Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Smidged was a late scratching due to a misunderstanding between the Trainer A.Speight and the Steward. SMIDGED had been presented for Vetting at Manawatu on 29.10.12 and stood down and while no charge was preferred on this occasion, Ms Speight was issued with a warning and advised that such leniency would not be given if there was any further rule breach in future.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	JAMIE BAXTER was very slow to begin losing several lengths and all chance. WORKING WAIKATO and REBEL JOE collided when the start was made and soon after ELLO ELLE shifted out and collided with WORKING WAIKATO. YEAH NAH galloped on the back of ELLO ELLE going into the bend dragging that runner down behind and ELLO ELLE lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. She was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. The winner OTEWA BELLA was also examined by the Vet at the Handlers request and stood down for 10 days with a spike wound.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 520	KIWI RANGER shifted in from the start and checked MONKEY QUEEN and TRIPLE AYE who both lost a little ground. TRIPLE AYE shifted in going into the first bend and collided with KIWI RANGER and they both lost momentum for a couple of strides. KIWI RANGER and TALK BACK came together and bumped soon after and lost ground and they stayed back for the remainder of the race and finished at the rear.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 305	ALL IN ALL and WORKING CAMARADE came together and bumped soon after the start and a few strides later, FAT SALLY and WORKING CAMARADE bumped together losing a little momentum. FAT SALLY shifted out going into the first corner and checked off the heels of SUMMERTIME BOBBY , blundered and lost three lengths. SUMMERTIME BOBBY checked off the heels of INTENSE ZOOM on the bend and shifted out to race wide into the straight and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood C1 - C1 - 305	One of the favourites SCOTT ME GOING was the slowest to begin and was then checked going into the bend when awkwardly placed between runners and she lost four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 5	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 305	SCOTT NO MONEY and SHAME ON EAMON were the slowest to begin. SCOTT NO MONEY made up ground well to win but SHAME ON EAMON finished well back. THRILLING SQUEAL shifted out on the first corner and inconvenienced GINA MAC who lost ground. GINA MAC was again checked on the bend, went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 6	Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305	All clear.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	BULLABAKANKA , HOMEBUSH FRASER and DOUBLE TAPP jostled together for some distance in the race to the first corner and they lost ground and settled back. HOMEBUSH FRASER recovered the best of the three and finished in 3rd place.
Race 8	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305	IMPERATIVE was slow to begin losing two lengths. IMPERATIVE, SISAL and HOMEBUSH GWEN came together going into the bend and they lost a little momentum for a few strides.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH SCOTTY and FACE THE DEMON were slow to begin. PHANTOM HAKA checked off the heels of CALM RITA going to the first corner and shifted out and collided with BLAIR NINETY and they both lost several lengths and all chance. JETSUN JULES was checked and lost three lengths on the bend when DOING THE TIME improved through on the inside.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	HEAR HARE HERE shifted out from the start and caused checks to HOMEBUSH LACEY, SEDGEBROOK SKITE, SHARKIES DREAM and THATS KING and they all lost ground and settled back.
Race 11	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	POWER GIRL was slow to begin losing two lengths. POWER GIRL and MAINLAND SONIC came together going into the bend and they lost three lengths and stayed back to the finish. LARA PINTER suffered a spike to a hind foot and was stood down for 7 days.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH HELL'S was slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground to finish in 3rd place. The favourite SNAP TO IT began well to be handy going to the first corner but was severely checked and went backk to last. He then ran very wide into the home straight and finished at the rear. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury.
