Track: Good The track had recently been harrowed but the Curator was hampered in presenting the track to the usual high standard due to the tractor being out of action. However, while the surface was a little loose in comparison to normal, it was always completely safe and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	BLACK HENNESSY, FASTBACK KING and SHEEZA FLOWER were slow to begin losing two lengths. AMY WINEGLASS was forced to race wide throughout after starting from box 8 but she kept up a strong run to finish in 3rd place.
Race 2	Woodwille Dash C1 Ht1 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	MOTOR MOUTH was slow to begin losing a length. He then raced wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. AYKROYD shifted in going into the bend and hampered MAC TAN who lost two lengths. MAC TAN shifted out on the home turn and forced DOGGED DAN very wide on the track.
Race 3	J P Print Petone C1 Ht2 - C1q - 375 Heat 2	LOTUS shifted in from the start and hampered MERELY A DREAM. MERELY A DREAM shifted out over the heels of CAWBOURNE BROOKE going into the bend and checked BIZARRO who fell. RIJEKA, BLACK MERCEDES and SAND BUSTER were all hampered in the incident and lost ground. BIZARRO was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway Dash C1 Ht3 - C1q - 375 Heat 3	EASY SILENCE shifted in from the start and caused tightening which hampered HAZZA'S LAD, NEW ORDER and JIMMY THE BUCK who all lost a little ground. RAVEON drew box 8 and she covered extra ground but finished well for 2nd place.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 Ht4 - C1q - 375 Heat 4	HOMEBUSH LESTAT was checked soon after the start and went back to the rear. CYCLONE SIX and REBEL JOE collided going to the first corner and both lost ground.
Race 6	Cloverlea Dash C2 - C2 - 375	HELLO ELLO shifted in from the start and hampered UNO ALLEGRO and FEARSOME MCKAY and she continued to shift in causing a check to FLOATING AWAY who went back to the rear and finished in that position. FLOATING AWAY was referred to the Vet for assessment .
Race 7	Feilding Stakes C1 - C1 - 457	FLYING REBEL and SAPPHIRE PHOENIX were a little slow to begin and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. OPAWA STU shifted in going into the bend and crowded ERIC'S SONG who was checked losing three lengths but she recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 8	www.racingdogs.co.nz C3/4 - C3/4 - 375	BIGTIME JET was slow to begin losing two lengths. KRUSSIAN was awkwardly placed between runners going into the bend and dropped back onto THANKS CHARLIE and they stayed back for the remainder of the race and finished at the rear.
Race 9	Marton Dash C3 - C3 - 375	GEM'S CONQUEST checked off the heels of REAL CLEVER and THRILLING HALO going into the bend and was checked losing several lengths and all chance. GEM'S CONQUEST also made some contact with RUN JUNIOR RUN in the incident and RUN JUNIOR RUN was forced a little wide but went on to win the race.
Race 10	Shannon Sprint C5 - C5 - 375	WISE CRACK LAD galloped on the back of THRILLING HAVOC on the bend and THRILLING HAVOC went back onto MOODY MAN and they both lost four lengths and all chance in the incident.
Race 11	Foxton Stakes C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	All clear.
Race 12	Bulls Stakes C4 - C4 - 457	ANOTHER COURSE, TEPIRITA RITA and DYNA DIEGO were slow to begin and they settled at the rear. KANGO KLINK was showing signs of soreness following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
