| Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305 | OPAWA BLACK was observed to be limping on arrival at the starting boxes and was examined by the Vet and late scratched. RED MOOVA HOOVA, BIMBOO and HIT THE LIP jostled together for several strides going to the first turn and lost ground. RED MOOVA HOOVA quickly recovered and made up ground for 3rd place but soon after the jostling , BIMBOO checked over the heels of HIT THE LIP and they both lost further ground and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C3 - C3 - 305 | REAL CLEVER was crowded and checked losing three lengths going to the first corner and stayed back to finish in 6th place. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305 | SHOWTIME ADDIS was checked going to the first corner and went back to a clear last but then made up some ground to finish in 5th place. PIN UP PUPPY was crowded going into the bend and checvked off the heels of GEM'S CONQUEST and went back to last and finished in that position. OPAWA PRINCE shifted in on the home turn causing a check to PIN UP PUPPY. |
| Race 4 | J P Print Petone C3 - C3 - 305 | KINETIC NEO and ALL THE RAGE were the slowest to begin losing two lengths. KINETIC NEO made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. One of the favourites GEORGE BAXTER drew box 8 and was forced to race wide covering extra ground throughout and finished in last place. |
| Race 5 | Gary Ross Decorator C4 - C4 - 305 | CAWBOURNE STEFFI, IONA HAKA and VICKI'S QUEST raced in together in tight formation going to the first corner and they all checked losing ground with IONA HAKA the most affected and she lost four lengths. |
| Race 6 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C4 - C4 - 520 | STILL HELENA and RETALIATE FIRST were slow to begin losing two lengths. PINK SOCK shifted in going to the first turn and hampered UPAHUT CINDY and ZAMDATO who both lost ground. PINK SOCK and PEDRO'S FIRST were racing handy in 2nd and 3rd places on the final bend when it appeared that PINK SOCK shifted out slightly, they made contact and PINK SOCK was galloped on and they both lost four lengths. |
| Race 7 | Palamountains Nutrition C4 - C4 - 305 | FLYING FLYNN shifted in from the start and checked BIGTIME JET who went back to last. MOODY MAN shifted out on the bend and hampered CAWBOURNE FLICK who was inconvenienced and lost three lengths. |
| Race 8 | Keenan Concrete C3 Final - C3f - 520 | MISSING MELODY shifted in going into the first corner and caused checks to BULET TOOTH TONY, TRINITY BOY, REGAL DANCER and ASHER and they all lost some momentum with REGAL DANCER the most affected and she went back to last and stayed there to the finish of the race. |
| Race 9 | Wanganui Security C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | FALSE IMPRESSION led into the final bend but shifted in causing checks to EL JETTA who lost four lengths THRILLING AVA who lost a length but maintained her position to finish in 2nd place. EL JETTA never recovered and finished in last place. |
| Race 10 | Broad Roofing C5 Final - C5f - 305 | FLAG WAVER, ENAZUMA and FREDDIE BAXTER were the slowest to begin and lost two lengths. MIRAGE and HOWLIN WIND jostled together for some distance in the race to the first corner and MIRAGE was eventually checked back to last and stayed there to finish in that position. |
