Track: Good The track had been lightly power harrowed the day prior to the meeting and after heavy rain overnight it was quite soft on top but improved quickly during the hour prior to race one and was in good order for the racing.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	MARJANSHAR shifted in from the start and hampered MIC PLAYER who lost ground. RICH LIST and YEAH NAH collided soon after the start and settled back. MIC PLAYER shifted out going to the first corner and bumped with YEAH NAH. MARJANSHAR checked over the heels of CLUAIN MEALA going to the first corner and lost ground. BILLY HOLMES and RICH LIST collided going into the first corner and both made contact with the rail and were referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305	AVERSION and RUN MISCHIEF RUN were slow to begin losing three lengths and they stayed back throughout to finish in the last two places
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305	One of the favourites RED MOOVA HOOVA began a little awkwardly and settled back and he then raced wide over extra ground on the bend and finished in 4th place.
Race 4	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 520	PETROL VOUCHER was slow to begin losing three lengths but she made up ground well to finish in 4th place. MAJMA checked over the heels of BIG GIRL WELSHY going into the first corner and lost three lengths. MAJMA and KAZILLION bumped together losing ground on the final bend and they finished in the last two places.
Race 5	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305	ANOTHER SNAZZA was slow to begin losing two lengths. FIRE BOY BAXTER shifted in going to the first corner and hampered FAMILY'S PRIDE who lost two lengths.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C2 - C2 - 305	CALM RITA was slow to begin losing three lengths but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. SHOWTIME ADDIS shifted in going to the first corner and checked BILLY HAKA and a few strides further on, NELLY FLAHERTY and they both lost several lengths and finished at the rear.
Race 7	Gary Ross Decorator C3 - C3 - 305	YALDHURST EDWARD and JACKIE SHIRAZ were slow to begin losing two lengths. One of the favourites RUN JUNIOR RUN raced wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in 6th place.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C3 - C3 - 305	WAZZA FREEBIE, OPAWA PRINCE and ALL THE RAGE were slow to begin losing three lengths. DYNAMIK SPIRIT was checked and fell going into the bend and BIMBOO and ALL THE RAGE were also affected in the incident and lost ground. DYNAMIK SPIRIT was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 9	Keenan Concrete C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	STILL HELINA shifted out soon after the start and forced PINK SOCK a little wide going to the first corner.
Race 10	Mickey's Super Liquor C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	ANOTHER BLEND was checked on the first corner and went back causing checks to RIBA LORDA and HOT SHOT LAWYER who both fell and also affected were FURIOUS RESPONSE and OKUKU WEE MAN who both lost ground in the incident. RIBA LORDA and HOT SHOT LAWYER were referred to the Vet for assessment. STUMPY KASHKOW led going into the bend but then eased and went back through the field to finish near the rear and just ahead of the two dogs who fell. STUMPY KASHKOW was also referred to the Vet for assessment and was stood down for 21 days
Race 11	Broad Roofing C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	WATERBUG, SASSAFRAS and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY came together and jostled for a few strides soon after the start. Going to the first corner, LINDOP, SASSAFRAS and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY came together and jostled for several strides. The winner LOUIE MACHALL lunged at the lure when pulling up and appeared to suffer a hind leg injury. He was referred to the Vet for an assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	HOMEBUSH BORIS began awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance.
