Judicial report: Mr J.Lane the co-trainer of SECRET ARNIE, a starter in Race 9, was fined $100 under the Minor Infringements Table when admitting a charge under Rule 69.11 that the greyhound weighed in at 1.7kg under his last race start on 14 December 2012. In Race 13 a charge under Rule 80.1.b of WELLYWOOD failing to pursue the lure was found proven by the Steward after reviewing video replays. Postscript: WELLYWOOD was presented to the vet on Sunday, 6 January 2013 in accordance with Rule 80.4 for re-examination with a torn hip muscle evident requiring a 28 day stand down, which meets the criteria for "seriously injured". The Steward has removed the 28 day suspension imposed under Rule 80.1.b and ordered that the greyhound complete a Satisfactory Trial only before being eligible to race as provided under Rule 80.5.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	From the jump COALPIT MICK ran sharply inwards and tightened the dogs on its inner. Shortly afterwards MAKE YOUR POINT crossed from the outside box and forced COALPIT MICK inwards checking both LIFE'S A LAUGH and OHOKA ASHLEY.
Race 2	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C0 - 295	GO BRIDIE was slow to jump. On the turn ANOTHER WARNING crossed and was clipped in the rear by INNER BEAUTY with both dogs losing momentum. In the home straight INNER BEAUTY checked outwards off GET OFF IT colliding briefly with MULBERRY MACO and forcing ALL FOR ONE wide.
Race 3	Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C2 - 520	KNOW CHAOS was slow to jump and when improving into the first turn pushed along the inside of SRETROR causing that dog to become unbalanced briefly and lose ground.
Race 4	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C0 - 295	From the jump CAMRAY was slow and lost ground. At the jump STARLA shifted inwards and checked ZIP ZAP ZAPPA with GO ALICE and TEPIRITA RUBY also inconvenienced. Into the turn OKUKU MUPPET moved out and checked STARLA, and into the home straight TEPIRITA RUBY ran out and struck the rear of SADDLEBACK PATCH with both dogs losing momentum.
Race 5	NZRS Novice Stakes Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1	BIZARRO and KIN NIKKI were slow to jump. Into the first turn CHILL OUT RALPH and NOISY LEO came together and lost momentum. In the back straight KIN NIKKI ran outwards and forced NOISY LEO wide.
Race 6	Shirley Veterinary Centre Sprint - C0 - 295	Into the turn DIXIE QUEEN checked off the rear of LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE and lost ground. TEEVEE GIDGET checked outwards off STOLEN MONEY and went back on top of TOP PLAYER who shifted out and clipped the rear of TEEVEE GIDGET with both dogs losing momentum. On the turn DIXIE QUEEN ran wide and then into the home straight PANCHO PISTOLES and TEPIRITA TUITEKA came together and checked stride.
Race 7	NZRS Novice Stakes Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2	LINE HONOURS was very slow to jump and lost several lengths. Into the first turn THRILLING JONAH crossed and checked the running of TIME FOR WHAT.
Race 8	Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C2 - 295	Into the first turn NEW YORK AFFAIR checked off the rear of GEORGIE WONG and lost ground.
Race 9	NZRS Novice Stakes Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 3	OHOKA FRENCHI was slow to jump. Shortly after the jump CHOOSE TO LOVE shifted outwards and checked OHOKA FRENCHI. On the first turn SEA SPRAY DORIS lost ground when checked by OPAWA CHANCE.
Race 10	Jet Pets Dash - C2 - 295	Into the turn AVEC LAMOUR shifted outwards and ANOTHER COLT crossed over and as the field tightened SALUTE TO RADAR checked stride off the rear of AVEC LAMOUR and fell heavily. The trailing FOGGY STORM was severely hampered by the falling dog. SALUTE TO RADAR regained his feet and finished the race a distant last with a vet check revealing no injury sustained by the fall.
Race 11	NZRS Novice Stakes Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 4	BONE NERD and WAYLEGGO were slow to jump. Into the first turn BONE NERD and MAINLAND STAR came together and lost momentum. OPAWA WEBBY crossed from the outside and collided with UNO FLASH with both dogs losing ground.
Race 12	NZRS Novice Stakes Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 5	PIED WARRIOR was very slow to jump and lost several lengths. From the jump WYNDHAM shifted inwards and checked INDI'S GRACE. Into the first turn MATULINO ran outwards and forced OPAWA NO EAR wide on the track.
Race 13	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C1 - 295	WILL EXCITE was slow to jump. In the run to the turn LADY IN SHADES shifted outwards and checked the running of AYKROYD. Into the turn WELLYWOOD when vying for the lead was observed by the Steward to have turned its head outwards towards MULBERRY BROOK and both dogs went wide on the turn. The co-trainer Ms S.Nissen was shown the replay of the race and stated that she believed the dog had been struck by another on its inner and had sustained injuries consistent with being dragged down. WELLYWOOD was examined by the vet in accordance with Rule 80.2 and whilst there was a sand mark on its lower back under the cover she was found to be clear of any injury requiring a stand down. Ms Nissen denied the charge proferred under Rule 80.1.b of failing to pursue the lure, but WELLYWOOD was charged by the Steward of failing to pursue the lure, suspended for 28 days and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. Race 14	Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C1 - 295	MULBERRY CATO was slow to jump. From the jump OHOKA HART shifted outwards and checked MIGHTY MONICA. Into the turn WANDY GAYLENE lost ground when tightened between WANDY MILLAH and BLONDE TORI. On the turn OHOKA HART ran out and lost ground.
Race 15	Speight's Sprint - C1 - 295	NITRO EXPRESS was slow to jump. At the jump KNOW JEALOUSY and GOTTA GO ACE came together and lost momentum. On the turn KNOW JEALOUSY ran outwards and forced GOTTA GO ACE and RANDY OUTSIDE wide on the turn.
