Judicial report: CIRCLE OF LIFE ( R Maisey) was stood down under Rule (81 ) for an unsatisfactory performance to complete a satisfactory trial/s .to provide a certificate of fitness before racing again.

Race 1 | Absolutley Electrical C0 - C0 - 305 | SUMMERTIME BOBBY was slow away from the boxes. CIRCLE OF LIFE which jumped only fair, settled midfield and began to give ground rounding the first bend. CIRCLE OF LIFE was from there on observed to be galloping indifferently and was sent for a veterinary inspection where no abnormalities were found. The connections of CIRCLE OF LIFE were shown a reply of the race with the Stewards determing that the dogs performance today was unsatisfactory The connections agreed with the Stewards reasoning and CIRCLE OF LIFE has been stood down to complete a satisfactory trial /s with a certificate of fitness to be provided before her next race start. |
Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305 | KNOCKA OFF TIME and HOMEBUSH RICK made contact on several occasions racing down the back straight. RUTHLESS made contact with the running rail approaching the first bend. RUTHLESS was inspected after the race by the Veterinarian with no abnormalities found Approaching the first bend, IM A CATCH shifted in forcing HOMEBUSH SMOKE in, which made contact with the running rail and lost ground. HOMEBUSH SMOKE was inspected after the race by the Veterinarian with no abnormalities found Rounding the final bend, HOMEBUSH SMOKE got up onto the heels of IM A CATCH when shifting out to obtain clear running. |
Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 305 | TEPERITA JAZIL (fav) was away well vying for the lead in the initial stages ELLO ELLE moved outwards at causing crowding between WORKING CAMARADE TEREPITA JAZIL and NINA BE GOOD WORKING COMARADE and TEREPITA JAZIL both were checked losing ground back to wards the rear and both ran wide across the top bend and were not able to get back in to contention there after |
Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305 | Racing in to the first turn SEDGEBROOK LEE ran in bumping RON BAXTER who almost hit the rail KUROHARA then came across tightning these two runners inwards In behind these runners SMIDGED ran on to the back of THAT IS ALL who had cut across to the rail SMIDGED ran outwards sharply causing MRS BOUQUET to run out wide in behind KUROHARA ran outwards taking CALM RITA wide in to the top bend all these runners lost 7 lengths and were not able to make ground there after The winner BELLA SIENNA was able to get to the front early staying clear of trouble in behind . BELLA SIENNA was sent for a vet check on returning to the kennels.where she was found to have a fractured toe left fore with a 28 day stand down recommended |
Race 5 | J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 305 | Soon after the start POWER GIRL ran in and bumped SEDGEBROOK SKITE soon after MS TOURNAMENTAL causing tighting between HELLO ELLO ALL THE RAGE POWER GIRL and SISAL with POWER GIRL HELLO ELLO and SISAL all losing ground back towards the rear BACK AT YA was clear leader racing in to the first turn where she ran wide across the top bend in to the home straight covering a fair amount of extra ground giving away her advantage where she finished in 4th placing at the line |
Race 6 | Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305 | Just after the start, SINGLE SCULLER shifted out across the heels of SHOWTIME ADDIS which crossed to the lead and as a result crowded FLOSSY HAKA, SISTER VIRTUE and BLAIR NINETY. Approaching the first bend, SISTER VIRTUE shifted out into the line of SINGLE SCULLER which checked off that runners heels. FLOSSY HAKA which was trailing SINGLE SCULLER was also checked. |
Race 7 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305 | BILLY HAKA was akwardly away for a stride Racing in to the bend GUNNA EXCITE crossed the heels of THRILLING SQUEAL in to the line of KATE ROSE who was forced out wide across the top bend |
Race 8 | Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305 | Soon after the start HOMEBUSH GWEN and GHOST CHIPS bumped with HOMEBUSH GWEN becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides and losing ground back to the rear Racing in to the first bend GHOST CHIPS was pushed out wide |
Race 9 | Wanganui Security C1 Ht1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 | Racing to the post the first time TRIPLE AYE (fav) was forced to check back off the heels of THATS KING and ran out widest around the first bend TRIPLE AYE was able to keep his ground getting back down towards the rail to carry on for a gutsy win |
Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C1 Ht2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2 | As they left the boxes ROLLEM UP JOANY and REGAL STEP bumped for a stride. THRILLING GRACE was away well in the run to the post first time then drifted to the rear and was observed to be uncomfortable in her galloping action through out the remainder of the race tailing off by 10 lengths at the line THRILLING GRACE was sent for a vet check where she was found to be suffering pain over the right triangle muscle with a 10 day stand down recommended |
Race 11 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305 | TUI HOTLIPS, CYCLONE SIX and HOMEBUSH SCOTTY were all crowded shortly after the start between HEY YOU which was shifting out and THIRSTY SHAYNE which was shifting in. These runners lost ground with CYCLONE SIX suffering the serverity of the tightening and going back to the rear of the field. |
Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 305 | LINDOP was crowded shortly after the start when BOSS MAN SLOY forced that runner onto the heels of HOMEBUSH ANABEL. LINDOP lost ground and ran wide around the top bend. SAND BUSTER shifted in rounding the first bend crowding HOMEBUSH ANABEL which was checked losing ground. BOSS MAN SLOY(Fav) which began fairly, settled in midfield, before becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of SAND BUSTER approaching the first bend. BOSS MAN SLOY was then held up for clear racing room behind SAND BUSTER for some distance HOMEBUSH ANABEL then raced thru on the inner of BOSS MAN SLOY forcing that runner out on to the heels of SAND BUSTER BOSS MAN SLOY lost more ground ending up last in to the home straight and was not able to improve his position |
