Judicial report: The inquiry into the composition of the field in the SI Sprint Championships on 21 October at the Otago GRC has been completed with no further action necessary. It was confirmed that the field was drawn as per the conditions in the magazine. Trainer Dave Fahey reported that after an xray today OPAWA EYE was found to have a fractured metatarsal following its race at Manawatu on 22 October. Under Rule 80.7 the endorsement of marring against NOVAS FORTUNE is cancelled this dog having completed 10 clear runs.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	HOT SHOT LAWYER was a clear last on jumping. OKOTOKS wanted to run outwards into the bend and came together with ATTIRE with OKOTOKS dropping to the rear. DECADO and OKUKU LILLY made contact on the bend with OKUKU LILLY being sent wide and losing ground.
Race 2	controlinsulation.co.nz Dash - C4 - 295	The favourite DRYSDALE was last to jump with COOL CHARMER also settling in the rear group. Into the bend WISE WONDER angled outwards with severe tightening causing DRYSDALE, THRILLING CLOVER and JACKSON CAT all to lose ground and their winning chances. DRYSDALE did make ground late for fourth. Jonathan McInerney the handler of the winner MISS IRON FIST when asked in regards to the improved performance of his bitch responded that an improved box draw and the ability to miss the early trouble contributed to the success.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH SARGE was last from the outside trap. FIREMANS ESCORT and FLIP THE DICE were tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear.
Race 4	Sky High Scaffolding Stakes - C3 - 520	OPAWA PEEKAY was last from the traps. KNOW THOUGHT and OPAWA RAPID were both tightened along the inside in the run to the first bend with KNOW THOUGHT hitting the rail and dropping to the rear. The veterinarian found no abnormalities after examining the dog post race. OPAWA PEEKAY was checked at the entrance to the back straight and lost ground.
Race 5	Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C3 - 295	YAPSTER JEWEL was the slowest to jump. HOMEBUSH CRUZ angled outwards on the home turn and came together with RADIATOR SPRINGS with both dogs losing momentum.
Race 6	Happy 65th Birthday Pam Hurd Sprint - C4 - 295	WAZZA FREEBIE was last to jump. GOTTA FIND BUBBA ran inwards tightening FANTA ALERT and MAGIC YOU over the early stages. IONA HAKA was checked by FIERY FLOWER on the bend with MAGIC YOU running outwards to avoid these runners pushing IONA HAKA wide. FANTA ALERT then checked outwards sharply off the back of IONA HAKA and pushed MAGIC YOU very wide around that bend. Stewards viewed the replay to ensure that no marring occurred when FANTA ALERT came off the rail and were satisfied that this was purely a racing incident with no further action deemed necessary. FIERY FLOWER was sent for a veterinary check that revealed no apparent injuries.
Race 7	Buy Sell & Exchange Dash - C5 - 295	THEOKOLES was the last to jump. OSCAR TUIVASA and NERD CORNER came together in the early stages. Soon after THEOKOLES ran outwards and checked NERD CORNER who again lost ground. Into the bend CLONE YOUR OWN angled outwards causing checks to GRIZZ and ZEBIDIAH who lost ground. A post race veterinary check of CLONE YOUR OWN revealed no abnormalities.
Race 8	Flatpack Houses Ph Murray 021480250 Stakes - C4 - 520	BARNABY BALE was tightened soon after the jump and settled a clear last. He was noticed making ground late for fourth. RILEYS MATE crossed quickly into the bend from an outside draw tightening DYNA DIEGO and BUSINESS PLAN. BUSINESS PLAN then stumbled for a stride and ran outwards checking TAKE NO PRISONER briefly and causing a severe check to ALISARAY who lost a lot of ground and her chance.
Race 9	Carol's T.A.B. Distance - C2d - 645	MORIARTY was tightened between GEOFF THE REF and KNOW FUN in the early stages with KOMBUCHA also losing ground along the inside. On the home turn THRILLING SOUND and KNOW FUN came together when at the rear. Following the race THRILLING JONAH was found to have hip support soreness with a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 10	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C5 - 295	ENFLAME received a severe check as KNOW MISTAKE crossed from her outside with ENFLAME dropping to the rear. WANDY HALLEE angled outwards into the bend pushing HOMEBUSH EDITH outwards on to EXCUSE PLEASE who was inconvenienced. HOMEBUSH EDITH then ran inwards coming together with ADINI.
Race 11	Flair Stakes - C5 - 520	KNOW SPUNK was very slow from the outside trap. LEKTRA FANTASY was tightened in the early stages and lost ground. This runner then ran wide around the first bend and continued to cover extra ground for the remainder of the race.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C4 - 295	COOL JORDIE was checked from behind into the first bend and lost ground. ICEBERG RAPPER was tightened along the inside and also lost ground at this stage. On the home turn KNOX ran outwards checking ANOTHER RAEWYN who then ran inwards coming together with ICEBERG RAPPER along the rail.
