| Race 2 | ADDED ENERGY - C0 - 390 | DALLAS HAKA and SEE SPOT RUN were the last to jump. ZAHRA ducked inwards soon after the jump checking ANOTHER WARNING and SECRET NICOLE with this trio settling at the rear. GRANT A WISH covered extra ground into the bend and lost ground. NEW INGILLTAB and GRANT A WISH came together on the home turn and again in the home straight. |
| Race 3 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | FROGGY NEWITT was a clear last on jumping. JAMES ARTHUR ran sharply inwards in the early stages tightening BAM BAM, REAL FIRE POWER and SECRET VENUS all of whom were inconvenienced. |
| Race 4 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C1 - 390 | OPAWA BLAZE checked outwards into the bend as RUBYS GIRL crossed him with STARBURST HANNAH and TURBO TUNDRA being checked and MARMALADE SKIES being forced over extra ground. |
| Race 5 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C2 - 390 | WATERHOUSE was the last to jump. WANDY DEVIL ran inwards into the bend tightening SMASH AMEGO and EXCESSIVE SPEED for a few strides. SMASH AMEGO and TOWER were tightened as WATERHOUSE improved on the home turn. RULE JUDGE JUDY was badly tightened close to the line as WATERHOUSE ran inwards. |
| Race 6 | BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C4 - 390 | TEPIRITA TIKI and SHUNT APPEAL were tightened and dropped to the rear in the early stages as HAUKO ran outwards . ANYTIME WILL DO shifted outwards into the bend contacting SANTA SLOY for a stride with SHIRAZ ROSE anhd VITALIZE being inconvenienced and losing ground. |
| Race 7 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C2/3 - 390 | THRILLING SOUND was the last to jump. In the initial stages SMASH DORA lost ground after angling inwards and contacting STAR GUN. STAR GUN ran inwards into the bend tightening BENNYS ANGEL who then ran outwards and became unbalanced falling soon after. THRILLING SOUND was badly hampered at this stage. BENNYS ANGEL regained her paws and conpleted the race with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
| Race 8 | 100% SELECTRIX - C2/3 - 457 | BOBS EYE ran outwards in the back straight coming together with OPAWA BOMB for a stride. On the bend ANOTHER STAR and OPAWA STYLE came together. |
| Race 9 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 457 | JINJA JAM and INDIS GRACE were the slowest from the traps. CANVAS RIDER ran inwards in the back straight tightening PARTY ROCK and OPAWA STEVE who lost ground. OPAWA STEVE checked off the heels of MISS OZARK into the bend and lost momentum. |
| Race 10 | Invercargill Step Up Final - C1f - 457 | KNOW LIES was the last to jump. OPAWA BART and WANDY DESTINY came together in the early stages with OVER BID being tightened in between runners and losing ground. MONTY DOSH and WANDY DESTINY jostled for some distance into the bend. |
| Race 11 | Ascot Park Run Final - C2f - 457 | TIPPYS TORPEDO lost a tooth in the kennels and was checked and passed fit to race by the veterinarian. The emergencies PUKEKO FLYER and KNOW THOUGHT were the last to jump. OPAWA MIDNIGHT angled outwards in the back straight hampering BLACK EMILY and DITTMAN for some distance. PUKEKO FLYER checked outwards off runners into the bend pushing DITTMAN very wide with these two runners losing their chances. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C5 - 390 | VAMPIRES SHADOW and the favourite ROSCA were the last to jump. RUSSELL HART ran outwards in the back straight hampering JENNINGS and ROSCA. ROSCA was again checked on the bend when attempting to improve as OPAWA COLLAR checked outwards off runners and came into contact with the favourite. |
