Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly .

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: CAWBOURNE TOBES completed a satisfactory trial which had been requested by the Stewards after the dog raced on 21.12.12 and the dog was also examined by the Vet on duty Mr Jansen and was cleared fit to race.

Race 1	Turf Digest Sprint C1 - C1 - 305	SEDGEBROOK SKITE began very awkwardly losing several lengths and he finished towards the rear. STEVIE'S MAGIC shifted in on the bend and hampered MS TOURNAMENTAL and LOTUS who both lost ground and they finished at the rear. The winner THRILLING PIPPI appeared to be walking short following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 2	Auckland GRC Sprint C1 - C1 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LAD was very slow to begin losing five lengths. HEY YOU shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to CYCLONE SIX and KAZILLION who both lost ground and finished at the rear.
Race 3	Cafe Cibo Upper Hutt Sprint C1 - C1 - 305	KING'S MISTRESS and SAND QUEEN were slow to begin and settled at the rear. KING'S MISTRESS checked over the heels of SEONG DUK and lost ground on the first corner and then checked over the heels of YOUR ON FIRE entering the home straight and finished in 7th place. SAND QUEEN shortened stride going to the first corner and appeared to be in some discomfort in the home straight and was referred to the Vet for assessment. The winner OPAWA CHARLIE was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 4	Dennis & Belinda Bargh Sprint C2 - C2 - 305	CALM RITA was very slow to begin losing four lengths and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. SURF QUAKE shifted out going into the first corner and caused a check to MY GIRL MARINA who went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 5	Committee Stakes C1 - C1 - 520	EL JETTA and CULLEN'S IMPACT bumped together soon after the start and CULLEN'S IMPACT lost ground. CULLEN'S IMPACT and PETROL VOUCHER bumped together going into the first bend and PETROL VOUCHER was the most affected and lost two lengths.
Race 6	Capital Paving Lower Hutt Sprint C3 - C3 - 305	The start was delayed by 3 minutes due to a broken muzzle having to be replaced. CALL ME RALPH was the slowest to begin and then had to check over the heels of ANOTHER SNAZZA going to the first corner but recovered well from those incidents to finish in 2nd place. KINETIC NEO, OPAWA WILD and SYDENHAM SAM jostled together going into the bend and they all lost ground and finished in the last three places.
Race 7	Otago GRC C2 - C2 - 520	SEVEN IRON shifted out from the start and checked SAMMY JAMES and SAMMY JAMES and RAMESSEE bumped together going into the first bend and lost ground. THRIILING TUNE was checked back to last entering the back straight. THRILLING TUNE and SAMMY JAMES collided entering the home straight when racing at the rear .
Race 8	Christchurch GRC Sprint C4 - C4 - 305	All clear.
Race 9	Opawa Racing Ltd C5 - C5 - 305	ROSEMORE OSTI and WEE DIGER came together going to the first corner and WEE DIGER was pushed wide going into the bend .
Race 10	Ashburton County GRC C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	SHOULD BE CARLOS shifted in from the start and caused bumping to THANKS CHARLIE, BACKYARD BULLY and HOT POOTIE who settled back. HOT POOTIE checked off the back of SHOULD BE CARLOS going into the first bend losing three lengths.
Race 11	The Brownzy Sports Bar C5 - C5 - 305	ENAZUMA, FLAG WAVER and KINETIC RIO came together and bumped soon after the start and they settled back. LEADFOOT LENNY shifted out going into the first corner and caused checks to HOWLIN WIND, SEE TO BELIEVE and ANOTHER HIT. SEE TO BELIEVE fell and was referred to the Vet for assessment
Race 12	E J Wing Memorial Challenge Cup - C5 - 520	CARUBA QUEEN was awkwardly placed going into the first bend and lost ground. She then drifted off the back of the field and looked uncomfortable in her galloping action, finishing several lengths last. CARUBA QUEEN was referred to the Vet for assessment.
