Judicial report: Trainer B Dann was fined $200.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting two breaches of Rule 69.11 when BILLY MUGGINS and YES HE WILL weighed in 1.8 kgs and 1.7 kgs respectively above their last race weights on 10 January 2013.

Race 1 Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 YA LAUGHIN' was a clear last to jump from the inside. At the jump MIGHTY MONICA ran inwards tightening KNOW FAULT for a stride. Wider out NITRO MABEL also headed to the rail causing BOLT RAMA and PARKERMON to lose ground. On the bend ARE TEE MAY angled outwards causing HOMEBUSH CRUDEN to change ground to the inside.
Race 2 Coalgate Tavern Sprint - C0 - 295 JAMIE BAXTER weighed in 2.3 kgs over its last race weight with the connections advising that this increase was intentional. SUPREME SHELLEEN and JAMIE BAXTER were both slow to jump. CAWBOURNE ANNA was dragged down by GO TIMMEE into the bend with both runners running outwards as a result. On their outside FLYING BLAKE was forced off the track on to the grass verge and MANAPOURI fell regaining her paws to complete the race.
Race 3 Business Time At Stud Stakes - C0 - 520 SPRINGSTOWN was last to jump in a straggly start to the race. On the first bend POPSTAR ROCKET and GO ALICE both received checks and lost ground as THREE KNOTS improved to their inside. MAX'S LAD was checked from behind by GO ALICE in the back straight and lost ground with SPRINGSTOWN receiving a check as MAX'S LAD came back through the field.
Race 4 racingdogs.co.nz Dash - C0 - 295 JACK'S A JEWEL ran sharply inwards at the jump tightening KNOW FAVOURS and RINGA DING and contacting BE PREPARED. Into the bend JACK'S A JEWEL climbed on the back of HILTON FRIDAY with both dogs losing their chances. HILTON FRIDAY was referred to the Vet for assessment. RINGA DING checked off the back of JUMPIN' JOSEPH on the home turn and lost ground. BE PREPARED shifted outwards marginally on the home turn brushing THIRD TIME LUCKY for a stride with both runners losing some momentum.
Race 5 Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C0 - 295 GROOVY LEO was very slow with ANOTHER PIZZA and WAIMAK DAVE also settling well back. UNO GREEN was badly tightened into the bend and lost ground. On the home turn MULBERRY MACRO ran outwards and forced WAIMAK DAVE very wide with both runners losing their chances. GROOVY LEO appeared to clip the rail into the bend and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 6 Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1 - 520 SECRET NADIA received a check in the early stages when coming together with BONE NERD with SECRET NADIA settling at the rear. FUNNY MONEY angled inwards into the first bend pushing BONE NERD down on to KNOW REVENGE and WANDY ON IN who were both badly tightened and lost ground. SECRET NADIA again received a check at this stage and lost more ground.
Race 7 Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C1 - 295 OKUKU CRACKER ran inwards checking ARCHIE'S DOLL soon after the jump and again into the bend with ARCHIE'S DOLL dropping out to a clear last. ARCHIE'S DOLL was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 8 I Pave Concrete Dash - C1 - 295 RENNER'S GIFT was very hard to box in this event. RENNER'S GIFT was last to jump. In the early stages GITCHA EASY crossed quickly from his wide draw causing tightening to BIZARRO, PERFECT CLARITY and HOMEBUSH ACE. GITCHA EASY then came together with SADDLEBACK PATCH for a few strides before asserting his superiority.
Race 9 Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C1 - 520 SERAPHINE JEWEL angled inwards in the early stages causing tightening to STOLEN MONEY and AXEL GRINDER who lost ground. Into the first bend HEAR HARE HERE shifted outwards and dictacted the line of STOLEN MONEY and MULBERRY HUNTER who covered extra ground.
Race 10 Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C2 - 295 KNOW JEALOUSY angled outwards in the initial stages tightening ARKADEN and BIGTIME YAHOO for a few strides. Into the bend LIFE'S A LAUGH ran inwards checking ARKADEN with both of these runners losing ground. HOMEBUSH CRUZ and FULLA PRIDE were both forced wide around these runners and lost ground.
Race 11 Fanta Claws At Stud Sprint - C1 - 295 OPAWA STEVE weighed in 2.1 kgs under his last race weight 7 weeks ago with co-trainer Robin Wales informing Stewards that this was a planned decrease. WILL EXCITE was last from the boxes. OPAWA STEVE angled outwards in the early stages tightening CAMPAIGNER and AYKROYD who lost ground. Into the bend RANDY OUTSIDE checked outwards off the back of YES HE WILL and pushed WILL EXCITE very wide. AYKROYD then ran into the back of WILL EXCITE with this pair extinguishing their chances at this point.
Race 12 Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 OKOTOKS angled outwards into the bend causing checks to PHAEDRA'S FIRST and STAR GUN with these runners losing ground.
