NOM DE PLUME ran inwards at the end of the back straight tightening LIQUORICE WHIP and GOLDSTAR BELLA with these runners losing ground. MULBERYY HUNTER then angled outwards checking UNO GREEN who dropped to the rear. On the turn NOM DE PLUME and CAWBOURNE BROOKE came together with GOLDSTAR BELLA being held up for a few strides in behind them. |
| Race 2 | Shirley Veterinary Centre Sprint - C0 - 295 | SPRINGSTOWN and ZIP ZAP ZAPPA were slowest from the boxes. In a roughly run early section MULBERRY MACRO angled inwards coming together with HAZZA'S GOT SWAG with ZIP ZAP ZAPPA and SPRINGSTOWN both being tightened and losing ground. HARLEY HAKA received a check losing some momentum and on the bend YES HE WILL ran inwards coming together with OPAWA LEIGHTON and losing a length. HAZZA'S GOT SWAG angled outwards on the home turn and checked MULBERRY MACRO for a stride. |
| Race 3 | Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C1 - 295 | MIGHTY MONICA ran inwards in the early stages checking REAL SLIM SHADY with both runners losing ground. On the home turn MIGHTY MONICA ran outwards pushing REAL SLIM SHADY over extra ground when both dogs were racing at the rear. |
| Race 4 | Jet Pets Sprint - C1 - 295 | MULBERRY BROOK was tightened into the bend as SYRIP'S GIRL angled to the rail with MULBERRY BROOK dropping to the rear. |
| Race 5 | Wilson's Sports Bar & T.A.B. Dash - C1 - 295 | OUR HOPE and HOMEBUSH COLT were slowest from the traps. CLAREMONT PIZZAZ ran inwards contacting MUM'S PRODIGY on two occasions in the early stages with MUM'S PRODIGY losing ground. SING CILLA BLACK ran outwards at this stage checking HEAR HARE HERE who lost ground. SING CILLA BLACK ran outwards on the turn and lost ground. |
| Race 6 | Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW LIES was last to jump. On the first bend UNO FLASH checked off the back of RAMBUNCTIOUS and lost ground. |
| Race 7 | Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C1 - 295 | SLIGHTLY AMAZING and ARCHIE'S DOLL were slow to jump. SLIGHTLY AMAZING then ran outwards sharply checking ARCHIE'S DOLL who lost a few lengths and settled a clear last. EL MAESTRO angled outwards into the bend tightening MAKE YOUR POINT. Wider out HOMEBUSH CRUDEN and NEW ORDER were both forced to cover extra ground. SLIGHTLY AMAZING then again angled outwards pushing NEW ORDER even wider around that bend. |
| Race 8 | Hampden Tavern Stakes Final - C1f - 520 | CASLEY and CAWBOURNE TILLY came together into the bend and dropped to the rear. OPAWA PATCH checked off LINE HONOURS into the first bend and ran outwards checking TIME FOR WHAT with both runners losing ground. |
| Race 9 | Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C1 - 295 | ANOTHER COLT ran sharply inwards in the early stages causing checks to PERFECT CLARITY and HOMEBUSH LESTAT in the process. |
| Race 10 | racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295 | MULBERRY CATO was a clear last at the jump. HANNAH angled outwards checking ULTIMATE SPICE for a stride in the early stages while wider CAWBOURNE SPEAR edged outwards placing AYKROYD and SECRET NADIA in tight quarters. MULBERRY CATO angled outwards on the home turn and came together with CAWBOURNE SPEAR with MULBERRY CATO losing some momentum as a result. |
| Race 11 | Speight's Dash - C1 - 295 | OPAWA CHANCE turned in the boxes and took no part in the race. This dog then successfully completed a box trial later in the afternoon. PARKERMON ran inwards into the bend severely checking LADY IN SHADES who lost her chance. |
