| Race 2 | Happy 80th Birthday Alby Jopson Stakes - C0 - 520 | MULBERRY HUNTER ran inwards in the early stages causing tightening to MAX'S LAD, POISED BOY and CASINO BLACK who all lost ground. MULBERRY HUNTER then ran wide into the first bend and continued to cover extra ground throughout the event. |
| Race 3 | Yaldhurst Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520 | NITRO EXPRESS was a clear last on jumping. WANDY ON IN ran inwards coming together with OPAWA PATCH on two occasions in the early stages with the second occasion causing OPAWA PATCH to be badly checked and drop to the rear. WANDY ON IN came together with NITRO EXPRESS on the first bend for a stride. OPAWA PATCH was sent to the Vet for assessment. |
| Race 4 | Flair Dash - C0 - 295 | The favourite CAWBOURNE GLOW and WINSOME EXTRA were the slowest from the traps. CAWBOURNE GLOW was then held up into the bend when attempting to improve losing momentum. Wider out ALL FOR ONE received a slight check off INNER BEAUTY with GEE CEE BEE being hampered for a stride. |
| Race 5 | I Pave Concrete Maiden Stakes Final - C0f - 520 | OPAWA CARLOS was a clear last at the jump. TEPIRITA RUBY was checked from behind into the first bend and lost momentum. On the home turn TEPIRITA RUBY ran inwards and came together with CELESTRIAL MAGIC on two occasions. Stewards viewed the video with the trainer of TEPIRITA RUBY Blair Shaw especially in relation to whether TEPIRITA RUBY had marred CELESTRIAL MAGIC on the home turn when these dogs had come together. The video could not confirm that muzzle contact had been made but the performance was considered to be unsatisfactory with TEPIRITA RUBY being ordered to complete a Satisfactory Trial before next racing. |
| Race 6 | Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C0 - 295 | PANCHO PISTOLES was slowest to jump from the inside. LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE ran inwards on the bend checking WAIMAK DAVE who lost ground. Soon after WAIMAK DAVE and HOMEBUSH LIMBO came together. |

PARKERMON ran inwards in the early stages causing tightening to PICK THE TIP, OUR HOPE and WHAT A DUMP. In the home straight NITRO MABEL shifted outwards slightly brushing together with PARKERMON for a stride. |
| Race 9 | Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C1 - 520 | SPICY BLING weighed in 2.7 kgs under his Austalian racing weight with co-trainer Craig Roberts advising that a weight decrease had been planned for the dog's New Zealand debut. CHILL OUT RALPH and LINE HONOURS were last to jump. Into the first bend ANOTHER STAR ran inwards checking OPAWA SIR with these two runners losing ground. SPICY BLING was forced to run wide to avoid these runners and in doing so pushed LINE HONOURS over extra ground. |
| Race 10 | Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295 | KNOW LIES was a clear last on jumping but secured a rails run into the bend and proved too strong. JET TO MARS shifted up the track in the back straight inconveniencing TWISTER AL for some distance in the back straight. JET TO MARS continued to angle outwards pushing OHOKA SANDY wide on the bend. |

| Race 12 | Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 | JACKIE SHIRAZ was very slow to jump and remained last throughout. CAWBOURNE CATCH was tightened into the bend losing ground. OHOKA BLUE ran outwards into the bend checking MY LITTLE OAH and pushing BIGTIME YAHOO over extra ground. |
