Health and Safety comment:
Judicial report: Trainer Marcie Flipp was questioned after one of her dogs escaped from her van and ran around the outskirts of the track at the end of a race. After hearing from Ms Flipp Stewards determined that no negligence was involved and issued her with a warning. Ms Flipp informed Stewards that she would be making some adjustments to the interior of her van to ensure this did not reoccur. Handler Lisa Grant was questioned after a dog that was being swabbed escaped from her. It was established that a borrowed lead that was being used had been chewed through and broke when the dog became agitated. No further action was deemed necessary.
