Track: Good The track was well presented but the Stewards will be talking with the Club Management and Track Staff regarding the watering and grooming of the track during the race meetings in the future to ensure that a good even surface is maintained throughout the meeting.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	SEDGEBROOK LEE and BOBS YOUR UNCLE were slow to begin. SEDGEBROOK LEE made up ground well to finish in 2nd place but BOBS YOUR UNCLE stayed back and finished last. OPAWA BLACK and NICKI HAKA collided soon after the start and NIKI HAKA went back to the rear. DONT KNOW and RUN STACEY RUN bumped together going to the first corner and DONT KNOW continued to keep RUN STACEY RUN out wider on the bend which cost both runners ground.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C2 Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	CARELESS TALK and AGENT JORGE bumped together going to the first corner and again going into the bend and AGENT JORGE lost four lengths in the 2nd incident but recovered to finish in 4th place.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C2 Ht3 - C2q - 305 Heat 3	COOL EXPLORER began awkwardly and settled at the rear. HOMEBUSH BUFFY shifted in going into the bend and checked AGENT VICTOR who lost three lengths but he ran on to finish in 3rd place. The favourite JUKE BOX BOY was a little slow to begin and settled back in the field and he then checked off the heels of FIRE BOY BAXTER on the first corner losing several lengths and finished in last place. JUKE BOX BOY was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a torn long head tricep muscle.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 Ht4 - C2q - 305 Heat 4	OPAWA GIFT was slow to begin losing three lengths but she recovered quickly to race around the field and finished in 3rd place. YALDHURST EDWARD jostled KAZILLION soon after the start and KAZILLION lost ground. YALDHURST EDWARD and HOMEBUSH BAZIL then jostled together for several strides until YALDHURST EDWARD went ahead and won the race. HAIR SHE IS galloped on the back of HOMEBUSH BAZIL and dragged that runner down behind on the bend and HOMEBUSH BAZIL was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5	J P Print, Petone C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	SAMBUCCA shifted in going to the first corner and checked JUST MAC and soon after checked BOTANY MATTHEW and PAR who made firm contact with the rail. PAR then shifted back out to collide with BOTANY MATTHEW and SAMBUCCA and all three lost ground. SAMBUCCA and PAR were examined by the Vet and SAMBUCCA was stood down for 14 days with spike wounds to the left hind foot while PAR was cleared of injury.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305	All clear.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor C3 - C3 - 305	One of the favourites SYDENHAM SAM was handy enough going to the first corner but was checked and went back onto another reasonably well supported runner CAWBOURNE ELLEN and they both went back to the rear and stayed well back.
Race 8	Broad Roofing C4 - C4 - 305	SLANGEVAR, ANOTHER LADY and BILLY WHIZZ were slow to begin losing two lengths. ANOTHER LADY and SLANGEVAR made up ground well to finish in 2nd and 4th places but BILLY WHIZZ stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	ODE TO LIBERTY began very awkwardly and almost fell losing several lengths and all chance and finished in last place. OPAWA THORN also began awkwardly losing four lengths. He then ran wide over extra ground on the bend and into the straight and finished in 5th place.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	SAM I AM , TUMMY KRUNCHES and OOH LA COOL led into the first turn but jostled together and TUMMY KRUNCHES and OOH LA COOL dropped back. KEROBOKAN then collided with the back of OOH LA COOL , fell heavily and collided with the outside fence. KEROBOKAN pulled up soon after and was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to compound fractures of radius and ulna. OOH LA COOL continued in the race following the incident but faltered on the final bend and dropped out to finish several lengths last and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 42 days due to a fractured hock.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C5 - C5 - 305	ROADMANS SHACK was checked going into the bend and went back onto FLAG WAVER and they lost three lengths. ROADMANS SHACK then checked over the heels of SUIT YOURSELF on the bend and shifted out forcing FLAG WAVER wide and they finished in the last two places.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	'VISIONARY MAN was slow to begin losing three lengths and he then raced wide on the bend and into the straight over extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. CAWBOURNE MADZ faltered soon after the finiishing line, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 42 days with a fractured hock.
