Judicial report: Trainer W.Goodwin was reminded of his obligations under Rule 66.5 when he failed to advise the Stewards that STEEL BELT in race 5 was under his care in the absence of Trainer S Ross who was unable to attend the meeting. Trainer S.Maher was also reminded of his obligations in relation to the same Rule when he handled OPAWA SWEDE in race 10 in the absence of Trianers J & D Fahey who were not in attendance at the meeting.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	HAZZA'S GOT SWAG, ALL IN ALL and GERARD HAKA bumped together soon after the start and lost a little ground. I'M A CATCH was checked and almost fell going to the first corner losing several lengths and finished in 2nd last place. ALL IN ALL checked over the heels of WORKING CAMARADE approaching the home straight and lost three lengths.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	DON'T BE NOSEY slipped behind in its initial stride out of the boxes and lost several lengths. BUBBLE OSTEE and ONE EAR POISED were also slow to begin and they stayed back to finish in the last three places with ONE EAR POISED racing very wide on the bend and into the straight and she finished in last place.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 520	PANDEMONIUM PAWS shifted out from box 1 at the start and caused checks to SHEZA TERROR, ALAMEIN DREAM and RICH LIST who all lost ground. POISED BOY shifted out going into the first bend and checked SHEZA TERROR and ALAMEIN JAH and POISED BOY galloped on the back of SHEZA TERROR on the home turn with both dogs losing ground and they finished at the rear.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ LTD) C0 - C0 - 305	MY LITTLE RIPPA was slow to begin losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the race. KNOCKA OFF TIME and THRILLING CHAOS bumped together going to the first corner and THRILLING CHAOS lost three lengths and stayed well back to the finish.
Race 5	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 305	STEEL BELT was down 2.9 kilograms in weight from its previous start and this was intentional. MORNING LIGHT shifted in going to the first corner and checked WORKING POLAR who lost three lengths. SHEZA WHAT WHAT shifted out on the bend and collided with STEVE'S MAGIC and they both lost several lengths and finished in the rear group.
Race 6	Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 520	LITTLE MIDNIGHT and DARBY LANE were slow to begin losing two lengths. OPAWA STU checked off the back of OTEWA BELLA on the final bend and lost three lengths.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LAD shifted out going to the first corner and hampered CANDY'S DANDY and SAFFRON FLAHERTY. THAT IS ALL checked off the heels of TENKAY DOWN going to the first corner and soon after, ANOTHER SNAZZA shifted out forcing THAT IS ALL off line and this resulted in CAWBOURNE TRAVIS checking off THAT IS ALL'S heels and shifting out forcing SAFFRON FLAHERTY wide into the bend and they both lost several lengths and finished at the rear.
Race 8	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 520	MISSION DRIVE, WEARY TRAVELER and OPAWA PATCH were checked and fell going into the first bend. They were examined by the Vet and MISSION DRIVE was stood down for 7 days with grazing and bruising, WEARY TRAVELER was stood downn for 14 days with concussion and OPAWA PATCH was cleared of injury.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C1D - C1d - 645	RETALIATE FIRST, PAR and THRILLING SOUND were slow to begin and settled at the rear. PAR and RETALIATE FIRST recovered to finish in 1st and 3rd places.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 11	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	BOTANY PRANCER was the slowest to begin but made up ground well to win the race. NEW ORDER was checked going to the first corner and lost three lengths and soon after, CAWBOURNE TINA who was in a handy position was checked losing five lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	All clear.
Race 13	Renown Bakery C1 - C1 - 305	NUTS FOR SURE was hampered entering the home straight as SCARILICIOUS moved through on the inside. NUTS FOR SURE was examined by the Vet at the request of the Trainer and stood down for 10 days with a cut paw.
Race 14	Box 9 Catering C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH ANABEL and FLOSSY HAKA bumped together and EXCITED ROYALE and ANOTHER JEWEL bumped together going to the first corner with all four dogs losing momentum and they settled at the rear.
Race 15	Opawa Racing Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	HANNAH was handy in 2nd place going into the bend but drifted from there and finished three lengths last. She was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury.
