Track: Good There were a number of reported pad injuries ( 8 ) which required periods of stand down after racing today and also a number of Trial dogs were reported to have suffered pad injuries in trials following the last race. All the reported pad injuries occurred in the last half of the programme and the problem was discussed by the Stewards and Track staff who will endeavour to rectify the problem prior to Fridays race meeting.
Scales: In need of Calibration again
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: RANDOM ACT, an entrant in race 12 weighed in 1.6 kilograms overweight from its last start weight on 09. 01..2013. However, no penalty was imposed due to the scales showing a discrepancy of . 2 of a kilogram when checked by the Stewards and the Club will have them thoroughly tested as soon as possible

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	WAIMAK DAVE was slow to begin. NONU NONU BOOM shifted in on the first turn hampering LIQUORICE WHIP who was then galloped on by WAIMAK DAVE and she lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. HOMEBUSH LIMBO was also affected in the incident and was pushed very wide going into the bend.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	GUNPOWDER GERTIE and HOMEBUSH NOS were slow to begin losing four lengths. GUNPOWDER GERTIE made up ground well to finish in 4th place. WINSOME EXTRA and CUTS DEEP became awkwardly placed between runners on the first turn and lost two lengths. HILTON FRIDAY shifted in over the final stages and collided with SYDENHAM OPAL and they both lost momentum and this possibly cost both dogs the chance of closer placings.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 305	SUPREME SHELLEEN, WORKING CAMARADE and HOMEBUSH CHURRO were slow to begin and settled at the rear. WORKING CAMARADE and HOMEBUSH CHURRO made up ground well to finish in 3rd and 4th places. ANOTHER STONE shifted out going into the bend and forced ADDIS MATE wide and they covered extra ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 4	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 520	ALAMEIN DREAM and RICH LIST jostled together several times in the run to the first bend and they settled back. YEAH NAH, ALAMEIN DREAM and RICH LIST then bumped together going into the bend and YEAH NAH and ALAMEIN DREAM lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear while RICH LIST made up ground well to finish in 2nd place.
Race 5	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	EASY SILENCE and MISSY MACABRE bumped together and lost ground soon after the start. STEVIE'S MAGIC shifted out going to the first corner and caused checks to LOTUS, EASY SILENCE and WORKING WAIKATO who all lost ground, went back to the rear group and stayed there to the finish.
Race 6	Gary Ross Decorator C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1	CRINITI'S shifted in going into the first bend which resulted in RIJEKA checking off heels and shifted out forcing OPAWA CHANCE and CALM BROOKE to race wide on the bend. RIJEKA was referred to the Vet for assessment .
Race 7	Wanganui Security C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2	MOTOR MOUTH , MY LIL LUCIFER and KIWI RANGER bumped together going into the first bend and lost ground. FALSE STEP and RED CRYSTAL shared the lead into the first bend but bumped slightly and FALSE STEP lost a length at the point but recovered to win the race. MY LIL LUCIFER was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 8	Palamountains Nutrition C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3	SPEED LEGEND was a little slow to begin and was then hampered when HEROISM shifted in and pushed SPEED LEGEND across the heels of OPAWA CRUSHER. SPEED LEGEND was then forced to check over the heels of GIRLY DREAMZ going into the first bend losing further ground but he ran on very well from there to finish in 2nd place. GIRLY DREAMZ finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment as she appeared uncomfortable in her galloping action.
Race 9	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	HOME BREWER raced very wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment as her galloping action appeared to be uncomfortable. WAIRERE MIRACLE shifted out approaching the home straight and forced SEDGEBROOK SKITE wide into the straight. CARELESS TALK was also referred to the Vet for assessment
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C2 Final - C2f - 520	One of the favourites TRIPLE AYE drew box 8 and was forced to race wide throughout covering considerable extra ground and finished in 6th place. Another well supported runner MR REECE was awkwardly place adjacent to the rail in the back straight and was checked twice, went back to last and finished in that position. RAMESSEE was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 11	Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305	MARMALADE SKIES and HOMEBUSH ANABEL jostled to gether for some distance in the back straight and they came together along with SINGLE SCULLER on the first corner and all three lost ground and they finished in the last three places. TENKAY DOWN was observed to ease losing several lengths going into the first corner. TENKAY DOWN referred to the Vet for assessment with a recommendation of for 14 days stand down with pad injuries but was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for failing to pursue the lure throughout and is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1. TENKAY DOWN has since been rexamined under Rule 80.4 and the above stand down is rescinded and replaced with a 21 day stand down due to pad injuries and a tricep muscle tear.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	MISTER WHISKER was slow to begin losing two lengths. RANDOM ACT shifted out going into the bend and forced GUS THE MUSS and JIMMY THE BUCK very wide and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. GUSS THE MUSS was referred to the Vet for assessment.
