| Race 1 | CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C0 - 390 | SAM'S FLYIN NORM was slow to jump. BLACK TANK ran inwards in the early stages pushing RED TYPHOON down on to an improving SAM'S FLYIN NORM who was checked. JUMPIN' JOSEPH and SAM'S FLYIN NORM came together on the home turn with RED TYPHOON being badly held up in behind these runners. RED TYPHOON made ground late for fourth. |
| Race 2 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | PUKEKO EXPRESS was last to jump. SALVADOR BALE tailed off into the bend and remained a distant last with this dog being referred to the Vet for assessment. MERELY A DREAM was tightened into the bend and lost ground. PUKEKO EXPRESS angled outwards into the bend placing MERELY A DREAM in an awkward position with this runner having to change ground to obtain racing room. |
| Race 3 | ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C0 - 457 | WAGON WHEEL and UNO NOSEY were the slowest to jump. WAGON WHEEL was checked into the bend as UNO SHYLA crossed to the rail. MAX'S LAD checked off the heels of SHYANNE JADE on the home turn when attempting a marginal gap along the inside. MAX'S LAD lost momentum but ran on again for second. OPAWA NIKO ran wide in the home straight making ground for fourth. |
| Race 4 | WILLY'S FLOORING LIMITED - C1 - 390 | BAKE BEAN BETTY was last to jump from the outside box. HAZZA'S LAD angled outwards into the bend tightening RUBY'S GIRL and MAGGIE DEE who dropped to the rear. OPAWA LEIGHTON and YA LAUGHIN' brushed together just short of the line with OPAWA LEIGHTON losing some momentum. |
| Race 5 | BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1 - 390 | WYNDHAM and HOMEBUSH NOS were the last to jump. Into the bend HARES HOPING crossed from her outside draw checking FOGGY STORM who in turn came into contact with JET EVEN and MOREPORT SHANNON with these two runners having their chances extinguished at this stage. |
| Race 6 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS - C1 - 457 | BONE NERD and RUMBALL AND ICE were slowest from the traps. SHADOW WOLF angled outwards on the home turn and pushed COALPIT MICK over extra ground. |
| Race 7 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C2 - 390 | ANOTHER STAR was last to jump. WANDY FEATHER ran outwards coming together for a stride with RAY DOSH in the early stages. WANDY FEATHER was then held up into the bend losing momentum. SLIGHTLY AMAZING was tightened into the bend wider out and then ran outwards checking SMASH AMY. On the home turn NO LANE and SLIGHTLY AMAZING were both inclined to cover extra ground. |
| Race 8 | SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C2/3 - 457 | PUKEKO FLYER and NEW YORK AFFAIR were the slowest to jump. OPAWA MIDNIGHT shifted outwards in the back straight hampering THREAT for a few strides and causing PUKEKO FLYER to shift wider and check NEW YORK AFFAIR. THREAT then angled down the track causing tightening to OPAWA MIDNIGHT and CAWBOURNE KIM. |
| Race 9 | SGRC $25 YARD MUZZLE STAKES - C3 - 390 | The start was delayed by two minutes at the request of Raceday Control. TURBO TUNDRA and SALUTE TO RADAR were last to jump. LIFE WITH DEXTER was checked and lost ground along the rail as CAWBOURNE SPEAR crossed him into the bend with an improving TURBO TUNDRA also receiving a check in behind them. On the bend OUT BY FIVE and THRILLING SADIE were both tightened when racing in restricted quarters losing ground with SALUTE TO RADAR having to scout wide to avoid these runners. |
| Race 10 | 100% SELECTRIX - C4 - 390 | The start of this race was delayed by one minute due to the late running of the previous race. DECADO was a shade slow from the outside. Into the bend DYNA DIEGO received a slight check and lost a length. Following an incident at the lure TIE MY TIE was referred to the Vet for assessment. |
| Race 11 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C5 - 457 | ATTIRE was last to jump. WOT PRICE CURLY angled inwards into the bend causing SAM I AM to be dragged down for a stride and checking KING OF CLUBS and ATTIRE who lost ground. In behind these runners DYNA GROLL was badly inconvenienced in this incident. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C5 - 390 | This race was delayed by three minutes due to the Veterinary Surgeon being needed to give attention to a dog and being unable to complete strapping. OSCAR TUIVASA was last to jump from the outside. The favourite ROSCA was tightened along the rail into the bend and lost ground. He ran on well for third when clear. SOSAN angled outwards into the bend and pushed JUMPIN' JULIA and CAWBOURNE REEAH over extra ground. |
