Track: Good The track was recently power harrowed and was very well presented and with all equipment functioning well, the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Judicial report: DECEIVER who was a late scratching due to injury at Manawatu on 22.10.12, was represented today under Rule 82.5 and found to be free of injury with the original stand down rescinded.

Race 1 Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305 JAMIE BAXTER was slow to begin losing five lengths and all chance. NINA BE GOOD struck the hindquaters of ZACCARA going into the bend and they both checked losing ground . ZACCARA continued to drift and finished several lengths last, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tricep muscle injury.
Race 2 Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305 PUPPET MASTER, KNOCKA OFF TIME and HOMEBUSH EDDIE were slow to begin and settled at the rear. HOMEBUSH EDDIE shifted in quite sharply going to the first corner and made firm contact with the rail and fell heavily. He was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to severe shoulder lacerations. KNOCKA OFF TIME was stood down for 7 days with pain over a gracilus muscle.
Race 3 Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 520 HOMEBUSH CRUDEN shifted out slightly going into the first bend and forced GUCCI RUSH and ALAMEIN JAH wide and all three lost ground. BORASCO shifted out going into the final bend and checked GUCCI RUSH and ALAMEIN JAH who both lost a little ground and they finished well back.
Race 4 Crombie Lockwood C1 - C1 - 305 SEDGEBROOK SKITE was the slowest to begin and then ran wide over extra ground on the bend and finished in 6th place. RON BAXTER shifted in going to the first corner and checked GINA MAC who went back to last and finished in the position. SISTER VIRTUE checked over the heels of BOSS MAN SLOY entering the final straight and lost ground.
Race 5 J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 305 HOMEBUSH GWEN was slow to begin and she settled at the rear and stayed there for the entire race. HAPPY CLAPPY and SHAME ON EAMON came together and bumped for a few strides at the start and they settled well back and never improved.
Race 6 Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 520 All clear.
Race 7 Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305 SYDILICIOUS was slow to begin losing three lengths. SYDILICIOUS then galloped on the heels of MISSY MACABRE going to the first corner and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 8 Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 520 SHADOWS MATE was slow to begin losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place.
Race 9 Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305 ANOTHER JEWEL escaped from the Handler during the stirrup and ran some distance on concrete before being recaptured, examined by the Vet and was late scratched due to suffering from a stopper pad injury and a 5 day stand down was imposed. After questioning the dogs Handler and inspecting the lead which was found to be in new condition, the incident was deemed to be accidental and no further action was considered necessary. BOLT RAMA and MAGICO were the slowest to begin but they made up ground well to finish in 1st and 2nd places. BOLT RAMA, IMPERATIVE and RED HOT DUTCH jostled together for some distance in the run to the first corner and then on the first corner, FLOSSY HAKA shifted in and caused checks to itself and also IMPERATIVE and RED HOT DUTCH and they lost three lengths. TRICKY PAULA ran very wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in last place.
Race 10 Keenan Concrete C1 Final - C1f - 520 SHODSIE was one of the slowest to begin and then made contact with OPAWA PATCH on the first corner with both losing ground and they stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish in the last two places.
Race 11 Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305 TENKAY DOWN, HOMEBUSH JEM and KEZZ were slow to begin and settled at the rear. BUT ITS GREAT and SHOWTIME ADDIS bumped together soon after the start and SHOWTIME ADDIS then shifted in on the first corner causing checks to TENKAY DOWN, BUT ITS GREAT and DOING THE TIME and they went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 12 The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305 FACE THE DEMON and RIJEKA were slow to begin losing two lengths. RIJEKA then raced very wide over extra ground but still finished in 4th place.
