT across the heels of NEW ORDER and LITTLE MIDNIGHT had to check. NEW ORDER was checked losing ground going into the bend when runners drawn further out shifted in.
Race 7 Cloverlea Dash C3 Ht 1 - C3q - 375 Heat 1 BOUND BY PRIDE began very awkwardly losing several lengths and he tailed the field throughout. HOMEBUSH LIGNITE was checked on the bend losing two lengths.
Race 8 Feilding Dash C3 Ht2 - C3q - 375 Heat 2 DIGGIN ON YOU was slow to begin losing two lengths. DECADO checked off the back of CHELSEAS BABE on the bend and went back onto MONTY DOSH and all three lost ground. DECADO recovered the best of the three to finish in 3rd place. DIGGIN ON YOU and FIRE BOY BAXTER bumped together at the rear near the straight entrance and DIGGIN ON YOU suffered the most in the incident and finished in last place.
Race 9 www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 - C4 - 375 GEM'S CONQUEST began awkwardly losing four lengths and she was unable to make up the lost ground and finished in 2nd last place. UNO ALLEGRO was tightened between runners going into the bend , clipped heels and blundered losing several lengths and finished in last place.
Race 10 Shannon Sprint C5 - C5 - 375 CALL ME RALPH galloped on the back of RAMRADA going into the bend and they both lost several lengths and tailed the field from there to the finish.
Race 11 Foxton Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457 MICK MANIA was the slowest to begin and settled back but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. UPAHUT CINDY and RED CRYSTAL jostled together for some distance on the bend and approach ing home straight and they lost ground and finished well back.
Race 12 Ashurst Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 GORDON BALE was a little slow to begin. DYNA DIEGO and GORDON BALE were checked going into the bend losing four lengths and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. SEVEN IRON opened an old toe wound and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
