In the early stages LAUDABLE ran outwards checking MISS ISABELLA while closer in OPAWA TOKEN also angled outwards coming together with RED TYPHOON. MISS ISABELLA ran inwards after her check and made contact with OPAWA TOKEN with both dogs losing ground. Into the first bend POISED BOY angled outwards checking GOLDSTAR BELLA who lost ground and dropped to the rear. |

HILTON FRIDAY continued her inwards movement into the bend and came together with AVEC LAMOUR with HILTON FRIDAY dropping to the rear. |

Soon after the start CAWBOURNE KESHA ran initially outwards bumping OHOKA FRENCHI and then inwards coming together with THREE KNOTS. Into the first bend OPAWA BRO angled outwards and was dragged down and fell causing serious checks to SECRET SARAH, OHOKA FRENCHI and CAWBOURNE KESHA who had their chances extinguished at this stage. |

The favourite KNOW PEACE ran home late for fifth and as a precaution was sent to the Vet for assessment. |

Warren Smith the co-trainer of the winner LADY IN SHADES was questioned in regards to the vastly improved performance of his bitch. He stated that she had a recent spell and had her weight reduced . She was also able to get a clear run wide which was to her liking. |
