Track: Good With the recent wet weather in the area, the track had firmed up and was running a little faster than other recent meetings but was still in very good racing order and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305	CAWBOURNE TINA was handy going into the bend but was checked from behind when HOMEBUSH ALEX raced onto her heels and both dogs lost several lengths and they stayed back to finish at the rear. SNAP TO IT shifted out abruptly approaching the straight entrance and he finished the race close to the outside fence.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 305	CALM RITA and HOMEBUSH BUFFY were the slowest to begin and they stayed back throughout the race to finish in the last two places. GEMS CONQUEST led on the bend but drifted a little wide which allowed FAMILY'S PRIDE to move through on the inside to take the lead and win the race.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C3 - C3 - 305	CAWBOURNE STEFFI was checked losing three lengths going to the first corner when REAL CLEVER and HOMEBUSH DOMINO shifted into her line of running. STAT ME UP shifted out on the bend and hampered OPAWA WILD who lost three lengths.
Race 4	J P Print Petone C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	SQUEEZER began awkwardly losing four lengths.
Race 5	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3 - C3 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LEE was slow to begin but made up griound to finish in 3rd place. RUN JUNIOR RUN shifted out soon after the start and checked across the heels of CAWBOURNE DARCY. He then drifted wide into the bend forcing ANOTHER LEGIN over extra ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	JAG YOU ARE shifted out from the start and hampered GO BOOF who lost a little ground. JAG YOU ARE , MICK MANIA and FLYING REBEL jostled together going to the first corner and MICK MANIA and JAG YOU ARE lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 7	Gary Ross Decorator C4 - C4 - 305	The start of this race was delayed by two minutes after a heavy downpour had caused water to run across the track near the winning post and after being inspected by the Curator and Stewards, the all clear to race was given. BULET TOOTH TONY shifted in from the start and bumped FREDDIE BAXTER onto HOWLIN WIND with all three losing ground and settling back. NIP TUCK led from the start but went off stride going into the bend and drifted back to finish in last place. NIP TUCK was referred to the Vet for an assessment, was cleared of injury and the Trainer advised the Stewards that NIP TUCK will now be retired for breeding purposes.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	BARRY'S WAY and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY were slow to begin losing three lengths. HOT SHOT LAWYER shifted in entering the home straight and hampered PLANKING who lost two lengths in the incident.
Race 9	Mickey's super Liquor C4 - C4 - 305	SLANGEVAR shifted in from the start and pushed CAWBOURNE TANK in onto HOMEBUSH CRAIG who was hampered and dropped back to last and stayed there for the remainder of the race. SASSAFRAS shifted out on the bend to race wide on the track and in doing so caused a check to IONA HAKA who lost four lengths.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C3 Feature - C3 - 520	THRILLING AVA began awkwardly and collided with OPAWA GIFT who lost ground and settled at the rear and stayed there throughout the race. THRILLING AVA checked over the heels of BIGTIME WHIZZ and lost ground on the final bend.
Race 11	Broad Roofing C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	FLAG WAVER shifted in from the start and hampered INISHFREE, LEADFOOT LENNY and PRINCELY DOLLAR who all lost ground with INISHFREE the most affected runner. Soon after entering the home straight, LEADFOOT LENNY checked over the heels of COOL CHARMER with both losing ground .
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	DONNA BAXTER shifted in from the start and checked MIRAGE who lost ground. Soon after, MIRAGE and SEE TO BELIEVE came together and they jostled for some distance with both losing ground. MIRAGE was the most affected losing several lengths and they finished in the last two places.
